UNION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. 21.01 The employer agrees to provide the union free of charge, except as otherwise specified in this article, with the use of suitable, serviced office space, in a building fully accessible to mobility-impaired persons (i.e. with accessible washrooms, door openers, ramps and/or elevators), with a telephone line, the telephone charges to be borne by the union, and a Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD). The union shall have the use of the internal University postal service for union business, external mailing costs of the union to be borne by the union, and shall be given a University mailing number. The employer shall allow the union to use the University duplicating services, computing facilities, word processing equipment, and audio-visual equipment on the same basis and at the same rates established by the employer for University users. The employer shall provide the union with suitable meeting rooms as required, free of charge and on the same basis as other voluntary associations within the University which shall include the ability to book available meeting rooms on campuses where the Union does not have a permanent office. The Union will be provided with shared office space on the Xxxxxxx Campus to conduct union business. The shared office space will accommodate a lockable cabinet. The employer shall provide the union with use of a designated bulletin board in each department/division for the display of union notices, job postings and other union related materials. The employer shall also provide the union with a lighted bulletin board in the area designated by the Office of Student Affairs, adjacent to the East Bear Pit of the Xxxx Building. Should one be deemed required, any move from the union’s current office space will be subject to the same terms, conditions, and negotiations as those enjoyed by any other bargaining agent. Further, the employer will make best efforts to ensure that any new office space is equal to or better than the current facilities.
UNION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. X. Xxxxxxxx to Chapter 123, Public Law 1974, New Jersey Employer and Employee Relations Act, public employees included in the negotiating unit have, and shall be protected in the exercise of, the right, freely and without fear of penalty or reprisal, to form, join and assist any employee organization or refrain from any such activity. As a duly selected body exercising governmental powers under cover of law of the State of New Jersey, the Board undertakes and agrees that it shall not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any employee in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Chapter 123, Public Law 1974, New Jersey Employer and Employee Relations Act, or other laws of New Jersey or the Constitution of New Jersey and the United States.
B. The Board retains the right to reduce staff according to law. In the event of a reduction of staff due to economic reasons, the Board shall provide notification to those staff members whose employment is to be terminated. The Board shall simultaneously notify the association President of such action. In reducing staff in any bargaining unit job title, as set forth in the district job description manual, the incumbent employee with the least seniority in such job title shall be the first dismissed. An employee whose employment is terminated as a result of reduction in staff shall receive thirty (30) days advance notice of such action or shall receive pay in lieu thereof and shall be placed on a recall list for a period of one (1) calendar year. Consideration shall be given to a dismissed employee’s request for placement in an open and available position as alternative to dismissal. The Parties agree that the Board reserves unilateral rights to determine and evaluate appropriate qualifications for any such alternative placement. The Board, upon rehiring to the same job title, shall do so in the inverse order of job title seniority of those employees then currently on the recall list with seniority in the re-opened job title. Employees so recalled and reinstated to their former job title shall receive the rate of pay for that job which is in effect at the time of reinstatement. Any notice of re-employment to an employee on the recall list shall be made by certified mail to the last known address of such employee.

7.2 Subject to availability and normal University regulations concerning use of space, the Employer agrees to provide the Union with suitable meeting rooms, upon request.
7.3 The Employer agrees to allow the Union the use of departmental bulletin boards, community digital signage, etc., to post notices of meetings and other such notices as may be of interest to the Employees.
7.4 The Employer agrees to provide the Union with an organizational account.

8.02 Subject to availability, the Employer will allow the Union to use internal and external postal services of the university, printing facilities, computing facilities, and audio- visual equipment and other office equipment consistent with the rates charged to the university’s other certified bargaining units.
8.03 Subject to availability and normal university regulations concerning use of space, the Employer agrees to provide the Union with suitable meeting rooms, upon request.
8.04 The Employer agrees to allow the Union the use of departmental bulletin boards to post notices of meetings and other such notices as may be of interest to the employees.
UNION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. The Union Chairperson shall be informed of all disciplinary action against any members of the bargaining unit.
B. The Union's representative may visit the Board's premises for the purpose of investigating working conditions or conferring with the Board or Administration or the employees provided such visitation or conferring does not interfere with the work performance of the employees.
C. The Board shall provide space for a Union bulletin board in a reasonable accessible place for Union notices.
D. The Union and its representatives may be permitted to use school buildings at reasonable hours for meetings. The transportation coordinator shall be notified in advance of the time and requested place of all such meetings and the Union shall seek approval for the use of the building from the business office.
E. Employees shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for one or more years to serve as an elected officer of the Transport Workers Union of America AFL-CIO. Such leave will coincide with the applicable term or duty of the office held. The Board shall be given 30 days notice of said leave of absence. The Board shall make every effort to accommodate the employee in unusual circumstances. The Board shall continue to pay the employee's wages and benefits and shall be reimbursed for salary and benefits by the Union. During such leave the employee will continue to accrue seniority. Said leave to be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Public Employees Relations Commission.
F. The rights and privileges of the Union and its representatives as set forth in this Agreement shall be granted only to the Union as the representative of the majority of the drivers and to no other organization.
UNION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES.
7.01 The Employer agrees to provide the Union with reasonable office space on the premises. However, the Employer reserves the right, in the event of a work stoppage, to require the Union to vacate such premises on campus within twenty-four hours. In that event, the Employer agrees to provide the Union with reasonable access to the University premises to provide appropriate representation to those working pursuant to any Essential Services Agreement. The Union shall return to its former premises immediately after the work stoppage is over. The privacy of Union information will be closely maintained, and the Union will be able to arrange access to its former premises for the purpose of removing its property by contacting Human Resources.
7.02 The Employer agrees to provide the Union with adequate telephone service and use of the internal postal service of the University. A charge will be levied by the Employer for telephone and external postal services that are not otherwise paid for by the Union.
7.03 The Employer will allow the Union to use University Printing Services and such other service facilities and equipment as may be required on the same basis as for the University's other certified bargaining units.
7.04 The Employer agrees to allow the Union to hold meetings and educational functions and to conduct Union business at the University. The Employer will make space available for such functions subject to normal scheduling restrictions.
7.05 The Employer agrees to allow the Union to use existing Union bulletin boards to post notices of meetings and other such notices as may be of interest to the employees.
