All future employees of the Board covered by this Agreement shall, as a condition of continued employment, become Members of the Union on commencing employment with the Board. On each pay date on which a Member receives a pay cheque the Board shall deduct from each Member the Union Dues chargeable by the Union or the Bargaining Unit. The amount (a percentage of wages) shall be determined by the Union, or the Bargaining Unit as the case may be, in accordance with its constitution and by-laws and made, in writing, to the Board at least thirty (30) days prior to the expected date of change. The Union dues deducted in article shall be remitted to the Treasurer of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, at the Head Office of the Union, no later than the twenty-fifth day of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. Such remittance shall be accompanied with the following information on each Member:

Union Membership and Union Dues. 6.01 (a) The Employer shall deduct from every member of the bargaining unit, for each pay period for which an employee receives a pay cheque, an amount equal to the regular dues as levied by the Union from time to time. Should the Union change the amount of regularly required dues during the term of this Agreement, it shall notify the Employer in writing by mail of any duly authorized changes, and such changes shall take effect in the month following the month in which they were received by the Employer.
