Academic programme. (a) Global-MINDS is a comprehensive full-time Master of Science programme with 120 ECTS. The Programme begins 1 October, 2017 and has the duration of four semesters spread over 24 months. (b) Global-MINDS focuses on insights from social and cultural psychology as applied to contemporary societal issues of diversity, tolerance and integration. It provides students the unique opportunity to acquire sound theoretical skills in this area and to be able to consolidate and apply them by gaining first-hand intercultural experience in two or more of the partner countries. Global-MINDS students will learn about basic and applied issues in Social and Cultural Psychology and will be able to gain crucial work experience in this area through internships in the public and/or private sectors. They will also receive rigorous training in research methods and statistical analyses and complete their Master degree with an empirical thesis. This will provide students with a broad range of career opportunities in national and international organizations as well as academia. Graduates will be awarded a joint degree by Global-MINDS Partner Universities at which they complete at least 30 ECTS. (c) Global-MINDS consists of: • A compulsory mobility path consisting of two mobilities defined as studying full semesters at two different Consortium Universities and obtaining at least 30 ECTS from each of these Universities. The compulsory mobility paths are specified in the GLOBAL MINDS Handbook and regulations. • One or two optional mobilities to any of the Partner Universities; • Compulsory participation in the Global-MINDS Summer School, as specified in the Global-MINDS Handbook; • An internship of 300 hours, with a typical duration of 3 months full-time (18 ECTS). By a mobility, it is meant that the student has moved to one of the Consortium universities for a full semester and obtained at least 30 ECTS at this university. Shorter sojourns or sojourns for which the student has obtained less than 30 ECTS shall not be considered as a mobility. (d) The Student recognizes that the student cohort will be distributed equally between the five Partner Universities and the final allocation to compulsory and optional mobilities will be conditional upon the capacity of a specific university, on the availability of internships and on the chosen thesis advisor(s). Academic programme a. The International Master in Innovative Medicine is a two-year international master programme focusing on the education of translational biomedical researchers. The IMIM mission is to educate the future generation of leading translational scientists and professionals who will have the skills and competences to work effectively in different multi-/interdisciplinary and internationally competitive academic and private sector environments. b. IMIM’s integrated curriculum is primarily based on and draws from four already accredited English-taught and International Master programmes taught at each of the European Partner Institutions. Each of these four existing degree programmes is small-scale and selective in nature. The four programmes are the two- year Master programme in Medical and Pharmaceutical Drug Innovation at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the one-year Master programme in Translational Medical Research at Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx-Universität Heidelberg, and the two-year Master programmes in Molecular Medicine and Medical Research at Uppsala Universitet. c. Academic programme. The ADVANCES Programme is designed to impart advanced academic, practice and research skills to students with an educational and professional background in social work or related fields. The ADVANCES Consortium will offer students a high level qualification to assist entry to PhD programmes all over the world or to pursue advanced positions in the field of social work practice, consultancy, management, planning and leadership. The ADVANCES Programme begins on Monday 25 September 2017 and has a duration of four semesters spread over 22 months, finishing in July 2018. The Programme consists of: • Semester 1 of classes taught in English at the University of Lincoln • Semester 2 of classes taught in English at Aalborg University • End of Year 1: English-language Summer School at Université Paris Nanterre • Semester 3 of classes taught in English at the University of Lisbon • Semester 4 of fieldwork and writing of the English-language research project (dissertation) with students distributed equally among all consortium partners • End of Year 2: English-language student conference at University of Warsaw The Student must successfully attend and complete all modules and assessments in order to graduate from the ADVANCES Programme. Students will be given the opportunity to explore themes and topics that most interest them within the set module structure that applies to all participants in the Programme. The Student recognises that the ADVANCES student cohort will be divided equally between the five Consortium Partners for the purposes of conducting fieldwork and writing research projects (dissertations) in Semester 4. Within this constraint, the Student will be encouraged to express a choice of host university and select their own research topic subject to approval from the ADVANCES Programme Committee and relevant committees in individual universities that the topic is feasible, ethical and meets the ADVANCES objectives and learning outcomes. Academic programme. (1) Exchange students have no right to participate in a specific course as participation is subject to the student being satisfactorily qualified for the chosen area of study and the availability of resources and capacities in the period for which admission is sought. However, the Host Institution will endeavour to ensure that exchange students are admitted to the courses of their choice. (2) Accreditation for the work carried out by a student during the period of the exchange will be at the discretion of the student's Home Institution. (3) The Host Institution will provide the Home Institution with a final transcript from the Office of the Registrar, stating the student's academic performance and his/her workload during his/her studies at the Host Institution.

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members. (b) Information collected as part of this program shall be the sole property of the faculty member. This information or any judgments arising from this program shall not be used to determine non-renewal or termination of a faculty member's contract, suspension or dismissal of a faculty member, denial of advancement on the salary scale, nor affect any other administrative decisions pertaining to the promotion or employment status of the faculty member. (c) A joint advisory committee consisting of three regular faculty members who shall be elected by and are P.D. Committee Chairpersons and three administrators shall make recommendations for the operation, financing and management of the Professional Development Program.

  • Safety Program The Contractor shall design a specific safety program for the Work for the site(s). The Contractor shall establish and require all Subcontractors to establish reasonable safety programs. The Contractor shall also submit its standard monthly safety reports to the Owner and Design Professional. No imposition of responsibility on the Contractor for safety under this Contract shall relieve any subcontractor of its responsibility for safety of persons or property on or near the Project Site. The Contractor shall include in his plant he names of the person in charge of Safety.

  • Clinical Trials The studies, tests and preclinical and clinical trials conducted by or on behalf of, or sponsored by, the Company, or in which the Company has participated, that are described in the Registration Statement, the Time of Sale Disclosure Package or the Prospectus, or the results of which are referred to in the Registration Statement, the Time of Sale Disclosure Package or the Prospectus, were and, if still pending, are being conducted in all material respects in accordance with protocols, procedures and controls pursuant to, where applicable, accepted professional and scientific standards for products or product candidates comparable to those being developed by the Company and all applicable statutes, rules and regulations of the FDA, the EMEA, Health Canada and other comparable drug and medical device (including diagnostic product) regulatory agencies outside of the United States to which they are subject; the descriptions of the results of such studies, tests and trials contained in the Registration Statement, the Time of Sale Disclosure Package or the Prospectus do not contain any misstatement of a material fact or omit a material fact necessary to make such statements not misleading; the Company has no knowledge of any studies, tests or trials not described in the Disclosure Package and the Prospectus the results of which reasonably call into question in any material respect the results of the studies, tests and trials described in the Registration Statement, the Time of Sale Disclosure Package or Prospectus; and the Company has not received any notices or other correspondence from the FDA, EMEA, Health Canada or any other foreign, state or local governmental body exercising comparable authority or any Institutional Review Board or comparable authority requiring or threatening the termination, suspension or material modification of any studies, tests or preclinical or clinical trials conducted by or on behalf of, or sponsored by, the Company or in which the Company has participated, and, to the Company’s knowledge, there are no reasonable grounds for the same. Except as disclosed in the Registration Statement, the Time of Sale Disclosure Package and the Prospectus, there has not been any violation of law or regulation by the Company in its respective product development efforts, submissions or reports to any regulatory authority that could reasonably be expected to require investigation, corrective action or enforcement action.

  • Study An application for leave of absence for professional study must be supported by a written statement indicating what study or research is to be undertaken, or, if applicable, what subjects are to be studied and at what institutions.
