Training and Staff Development. 5.2.1 Grantee must provide staff and volunteers the in-service training needed to perform under the terms and conditions of this Contract. All training must be documented, and the documentation must be maintained on file and available for review by HHSC upon request.
5.2.2 Grantee must secure appropriate specialized training and certification for all staff delegated duties that require the specialized training or certification. All training and certifications must be documented, and the documentation must be maintained on file and available for review by HHSC upon request.
5.2.3 Grantee must ensure that staff meets the necessary qualifications to conduct specific AAA functions and to provide ongoing training, which will develop and enhance staff capacity.
5.2.4 Grantee must maintain adequate personnel documentation in accordance with standard human resources best practices. All employee and volunteer training and certifications must be documented, and the documentation must be maintained on file and available for review by HHSC upon request.
Training and Staff Development. An employee may be granted paid leave for the purposes of attending conferences, seminars, or training sessions related to improvement of the performance of duties upon the advance approval of the Superintendent, Program Director, or designee.
Training and Staff Development. Where the scheduling of a training program conflicts with an employee’s earned day off, such a day off will be rescheduled or be paid as per a regular day’s pay, subject to the employee’s personal election.

If requested by either the Association or the Board, the Association and the Board shall jointly plan and sponsor a workshop or in-service dealing with special education issues. In addition, given the complexity and constantly shifting nature of the issues surrounding the education of children with special needs, the administration will assure that on no less than two (2) occasions per year, opportunities will be embedded into professional development time to facilitate collaborative time for special education staff.

Unless specifically exempt from doing so, all staff are to complete their NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate in the following time periods: • Level 2 NZ Certificate – within 12 months of employment • Level 3 NZ Certificate – within 3 years of employment • Level 4 NZ certificate – within 6 years of employment Support to attain these qualifications shall include paying the enrolment fees of training courses, providing two (2) days of paid study leave per year and providing access to supervisors and assessors. The employee will pay a contribution of $35 towards photocopying per qualification listed above. The employer will pay staff hours to attend off-site training courses as directed by the facility manager and authorised by the owner, to a maximum of 7 hours per day.
Training and Staff Development. Section 1 Funding and Purpose
Training and Staff Development. DCF, Brevard Family Partnership, Brevard Public Schools agree to the provision of specific training and staff development related to the implementation of this Agreement to share expertise and better serve the youth:
a. DCF and BFP shall incorporate an education component into all training programs for relevant staff of their agency and contractors regarding the youth. DCF and BFP shall utilize, and refer relevant staff and contractors to, trainings on educational issues that are currently provided by Brevard Public Schools. DCF and BFP shall offer opportunities for child welfare education, APD, DJJ, and workforce personnel to participate in such training, which shall include:
1) Training for parents and families in cases in which reunification is the goal, or for pre-adoptive parents when adoption is the goal, so that such parents and care givers learn how to access the services needed to produce positive educational outcomes for the youth and the importance of their involvement in the education and life of the child/youth;
2) Training for dependency caseworkers, xxxxxx parents (substitute care givers or providers) and waiver support coordinators to include information on the rights of the youth to an education, the role of an education in the development and adjustment of a youth, the proper and varied ways to access education and related services for the youth, and the importance and strategies for parental involvement in education for the success of the child/youth;
3) Training of dependency caseworkers regarding the services and information available through DOE or Brevard Public Schools, and other education related organizations such as the Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resource Services (FDLRS) including, but not limited to, the current Sunshine State Standards, the Surrogate Parent Training program and Manual, and other resources accessible through DOE or Brevard Public Schools to facilitate educational access for a youth or his or her parents or family.
b. Brevard Public Schools shall encourage the practice of allowing Guardians Ad Litem and xxxxxx parents to attend surrogate parent training offered by school district Exceptional Student Education (ESE) staff or other persons designated by the school district. This includes the promotion of the use of the FDLRS in the recruitment and training of surrogate parents. (24 C.F.R., section 300.15)

Training and Staff Development. Each Party agrees to promote the provision of training and staff development related to the implementation of this Agreement.
a. DCF/CBKN shall offer opportunities for education personnel and surrogate parents to participate in training, which may include:
1) Training for parents in cases in which reunification is the goal, or for pre- adoptive parents when adoption is the goal, so that such parents learn how to access the services and the importance of their involvement in the education of the children.
2) Training for caseworkers and xxxxxx parents to include information on the right of the child to an education, the role of education in the development and adjustment of a child, the proper ways to access education and related services for the child, and the importance and strategies for parental involvement in education for the success of the child.
3) Training of caseworkers regarding the services and information available through the local school district, including, but not limited to, the current Sunshine State Standards, the Surrogate Parent Training Materials, and other resources to facilitate educational access for a child.
b. DCF/CBKN will promote practices that engage caseworkers and xxxxxx parents in the education of children such as attendance at parent-teacher conferences, school open houses, and other events significant to the education of the child and creating the message to the child that his or her education is important to the adults in his or her life.
c. The Board shall:
1) Allow Guardians Ad Litem and xxxxxx parents to attend surrogate parent training offered by school district Exceptional Student Education (ESE) staff or other persons designated by the school district.
2) Encourage participation in DCF’s conferences.
Training and Staff Development. 22 In the mutual interests of the District and the Association, the District shall cause funds to be available, 23 which may be used by employees for professional development under conditions established in this 24 Article. 25
Training and Staff Development. 16.1 The employee agrees to attend compulsory staff meetings/in-service education as directed by the Nurse Manager. In return the employer will pay the employee for attending those staff meetings/in-service education. Non-attendance at compulsory staff meetings/in-service education will not be tolerated except for genuine reasons.
16.2 The employee understands that the employer may provide for voluntary staff meetings/in- service education. Attendance at these meetings/in-service educations shall be unpaid.
16.3 Those staff that have not completed the training at the time of their appointment must complete appropriate training within six months of appointment. The training must address:
