Layoff Allowance. (a) The accumulation of service for the purpose of calculating a layoff allowance shall continue after March 31, 2016 for all employees.
(b) When an employee having continuous service of one year or more is laid off, the Employer shall pay such an employee a layoff allowance equal to five (5) days' pay for each full year of continuous service but not exceeding one hundred and twenty-five (125) days' pay at the employee's regular rate of pay. Such allowance for part-time employees will be pro-rated on the basis of time worked in relation to the hours normally worked by a full- time employee.
(c) Where an employee is laid off, the layoff allowance shall be paid in a lump sum twelve (12) months after the date he was laid off, to the employee, his beneficiary, or estate as the case may be.
Layoff Allowance. A. It is expected that a support staff employee will be entitled to a minimum of two weeks layoff allowance regardless of the years of completed full-time service. Two completed months of regular part time employment will be deemed to equal one month of full time employment. Three completed months of casual employment for casual or temporary employees who become permanent employees (as provided in Article 1, Section E or F) will be deemed to equal one month of full time employment. The total allowance will be calculated based upon the total number of months derived from this formula.
B. An employee shall receive layoff allowance in one lump sum amount less applicable tax deductions, and must return to the University any amount paid if said employee is recalled and reinstated during the period covered by the layoff allowance. To the extent possible an employee will receive the layoff allowance at the same time that the employee receives his/her final paycheck. Failure of employees notified of layoff to present themselves to the Personnel Office to register for the central recall pool will result in the non-payment of layoff allowance.
C. In the event an employee is subject to subsequent layoff, he/she shall be entitled on each occasion to one (1) week's layoff allowance for each year of his/her bargaining unit seniority, up to a maximum of twenty-six (26) weeks, reduced by the number of weeks of layoff allowance previously received.
D. These layoff allowance provisions do not apply to a quit, a resignation, a discharge, or a group transfer of payroll from the Employer to another corporate or organizational entity.
Layoff Allowance. Employees who are laid off will be paid a layoff allowance based on their seniority and their base weekly wage rate in effect at the time of the layoff, in accordance with the following: Note: Part-time employees will receive a prorated amount based on the rules identified in Section 9.17.

Layoff Allowance. Layoff Allowance. 17.1 Regular employees with one or more years of accredited service who suffer loss of immediate employment through layoff due to force surplus, will be paid a layoff allowance based on accredited service and basic wage rate at the time of layoff. Computation of layoff allowance will be on the basis of one week for each full year of accredited service; from one (1) year to ten (10) years; two (2) weeks for eleven (11) years plus, up to a maximum of forty (40) weeks' pay.
17.1-1 Layoff allowance will be paid in a lump sum payment, for the hours equivalent to the employee's regular work week, excluding premiums and differentials, to the extent of the total allowance granted.
17.1-1.1 Layoff payments made will be exclusive of earned vacation payments to which the employee may not be entitled.
17.1-1.2 No layoff allowance shall be due any eligible employee who fails to accept an available position within the bargaining unit, "within a reasonable commutable distance not to exceed fifty (50) miles one way."
17.1-1.3 If an employee who has received a layoff allowance is reengaged with Verizon Supply Chain Services, or any affiliated or subsidiary companies within the Verizon Corporation, and the number of weeks pay upon which the layoff allowance was based, exclusive of any payment in lieu of vacation, then the excess will be considered an advance to the employee, and either the employee will repay the advance at the time of reemployment, or it will be debited against each future paycheck in an amount not to exceed ten percent of the employee's wages for that pay period until the advance is fully accounted for.
17.1-1.4 In the event that an employee is rehired and subsequently laid off, the layoff allowance in the case of the second layoff or any subsequent layoff shall be based upon the length of continuous service since the date of last reemployment, plus any portion of the prior layoff allowance which has been refunded to the Company.
Layoff Allowance. Laid off employees shall receive allowance of one weeks pay for each full year of service with a minimum of 2 weeks pay, to a maximum of six (6) weeks pay, to be paid bi-weekly, so long as the layoff continues, provided that the employee is on indefinite, involuntary layoff where no reasonable offer of employment has been made.
Layoff Allowance.
Section 1. Eligibility
(a) Employees who are laid off by the Company on account of a reduction in force shall be paid a layoff allowance in accordance with the eligibility schedule in paragraph (c) below
(b) Employees terminated for medical reasons who do not qualify for benefits (excluding vested pensions) under the pension plan referred to in Article 19 or who are laid off without recall rights, shall be paid a termination allowance in accordance with the eligibility schedule.

Layoff Allowance. 7.12.1 Subject to the conditions specified, employees participating in XXXX who are laid off by the Board shall receive an allowance based on the following formula: After 10 years’ service: 1 months’ salary After 15 years’ service: 2 months' salary After 20 years’ service: 3 months' salary Payment of this allowance is subject to Article 7 - Layoff and Recall and is based on the following conditions:
(a) the employee has remained on the recall list for one year from date of layoff and;
(b) the employee has not refused reasonable alternate employment for which they are qualified, while on the recall list, offered by the employer; and
(c) the allowance is based on the employee's salary as at the date of layoff
7.12.2 Subject to the conditions specified, employees not participating in XXXX who are laid off by the Board shall receive an allowance based on the following formula: After five (5) years of service: two (2) weeks' salary at the rate of pay immediately prior to retirement; After ten (10) years’ service: three (3) months' salary, plus one (1) month's salary for each additional three (3) years of service beyond ten (10), to a maximum of six
