Job Progression. (a) It is understood that job progression will be limited to and within those classifications indicated in Appendix “A”, and under normal circumstances, progression from one classification to another will follow the appropriate qualifying periods as indicated in Appendix “A”, providing also that the employee meets the qualifications of such classifications in the line of progression. Thirty (30) days before the end of the appropriate period of qualification (excluding the probationary period), the immediate supervisor shall inform the employee that either he qualifies satisfactorily in all aspects of the work situation with progression being subject only to the satisfactory passing of a written and/or practical examination, or he has not qualified, in which case, the reasons will be given to the employee in writing, it being understood that the employee shall have the right of grievance procedure in any such case.
(b) In jobs where there are no classification levels, wage progression will follow the time intervals indicated for such jobs in Appendix “A”, provided the employee’s performance on the job is satisfactory.

The Company agrees to recognize the principle of seniority in job progression in a fair and equitable manner having regard not only to the length of service, but as well to the knowledge, training, skill, efficiency and physical fitness of the employee or employees concerned to do the work assigned.

Job Progression. Where the Company determines that two or more persons are relatively equally and available, the senior person will be offered the vacancy first. After a period of three (3) calendar months, the person may bid on another postedjob. After a period of one (1 ) year or the length of the leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, the person who agreed may return to his previous position. OR the vacancy will be posted but any resulting vacancy will not be posted. Job Progression. 2 The County and the Union agree that job progression remains an option for certain, mutually 3 agreed upon, classification series. If the County and the Union agree that job progression is feasible 4 for a specific classification series, they may establish a joint labor/management committee to develop 5 the necessary protocol.
6 1. The County and the Union agree to meet to evaluate the protocol developed by the 7 committee(s). If the County and the Union agree to a designed job progression protocol for a 8 classification series, the job progression process will be implemented.
9 2. The step placement upon progression shall be according to the same rule for promotion.
10 3. Trial service shall not be required for employees that progress within a classification series 11 as a result of completing a job progression protocol.

The following job progression systems have been developed by a joint labor and 13 management committee and the criteria by which an employee may progress within the classification 14 series has been established in the specific protocols pertaining to such job progression systems. Job Progression. An automatic progression of a Classroom Assistant or Teacher Assistant to a position in which s/he will earn a higher rate of pay per hour (i.e.: Classroom Assistant to Certified Classroom Assistant or Teacher Assistant to Certified Teacher Assistant).
1. An education support professional will automatically progress within the bargaining unit based on satisfying one of the following requirements:
a. An Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree from a two-year accredited college or satisfactory completion (C or above) of at least 60 semester hours of college credit, or its equivalent from an accredited college; or
