Duties and Responsibilities of the University. 1. The University will be responsible for internships that are conducted during a regular academic semester(s) or scheduled summer term(s). The University and the Organization agree to schedule the internship hours to mutually benefit all parties involved and to conform to the credit hour assignment of a minimum of 40 contact hours. 2. The University shall certify eligibility for students registering internships for academic credit. Approved students will have the appropriate educational background and skills consistent with the advertised internship and departmental requirements for participation. 3. The University determines the amount of academic credit to be earned through the internship and establishes all academic requirements that the student must meet to earn the credit. The University establishes a grading system and criteria to earn the grade upon completion of the internship. 4. The University will assign a faculty member to monitor and evaluate the student’s performance during the internship. The University will assume all costs associated with faculty supervision of the intern. 5. The University, at the beginning of the internship term, will provide the Organization with all evaluation materials and the expected timeline for submission. 6. The University agrees to advise students of any known policies, procedures, and requirements of the internship as specified by the Organization. 7. The University, at the beginning of the internship term, will inform the Organization of course requirements such as the intern’s attendance at meetings/seminars or activities that may take the intern away from the assignment. 8. The University may request termination of the internship placement for any student not complying with University guidelines and procedures for the internship program, as long as the Organization has been notified in advance. 9. The Organization understands that as an Agency of the Commonwealth, the University is prohibited from purchasing insurance. As a public university and state instrumentality, there is no statutory authority to purchase insurance and it does not possess insurance documentation. Instead, it participates in the Commonwealth’s Tort Claims Self-Insurance Program administered by the Bureau of Risk and Insurance Management of the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. Duties and Responsibilities of the UniversityThe University will be responsible for the selection of Enrolled Students to be placed at the Organization and will assign only those students who have satisfactorily completed the prerequisite portion of the program curriculum. The University’s Director of Community Practice and Outreach, or similar person, shall with the assistance of the Organization, plan the program for the Practical Experience. The University will assign a faculty member to monitor and evaluate the Enrolled Student’s performance during the internship and will coordinate the Enrolled Student assignment with the Organization Facilitator. The University, at the beginning of the Practical Experience term, shall provide to the Organization the description of the program, curriculum, and objectives to be achieved at the Organization, which shall include instruction and learning experiences essential for the course of study or occupational area. The University shall instruct each of its Enrolled Students to comply with all directives of the Organization’s professional personnel, unless required otherwise by law. The University shall direct its Enrolled Students to function in accordance with the highest professional standards and scope of practice. The University agrees to advise Enrolled Students of any known policies, procedures, and requirements of the internship as specified by the Organization. The University shall coordinate the Enrolled Student’s assignment with the supervisor of the Organization. Upon request, the University will provide to the Organization a copy of a criminal history background check performed on each Enrolled Student dated less than two (2) years prior to the commencement of the internship placement. The University will verify that, prior to clinical placement each Enrolled Student and faculty instructor has completed and successfully passed a drug screening test and that each student will be skin tested for tuberculosis with the PPD test per state requirement and provide written evidence thereof to the Organization upon request. Documentation of any required immunization(s) or titers as follows: a) Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); b) Tetanus/Diphtheria booster; c) Chickenpox; d) Rubeola (2 MMRs); e) diphtheria; f) tetanus; and g) annual flu vaccination, unless otherwise required by state guidelines will be produced in writing upon request.
Duties and Responsibilities of the UniversityThe UNIVERSITY, through the Campus Planning & Development Office shall: Inspect the quality of work, decide on issues regarding the quality and acceptability of the services rendered, require immediate corrective action as may be necessary, monitor the performance of the SERVICE PROVIDER. Initiate the processing of monthly payments to the SERVICE PROVIDER.
