Xxxx Leave Donation. Any employee whose sick leave accumulation is forty-one (41) days or more may relinquish no more than one (1) sick day to a single employee annually whose sick leave has been exhausted. Any employee may donate a maximum of two (2) days per year. This donation may only occur if the employee with depleted sick leave is seriously ill or seriously injured and only after the employee has been subject to a wage deduction for a minimum of seven (7) workdays. Up to twenty (20) days may be donated for maternity leave or adoption and may be used once during their Rockford Public School’s career. Should employees desire to donate, a written letter shall be submitted to the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee by the union president requesting a review of all aspects of the request. A committee consisting of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and the union president shall communicate to review the merits of the request.

Xxxx Leave Donation. An employee may make a donation of accrued sick leave for another employee provided the employee receiving the donation is absent from work for an extended period of time because of an injury or illness. A fifty-six (56) hour employee may donate up to twenty-four (24) hours, a forty-eight (48) hour employee may donate up to twenty (20) hours, a forty-five (45) hour employee may donate up to eighteen (18) hours, a forty (40) hour employee may donate up to sixteen (16) hours, all per calendar year. An employee may receive for a fifty-six (56) hour employee up to two hundred and forty (240) hours, one hundred ninety-two (192) for a forty- eight (48) hour employee, one hundred and eighty (180) for a forty-five (45) hour employee, for a forty (40) hour employee, up to one hundred and sixty (160) hours, in a calendar year. The employee receiving the donation must have first depleted his/her sick and vacation leave. A donation may only be made by an employee with sick leave balance double the amount to be donated.

Xxxx Leave Donation. 1. Upon request, any employee who is suffering from a catastrophic illness or injury as defined in Camden County Policy Number 52.1 effective 12/13/01 requiring prolonged absence from work shall be eligible to receive a maximum of 90 days of donated sick leave from such sick days in the leave bank accumulated by contributions from leave donors provided the employee has completed at least one year of service and has exhausted all accrued sick, vacation and personal leave. A catastrophic illness or injury shall be understood as a condition which has required the employee to be hospitalized and which requires a period of treatment or recuperation, as a result of which the employee is expected to be unable to work for at least 90 days, based on medical prognosis. Request for donated sick leave must be made prior to exhaustion of medical insurance. Upon the employee’s return to work, any donated leave that remains unused shall remain in the accumulated sick day’s bank. Individual employees may donate up to 15 sick days each but must retain a balance of at least 30 sick days. No employee shall be subject to coercion of any kind in connection with the donation of sick leave. Nor may any employee be paid any remuneration for making a donation.
Xxxx Leave Donation. Should a teacher exhaust his/her accumulated leave allotment of sick and personal days for extended or reoccurring conditions, the teacher may utilize voluntary contribution of sick leave days from other teachers to a maximum of fifty (50) days per academic year. The Association shall be responsible for the solicitation of such donated sick leave days from the teachers and the proper completion of authorized sick leave deduction forms.
Xxxx Leave Donation. Any employee shall have the option to donate up to thirty (30) days per school year to a sick leave bank. An employee who experiences a major incident in his/her life or the life of immediate family and exhaust accrued sick leave shall have the option to obtain thirty (30) days per school year from the sick leave bank. The Superintendent will approve the transfer of the sick leave days from the sick leave bank to the employee in five (5) day increments. When a teacher donates days, the teacher may designate the teacher who receives the donation.
