UNION PRIVILEGES. It is agreed that the business representative of the Union shall be admitted during working hours, at reasonable times, to interview employees while on duty or to inspect working conditions; provided, however, that such visits shall not unduly disturb the Employer's business and further, that the business representative shall report his presence to the Store Manager upon arrival at the store.
UNION PRIVILEGES. 7.01 The provisions contained in Article 8 of this Agreement affect all employees covered by this Appendix.
UNION PRIVILEGES. Where the State has a newsletter or house organ, which is published periodically for the information of employees, announcements of Union meetings of unit representatives or affairs may be included if requested by the unit representative.
UNION PRIVILEGES. The following privileges shall be made available to the Union, provided they are not abused and shall be subject to all pertinent rules and regulations of the State:
UNION PRIVILEGES. 8.01 Authorized representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit any store covered by this Agreement for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and ensuring that the terms of this Agreement are being implemented. The interviewing of an employee shall be permitted after the Owner, or in their absence, the appropriate management representative has given their consent, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is understood that the time taken for such interview in excess of 5 minutes shall not be on Company time.
8.02 The Owners agree to provide a space for a union provided bulletin board in each of its stores in a satisfactory place and agrees that the Union may post notices on such boards subject to the review and acceptance by the Owner. Such acceptance will not be unreasonably withheld.
8.03 The Owners agree to recognize a committee comprised of representatives of the employees (up to three (3)), designated by the Union, for the purposes of collective bargaining with the Owners. The Committee will be afforded reasonable time off with pay to attend such meetings.
UNION PRIVILEGES. (a) The Company agrees that all employees within the bargaining unit will become and remain, as a condition of employment, members of the Union during the lifetime of this Agreement.
(b) The Company shall require new employees to make application for membership in the Union at the time of their hiring. The Company shall collect membership initiation fees as may be established by the Union and forward the application form and such fees to the Union with the regular monthly dues remittance. The Company agrees to issue a letter to all new hires which will inform them that the workplace is a union shop and membership in the Union and payment of initiation fees and dues is compulsory.
(c) The Company agrees to deduct from the pay of each employee, as a condition of employment, such dues as may from time to time be set by the Union, and to forward the amount so deducted to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union.
(d) The Company agrees to supply to the Union a report showing the annual Union Dues accumulation for each employee. The Company further agrees to record the annual Union Dues Deductions for each employee on his T4 form.
(e) The Company agrees to forward to the Union Office on a monthly basis, a complete alphabetical listing of all employees, including their home address, starting date, store location, department, Social Insurance Number and phone number separated in full-time and part-time.
12.02 The Company agrees to recognize officers, so designated by the Union, from each division and to grant them time off with pay as may be reasonably necessary to service any grievance or potential grievance. The company also agrees to recognize a Committee comprised of representatives of employees, designated by the Union, for the purpose of collective bargaining or negotiations with the Company. The Committee will be afforded the necessary time off, with pay, to attend such meetings with representatives of the Company.
12.03 Authorized representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit any store covered by this Agreement for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and ensuring that the terms of this Agreement are being implemented. UNION PRIVILEGES. I. The accredited representative of the UNION, including the local Union Representative, shall have access to the premises of the DISTRICT to conduct Union business with the following conditions:
A. Such business must be conducted with a custodial, maintenance, or food service employee at the conclusion of the regular shift.
B. Such meetings may be held on DISTRICT premises in accordance with the requirements of the DISTRICT's Building Use Policy.
II. The accredited representative of the UNION shall be provided with a copy of the policy manual developed by the Director of Physical Plant.
III. The UNION may post notices, pamphlets and memorandums on boards in areas so designated by the DISTRICT, provided that such material is signed, dated and clearly identified as to the source. No such material shall be posted which is profane, obscene or defamatory to the DISTRICT or which constitutes election campaign material.
IV. The local UNION officers shall be permitted to use the inter-school mail system to distribute a reasonable amount of authorized material to building representatives within the DISTRICT. The material shall be identified as to the nature and source.
V. The DISTRICT agrees to provide office space for the UNION as soon as such space is available. At a minimum, office space will be available upon the completion of the High School building project.
VI. Release Time for Association Representatives
A. The President or other representatives of the UNION will be released with pay to attend hearings or proceedings involving the UNION and the DISTRICT. The UNION will submit requests for release time as far in advance as is feasible, specifying the meetings to be attended. The UNION shall be reasonable in requesting such absences and the DISTRICT shall be reasonable in approving such requests.
B. The President and representatives of the UNION shall use accrued vacation time, personal time, or take time off without pay to attend state meetings and conferences held by the UNION. The UNION will submit requests for release time as far in advance as is feasible.

8.02 The Employer will provide Notice Boards for the Union's exclusive use, where the Union will have the right to post notices of meetings or such other Official Union notices as may be required, provided such notices have the prior approval of the Owner for posting. All notices shall be signed on behalf of the Union by one of the following persons, an authorized Representative of the Local Union or a Representative of the National Union.
8.03 The Owners agree to recognize a committee comprised of representatives of the employees, designated by the Union, for the purposes of collective bargaining with the Owners. A committee of up to five (5) employees will be afforded reasonable time off with pay to attend such meetings.

8.03 The Owner agrees to recognize a committee comprised of representatives of the employees (up to two [2]), designated by the Union, for the purposes of collective bargaining with the Owner. The Committee will be afforded reasonable time off with pay to attend such meetings.
8.04 The Employer agrees to notify the Union of the time, date and location of any formal return to work meeting held with an employee regarding workplace accommodation. The Union representative or designate may attend such meeting.
