Calendar/Work Year. 14.1 The calendar for the 2013-2014 school year is attached as Appendix “D”.
Calendar/Work Year. A. It is recognized that the Board has the right to set the annual school calendar. Prior to final adoption by the Board, copies of the proposed calendar(s) will be provided to the Association for review and recommendations.
Calendar/Work Year. A. Before the end of January of each school year, the Association and the administration shall exchange proposed calendars for mutual consideration. The employee contracted days for the school year covered by this Agreement are set forth in the appendices. There shall be no deviation from or change in the workdays except by mutual agreement of the parties. In the event that mutual agreement cannot be achieved as in the preceding sentence, and the state apportionment funds are threatened, the Board may act unilaterally.
Calendar/Work Year. The official calendar will be established by the District annually and will be available electronically, with a copy emailed to the Association President and every Head Custodian.
Calendar/Work Year. The school year shall consist of 177 pupil attendance days, one (1) parent conference day, one (1) professional work day, four (4) institute days, and five (5) emergency days. The emergency days shall be declared by the Superintendent and the Board as special holidays, to the extent that emergencies do not require their use as school days. The professional work day shall be used by staff solely for classroom preparation time. The Superintendent will meet with representatives of the feeder districts each year to coordinate the annual calendars of District #88 and the elementary school districts within District #88. In conjunction with the meeting with the elementary school districts, the Superintendent will meet with the Union’s appointed representatives to review calendar alternatives for the subsequent school years. The Board and the Union agree that although it is clearly the responsibility of the Board to establish the annual calendar for the District, the viewpoint of the Union regarding various critical aspects of the calendar (such as the first and last day of the faculty work year) shall be accorded thoughtful and conscientious consideration in a sincere effort to achieve a calendar mutually acceptable to the Board and the Union. The Administration shall supply each Teacher with a copy of the school calendar for the upcoming school year after its adoption by the Board.
Calendar/Work Year. A. The District shall use the State Salary Allocation Model (XXX) and the rules governing placement on the XXX in determining the salary placement of employees.
Calendar/Work Year. A. The employee contracted work year shall be 180 student days, one (1)mandatory district directed day plus any Professional Learning Days (PLD) provided by the legislature. The 1 district directed day will be paid at per diem rate and must be performed the workday prior to the first student day.

Calendar/Work Year. 12.1.2.1 Unit members whose primary responsibility is not teaching shall work on a calendar year basis beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the following year, or on such other twelve month basis that may be dictated by external funding.

Before the end of April of each school year, a committee will be formed consisting of representatives from EVSD, EVEA, PSE, and parents to create calendar options that shall be taken back to their respective groups for input. From this input a calendar will be created to be submitted to the Superintendent/board for approval.
