Overtime and Overtime Compensation. (a) Employees requested to work in excess of the normal daily full shift hours, as outlined in Article 23.02, or who are requested to work on their scheduled off-duty days. (b) Employees shall be paid the rate of time-and-one-half (1½ x) of their basic hourly rate of pay for the first four (4) hours in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, and double-time (2x) thereafter. (c) Employees required to work on a scheduled day off shall receive the overtime rate, but shall not have the day off rescheduled. (d) If an employee works overtime on a statutory holiday they will be paid time and one half the statutory rate of pay (2.25 times the rate of straight-time pay) for the first four (4) hours in excess of eight (8) hours, and at the rate of double-time (2x) the statutory rate of pay (3 times the rate of straight-time pay) thereafter. (e) Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee in the next pay period in which the overtime was earned. (f) An employee who works four (4) hours of overtime immediately before or following their scheduled hours of work shall be provided with a meal. One-half (½) hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that they may take a meal break either at or adjacent to their place of work.

Overtime and Overtime Compensation. A. Except as provided in this Article, overtime hours and overtime compensation shall be defined and implemented as prescribed by the Fair Labor Standards Act and the United States Department of Labor regulations existing from time to time there under insofar as applicable. The County will treat unit employees regularly assigned to a forty (40) hour week under Section 7(a) of the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA") and all other unit employees under Section 7(k) of the FLSA.

Except as provided in this Article, overtime hours and overtime compensation shall be defined and implemented as prescribed by the Fair Labor Standards Act and the United States Department of Labor regulations existing from time to time there under insofar as applicable. B. For purposes of FLSA overtime, only actual hours worked will be compensable. Holidays, bereavement leave, annual or authorized leave, personal days, sick leave, jury duty, and other non-assigned or non-working hours shall not constitute hours worked for FLSA overtime purposes. Employees who take scheduled bereavement leave during a pay period when overtime hours are worked by that employee shall be paid overtime compensation for actual hours worked in accordance with this Article. Mandatory holdover time shall be compensated at time and a half. C. All hours worked by employees, and all straight time compensation and overtime compensation (except as otherwise indicated by certain provisions of this Article) will be recorded, calculated and paid on the basis of actual hours worked in a pay period, and in workweeks or work periods, as the case may be. However, if an employee has pre-scheduled vacation time (vacation leave) during a pay period in which he is required to work a mandatory shift in excess of twelve (12) hours, then the employee shall be entitled to additional half time for the mandatory hours worked. This exception applies only for the employee who is required to work the additional mandatory hours. All record keeping shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the above referenced regulations. D. Utilization of overtime, assignment of overtime and selection of personnel to work overtime shall be for both scheduled and non scheduled work, and shall be done at the discretion of management in accordance with department policy and/or SOP’s. 1. (b) Employees shall be paid the rate of 1.5x of their basic hourly rate of pay for the first four (4) hours in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, and double-time thereafter. (c) Employees required to work on a scheduled day off shall receive the overtime rate, but shall not have the day off rescheduled, subject to (a) above. (d) If an employee works overtime on a statutory holiday, they will be paid time-and-one-half the statutory rate of pay (2.25 times the rate of straight-time pay) for the first 4 hours in excess of 8 hours, and at the rate of 2x the statutory rate of pay (3 times the rate of straight-time pay) thereafter.
Overtime and Overtime Compensation. 1. Effective January 1, 2000, all overtime due to hours actually worked beyond the normal work schedule, when authorized by the Fire Chief or by designated authority, shall be compensated at the rate of time and one half (1 ½) the employees hourly rate for the overtime hours.   • Overtime Compensation 1. Except as provided in this section, Grantee will be responsible for any obligations of premium overtime pay due employees. Premium overtime pay is defined as any compensation paid to an individual in addition to the employee’s normal rate of pay for hours worked in excess of normal working hours. 2. Funds provided under this Contract may be used to pay the premium portion of overtime only under the following conditions: i. With the prior written approval of System Agency; ii. Temporarily, in the case of an emergency or an occasional operational bottleneck; iii. When employees are performing indirect functions, such as administration, maintenance, or accounting; iv.   • Overtime Pay ‌ Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee on the next paycheque after the expiration of the pay period in which the overtime was earned except as provided in Article 16.6 (Compensating Time Off) below.

  • Overtime/Compensatory Time A. Employees working assigned, pre-approved time in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be given either overtime pay or compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay. The name of the supervisor authorized to approve overtime assignments shall be posted in each building. The employee may elect to take either overtime pay or compensatory time off. In the event no volunteers are available or the volunteers available are unqualified in the opinion of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, overtime may be assigned. Overtime assignments will be made on a rotational basis at each work site to employees who normally do the work assigned. Reasonable advance notice will be given to employees assigned overtime. An employee shall not be called in for snow removal duty sooner than 8 hours following the conclusion of his/her regular shift or any other work performed for the District. B. Only forty-five (45) hours of compensatory time can be earned in a contract year. Use of compensatory time must be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Compensatory time earned must be used during the contract year in which it is earned or cashed in for pay at the rate in effect for the employee at the time the employee receives such payment. Employees who have accumulated more than forty (40) hours of compensatory time at the time of execution of this Agreement shall retain all such accumulated time, provided, however, that such employees shall not be allowed to use more than forty (40) hours in any contract year. All compensatory time must be submitted on a timesheet. C. All overtime worked must be submitted on a timesheet to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. Requests for use of compensatory time off shall be submitted in writing to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. X. Xx employee called in to work on his/her day off will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. E. The decision to assign overtime will not be based upon an employee’s preference for either compensatory time or overtime pay. F. In the event an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work shall be the rate of the classification which caused the employee to work such overtime hours.

