MAINTENANCE OVERTIME. A. ORDER OF ASSIGNING OVERTIME AND CALL-IN WORK: Maintenance technicians working in the plant or available on their day off, if working shifts, are eligible for scheduled overtime. Scheduled overtime cannot be assigned to a technician working shifts if it will adversely affect their normal work schedule. Employees accepting special assignments, temporary supervisory or coordinator positions or training courses will not accept overtime that interferes with those assignments; those meeting this criteria will be the last employees asked on their respective overtime lists. For critical priority jobs that require efficient business operation for the Company, scheduled assigned overtime will be for the duration of the job, however consideration will be given to employees wishing to be excused from such overtime. Start-Up Coverage When maintenance coverage is required for a plant start- up, individuals required will be obtained using the overall overtime list, unless the employee is currently assigned to a job. Start-up coverage will be for seven [7] days or until coverage is no longer required, whichever occurs first. In the event that coverage is extended beyond this timeframe, another commitment will be obtained using the overall overtime list. Full time regular employees desiring to work overtime during the scheduled workday shall place their names on a posted overtime signup list. Employees will have until 2pm of the signup day to place their names on the signup list. Employees not signing during the signup day must receive supervisory approval to have their name placed on the signup list. Those desiring to work overtime on the weekend shall place their names on the posted overtime list by the last scheduled day prior to the weekend. Individuals must indicate on this overtime list if they are not available for weekend work.
MAINTENANCE OVERTIME. Section 1: For the purpose of computing overtime, hours actually worked, scheduled holidays, and approved scheduled vacations shall be considered as time worked. All other times are excluded, including sick leave and authorized leaves of absence. A. Section 3: An overtime board for each work site shall be established for the Maintenance Department, as outlined herein. Such board shall provide, as much as possible, for the equal distribution of overtime insofar as possible with qualifications being equal. OVERTIME: A. Three (3) list to maintain
MAINTENANCE OVERTIME. At the Company's discretion, after the provisions of Article 8.03 have been followed, it is agreed that the Company representative may attempt to contact other Dow Maintenance employees who have indicated they are available to assist on overtime work but who have not signed the overtime availability list. It is also agreed that the Company is under no obligation to contact all, or any, of those who have not signed the regular overtime availability list prior to going to other sources. FOR THE UNION: FOR THE COMPANY: MAINTENANCE WEEK-END COVERAGE AND SHIFT PROCEDURE In the event that shift work or week-end coverage is implemented for Maintenance employees, for a pre- determined duration of greater than thirty (30) calendar days, the following provisions will apply:
MAINTENANCE OVERTIME a.) Maintenance overtime will normally be scheduled and assigned from within the zone group. b.) If unable to fill the overtime need, volunteer employees from other zones may be offered the overtime. If unable to fill the overtime need, employees may be conscripted from the zone first, and then from the rest of the plant. c.) For job continuity, jobs started by contractor personnel may, at the COMPANY’S discretion, be worked to completion by the contractor. Also for job continuity purposes, Management may, at its discretion, decide to hold over the Sterling craftsmen who started a job, in order to complete it on overtime. d.) The COMPANY shall have the right to institute an on-call system for contacting employees for overtime. e.) Shutdown/Turnarounds — The COMPANY reserves the right to contract shutdown/turnaround work. Employees from the affected zone group may volunteer or be conscripted to work parts of the shutdown. f.) Management shall have the right to set start and end times for shutdown/startup related work.
MAINTENANCE OVERTIME. Section 1. Overtime shall mean work performed by a maintenance employee in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period or forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. The exception to this section shall be if employees voluntarily exchange shift of work or days of work. Section 2. Any extra assignment of call out work shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours of overtime pay. Travel time to and from such work will be considered as work time. If away from the Employer's territory, expenses such as food and lodging will be paid by the Employer. Section 3. Overtime shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) the regular rate of pay. The employee shall have the option of taking compensatory time in lieu of overtime pay. Comp time may be accrued up to a maximum total of 240 hours. Compensatory time usage shall be mutually agreed to between the Employee and supervisor. The employee will be paid in cash for any compensatory time off hours in excess of 150 hours as of November 1. Unused compensatory time may be paid in cash on a regular payday with the manager’s approval. Section 4. If an employee is called to work four (4) continuous hours before the employee’s regular work shift, they shall receive a breakfast allowance of six dollars ($6.00) or a comparable meal to be provided on the work/job site. If an employee is required to work four (4) continuous hours after the employee’s regular work shift, they shall receive a dinner allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) or a comparable meal to be provided on the work/job site.
