Banked Leave. 5.21.1 When a full-time unit member works beyond his/her regular contract, he/she can choose either to bank the extra FTE or to be paid at the current overload salary rate. Depending on the number of hours banked, the time off could be one class or an entire academic year. The ratio of banked time to leave time is 6:5. For example eighteen (18) lecture hours must be banked to take leave from a regular semester load of fifteen (15) lecture hours.
Banked Leave. Each employee entitled to Xxxxx Days will also be provided with forty-eight (48) hours of paid leave on the first day of each annual shift change over each year. For employees who are reassigned to the 12 hour schedule after the annual shift change, a prorated portion of the 48 hours will be provided (employees who move off the 12-hour schedule will have any remaining balance prorated based on the date of the schedule change). Banked Leave. Assigned Leave or Awarded Leave that is not wanted by a pilot may be deposited in a leave bank for reallocation. Should the unwanted leave block be taken up by another pilot, the pilot who was originally awarded / assigned that leave has no further leave obligation and shall be re-credited those annual leave days. Such obligations may exist because of blood or family ties or because of particular cultural requirements such as attendance at all or part of a Tangihanga (or its equivalent). The length of time off shall be at the discretion of the employer.

  • Bereavement Leave (a) Upon the death of an employee's spouse, spouse to include same sex partner, child or stepchild, an employee shall be granted leave up to a maximum of five (5) continuous calendar days without loss of pay. One of the days of leave shall include the day of the funeral or equivalent service. Additional days off with or without pay may be granted by the Employer. Part-time employees will be credited with seniority and service for all such leave. In the event of a delayed interment or ceremony for reason of religion or other protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code, an Employee may save one of the days identified above without loss of pay to attend the interment or ceremony.

  • Bereavement Leave of Absence An employee who has a bereavement in their immediate family will be granted up to and including five (5) days absence with pay. Immediate family means spouse, (as defined in Section 2(b) of Appendix 2), parents, and child. For this provision “step” relationships are considered as immediate family. An employee who has a bereavement in their family will be granted up to and including three (3) days absence with pay. Family means brother, sister, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, son-in-law and daughter-in-law. For this provision “step” relationships are considered as family. In the event of the death of an employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law or grand parents- in-law the employee will be given one (1) days' leave with pay to attend the funeral. An additional day's traveling time, in each direction, will be granted in order for the employee to attend the funeral if such is to be held in excess of 600 kilometers from the employees’ home.