  • Extra Compensation The Board shall pay no fees, other than described above, to the PA/E unless authorized by the Board as follows: A. If the scope of the Project or site is changed, the Board and the PA/E shall negotiate a reasonable fee based upon the probable estimated construction cost in changing the scope of the work and the approximate percentage of the estimated construction cost which was used to negotiate this Agreement if, and, as such may be applicable. B. If the DOE or Board requires the PA/E to make major or costly changes to the Schematic, Preliminary or Construction Document Phase submittals, which changes are not caused by architectural or engineering error or oversight, the PA/E shall be paid to redesign for additional expenses in an amount agreed to by the parties. Under no circumstances will the principals of the PA/E and the principals of his consultants be paid a fee in excess of $125 per hour.

  • Annual Compensation The Executive's "Annual Compensation" for purposes of this Agreement shall be deemed to mean the highest level of base salary paid to the Executive by the Employers or any subsidiary thereof during any of the three calendar years ending during the calendar year in which the Date of Termination occurs.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The salaries of employees covered by this Agreement are set forth in the appendixes which are attached hereto and incorporated in this Agreement. Each employee shall have the yearly option of receiving his/her salary in one of the following ways: 1. Each employee hired after July 1, 1987, shall receive his/her total salary divided into twenty-four (24) equal payments on the fifth (5th) and twentieth (20th) of each month. If the 20th of the month falls on a holiday or weekend, the payday will be on the first business day immediately following. 2. Employees employed in the District prior to July 1, 1987, may have their total salary divided as stated above or they may choose to have their pay divided into twenty-one (21) equal installments, beginning with the August 20th payroll each contract year. B. Total salary for less than full-time employees shall be paid as indicated in 1 or 2 above, beginning at the date of hire, but the salary shall be adjusted based on the yearly number of work days for employees as set by the school calendar, and then pro-rated on the portion of the year and/or day worked by the individual employee. C. It is understood and agreed that each employee shall elect payment for the subsequent year in accordance with the previous year's selection unless the Business Office is notified in writing of such employee's change in selection on or before August 15. D. Pay deductions will be made only for the following authorized items: 1. Mandatory/voluntary government deductions. 2. IRS Section 125 deductions. 3. Insurance carriers designated by this Agreement or approved by the Employer. 4. Deductions as authorized in other articles of this Agreement. E. The Employer may make direct payroll check deposits to banks, savings and loan associations, and other financial and with which the Employer has a written agreement dealing with payroll deposits. Such direct payroll deposits would be made only upon the written request/approval of the employee. F. The Employer shall reimburse employees for actual costs of college tuition and fees, upon completion of coursework. This reimbursement shall be limited to a total of 6 credit hours or 18 SBCEU’s or 180 SCECH’s or a combination thereof in a five-year period. (3 SBCEU’s = 1 credit hour or 30 SCECH’s = 1 credit hour) Each year of the five year period will be based on the school fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). The rate of reimbursement shall be limited to the actual amount of tuition and fees paid, but shall not exceed the amount charged by Grand Valley State University per graduate credit hour. The Employee will be required to provide proof of payment and proof of successful completion of the course. G. Employees asked to substitute during their planning period will be paid at a rate of $25.00 per planning period. The employee will receive a coupon for an early dismissal or late arrival, or other site based incentives along with the compensation. This coupon may be used at any time so long as it does not interfere with the employee’s normal duties, i.e. staff meetings, IEPC. More than one coupon may be used at the same time with the approval of the Administration. A coupon is attached to this agreement, (see Appendix F). Employees asked to teach additional students for a period shall be eligible for the substitute rate above.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Overtime Computation Computation of overtime will be rounded upward to the nearest one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour.

  • Employee Compensation The wages, salaries and other compensation paid to employees who will be employed for the benefit of the Project, and to others who perform special services for the benefit of the Project, to the extent not otherwise paid through a Cash Management System, shall be paid by Owner from a Project Account pursuant to this Section 9.2. (a) All wages, salaries and other compensation paid to employees of the Project, including, but not be limited to, unemployment insurance, social security, worker's compensation, employee benefit packages and other charges imposed by a governmental authority or provided for in a union agreement, shall (a) as to employees of Manager or any Subcontractor, be reimbursed by Owner to Manager (or directly to the applicable Subcontractor, if requested by Manager) without profit or mark-up, and (b) as to employees of Owner, be paid directly by Owner. Xxnager shall coordinate all disbursements and deposits for all compensation and other amounts payable with respect to persons employed in connection with the operation of the Project from an appropriate Project Account. Manager shall maintain complete payroll records for all employees. (b) In addition to the employment of employees set forth on Schedule 3, Manager may, in its discretion, from time to time employ personnel of its general operations to perform direct special services for the benefit of the Project; provided, however, that Manager shall obtain the prior approval of Owner for the employment of such special personnel, except in emergency situations or when timing requirements do not allow for such prior approval. Owner shall reimburse Manager for such direct services rendered by special personnel in an amount commensurate with normal and customary charges for such services by similarly qualified persons. Persons whose compensation may not be charged to Owner for services rendered to the Project includes the general asset management personnel of Manager who are not on-site of the Project.