Duties and Responsibilities of the University. 6.1 The University will permit the exchange of resource personnel between AMD and the University for specialized lectures and practical demonstration. The University will offer services to AMD without any honorarium or compensation of any kind on mutual understanding basis. 6.2 The University will recognize AMD as a Research Centre to pursue research leading to X.Xxxx./Ph.D./X.Xx. AMD scientists who prefer to pursue research in the University will be given relaxation, as may be possible, from the mandatory course work as prescribed by the University. Such scholars will be permitted to utilize laboratory facilities, library and online resources of the University. 6.3 The University will furnish to AMD, a copy of the Ph.D. thesis submitted by the research scholars who have used the facilities of AMD under this MoU. 6.4 The University will arrange lectures on specialized subjects to trainees of BARC Training School as well as the scientists and staff of AMD/DAE, as and when requested by AMD. 6.5 The University will offer their services to AMD in technical review of research papers and teaching materials for trainees. 6.6 The University will consider expertise available in AMD for the nominations in academic and scientific committees of the University for the advancement of science. 6.7 The University will also consider participation of AMD’s Scientists in National level research projects undertaken by the University, for mutual benefit. AMD will not, however, participate in any consultancy projects which involves monetary benefit to the University or of commercial nature. 6.8 The University will extend all necessary and possible help to AMD in implementation of DAE’s societal programmes such as the “AKRUTI Technology Package for Rural Deployment” and any other such programmes developed by DAE in future for societal developments. The University will also extend necessary and possible support to the public outreach programmes of DAE for propagating ideas of “Safe and Clean

The University will plan and determine the adequacy of the educational experience of the students in theoretical background, basic skill, professional ethics, attitude and behavior and shall assign to the Affiliate only those students who have satisfactorily completed the prerequisite didactic portions of the University’s curriculum. 2. The University will retain ultimate responsibility for the education of its students, maintain all education records, and have the final responsibility for grading students. The University’s representative for this Agreement shall be a faculty member appointed and assigned by the University, who will be responsible for clinical student teaching provided pursuant to this Agreement. 3. The University will advise all students assigned to the Affiliate facilities regarding the confidentiality of patient/client records and patient/client information imparted during the training experience. The Affiliate may request the student provide proof of insurance prior to beginning of the training experience. 5. The University will require all participating students to have completed an appropriate criminal background check, and to have documented appropriate immunizations on file with the University. If applicable, the Affiliate shall notify the student of any requests for evidence of criminal background test or immunization. The University will assign a faculty member to monitor and evaluate the student’s performance during the IUP field experience and be responsible for all costs associated with faculty supervision of the student. 4. Upon notification by the Organization of failure of the student to comply with University guidelines and procedures for the field experience program, the University may remove the student from the IUP field experience. 5. The Organization understands that as an Agency of the Commonwealth, the University is prohibited from purchasing insurance. As a public university and state instrumentality, there is no statutory authority to purchase insurance and it does not possess insurance documentation. Duties and Responsibilities of the University a. The University shall provide the educational prerequisites for admission to accredited social work programs as established by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The University shall provide and refer qualified, senior level students for interviews with Agency field supervisor/field instructor. b. The University shall provide Agency field supervisor/field instructor with a field manual and a copy of the core practice skill areas for student development in their clinical experience activities. c. The University field coordinator/field liaison shall provide ongoing support to the Agency field supervisor/field instructor for completion of the Learning Contract as described in Exhibit A. d. The University shall provide the necessary instruments for conducting midterm and final evaluations of student’s performance in field instruction. The University will grant a minimum of 430 semester hours credit for successful completion of each segment of the clinical program. Grades given by the Site will be converted to the University system and will be calculated as part of the student's quality point average. The grading system for the clinical year should be the same as described in the current catalog of the University. The course grades and credits will be recorded on the official University transcript. e. The University shall meet with Agency field supervisor/field instructor for an initial conference (as described in Exhibit B) and a final conference regarding student's learning outcomes agreement and performance; discuss the student's midterm evaluation with the Agency field supervisor/field instructor. f. The University will review with each student, prior to the clinical assignment, any and all applicable policies, codes, or confidentiality issues related to the clinic experience. The Site will provide the University all the applicable information at least six (6) weeks in advance of the clinical rotation. g. The University will be responsible for advising students of their responsibilities under this Agreement including and as described in Exhibit C. All students shall be advised of their obligations to abide by the policies and procedures of the Site, and should any student fail to abide by any policy and/or procedure, they may be expelled from the program. h. Duties and Responsibilities of the University. A. U-M will use the internship description prepared by the Organization (pursuant to Section II.A., below) to determine the suitability of the internship to meet the purposes of the U-M program. B. U-M will recommend for placement in an internship experience at the Organization those program participants who have met U-M’s requirements for participation. C. U-M will provide the Organization with learning objectives and/or guidelines to be used by the Organization in its provision of the internship experience to the program participants, as well as criteria to enable the Organization to provide U-M with a post-internship evaluation of each program participant’s internship performance. D. U-M will designate a qualified person to whom all communication from the Organization may be sent and will provide for a regular exchange of information between U-M and the Organization, including checking the progress of the internship experiences being provided to U-M’s program participants by the Organization. E. U-M will inform the program participants that each program participant will be required by the Organization to comply with the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the Organization during the internship experience including, but not limited to, any regarding security clearance, health status and/or vaccinations, dress code, and confidentiality. U-M will further inform the program participants that it will be the responsibility of each program participant to fulfill the Organization’s participation eligibility requirements and provide the Organization with any information the Organization may require as conditions of participation.
