Certificates and Licenses. Prior to occupancy, Lessee shall provide to Lessor the certificate(s) of insurance required by Article 16 and a copy of all licenses and authorizations that may be required for the lawful operation of Lessee’s business upon the Premises, including any City business licenses as may be required.
Certificates and Licenses. 1. Certificates - Additional Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, and Distribution System Operator Certificates - 5%
a. Treatment Plant Operator Certification must be at least one grade above the minimum required for the designated Classification requirement. Maximum incentive is 10%, which may be reached by having one certificate in water treatment and one in wastewater treatment.
b. Employees receiving Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Certificate pay will use the certification to meet the needs of the City as may be required from time to time.
c. Utility Maintenance Workers who obtain a Water Distribution Certificate one grade above the classification requirement will receive 5% incentive pay. Maximum incentive will be 5%.
d. Employees who are using a Water Distribution certification that is not required by their Job Classification, but required for the City to operate the City’s water distribution system, will receive 5% incentive pay, if the employee is utilizing said certificate for water distribution on-call. Maximum incentive will be 5%.
2. City Required Certificate or License for Specialized Work - 1.25% Incentive pay only applies when the City requires the certificate and the certificate is utilized to meet specific requirements (i.e. Pesticide, Pool Operator). Maximum incentive is 2.5%. If not required to utilize the certificate, the incentive will not apply.
3. The City agrees to pay for required certification and/or licensing renewal fees for employees. At the discretion of he Department Head the City also agrees to pay for renewals of certifications and/or licensing when such certification and/or licensing is deemed relevant and valuable to the professional execution of assigned duties of employees.
Certificates and Licenses a. The City shall reimburse the employee for the cost of tuition and materials related to obtaining certificates and licenses which are requirements for continuing employment.
b. The City shall not pay any such cost where the holding of a license or certificate is a condition precedent to becoming employed or to promoting to a position requiring additional licensing or certification. However, in any instance where an employee is required by management to perform duties in a position requiring additional licensing or certification (as a result of reclassification and otherwise), the City shall reimburse the employee for the costs of tuition and materials related to obtaining said license or certificate.
c. The City may, at its sole discretion and subject to the availability of funds, pay for or reimburse an employee for the cost of tuition and materials related to obtaining and/or renewing water and wastewater certifications, or other job-related certifications, not required of the employee’s immediate position but that would be beneficial to the City.
d. Payment Procedures
Certificates and Licenses. Lessee shall ensure that there are obtained and maintained in full force and effect in good standing at all times all necessary certificates, authorizations and qualifications required to perform the Lessee’s (and any Permitted Sublease’s) obligations under the Operative Documents and for the use and operation of the Equipment.

If FCAO requires employees to have professional licenses or certificates for their jobs, the renewal of those professional licenses or certifications will be paid for by the FCAO. Seminars, training, and courses may also be paid for by the FCAO. These seminars, training and courses must be pre-approved by the FCAO. If approved, the employee may attend on paid, work time. Membership in professional organizations may be paid for by the FCAO. These fees must be pre-approved by the FCAO. Work customarily performed by employees in the bargaining unit shall not be performed or transferred to other personnel, except under the following conditions:

(a) without a valid certificate of airworthiness issued by the Aviation Authority; or
(b) without any other valid Authorization required under any applicable laws or regulations of the State of Registration (including the Aviation Authority) or any jurisdiction to, over or within which the Aircraft may be flown, the effect of which would be to invalidate the Insurances or result in the seizure, confiscation or detention of the Aircraft.
