Emergency Pay. In the event of a major snowstorm, any employee who reports late for work, but in any event within the first four (4) hours of their scheduled shift, shall receive pay for the full shift. It is understood that overtime rates of pay will not apply until the employee has completed eight (8) working hours.

Emergency Pay. If the workplace is closed due to inclement weather, any employee who was scheduled to work during such day shall not be required to report to work under such circumstances and shall nevertheless continue to receive full pay for the shift that they were scheduled to work on such day.
Emergency Pay. In the event Environment Canada declares a major snowstorm or the closing of the roadway between an employee’s home and the workplace, employees who report late for work, but in any event within the first two (2) hours of their shift shall receive pay for the full shift.
Emergency Pay a. In the event employees are required to respond to emergency calls outside the normal workday (except for those extraordinary circumstances involving natural and other disasters that would entail the closing of schools and other District facilities that is addressed in paragraph b below), employees shall receive compensatory time equal to an amount that is two (2) times the number of overtime hours worked in this capacity beyond forty (40) hours worked in that workweek. Emergency calls for this purpose include only those calls that require an employee to return to a work site to address a bona fide emergency after leaving the site at the end of the regular workday. When a natural or other disaster, including severe weather that threatens life and property, causes one or more District worksites to be closed by the Superintendent (see Article X), the following pay policy shall apply to those employees authorized by the Superintendent to work during such circumstances (this policy shall be in effect only during the period identified by the Superintendent). Employees required to work during such period shall receive monetary payment at a rate of two (2) times their normal rate of pay or compensatory leave equal to two (2) times the number of hours worked, as determined by the department head, regardless of the total number of hours worked during that workweek and regardless of whether employees are also receiving their regular pay during all or a portion of such period.
Emergency Pay. If the public transportation system for the City of Winnipeg is not operating due to inclement weather, employees shall not be required to report for work, and shall be entitled to their unused vacation to offset their lost wages.
Emergency Pay. When School is closed by order of the Superintendent of Schools or other lawful authority and state aid is not impaired, employees will be paid without a deduction from sick days or personal leave for up to three days per school year. In the event there are additional school closings, employees will have the option to, use personal leave per Article IX, Section 6 or a floating holiday per Article VI, Section 2. Employees reporting for work on a day when school is subsequently closed shall receive pay for hours worked or two hours of pay, whichever is greater.

Emergency Pay. Employees who, during the course of their shift, believe that a road they would be travelling on is unsafe due to inclement weather and who also believe that the inclement weather would prohibit them from performing their job functions in a safe manner, shall at that point in time contact management to obtain approval to cease working until such time as the road becomes safe to travel on. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied by the Co-operative. Under such circumstances, the employees shall be entitled to stay in a hotel or motel. The Co-operative shall pay the full cost of any such hotel or motel expenses reasonably incurred, including an accountable meal allowance as provided for in Article 30.01, provided valid receipts are given to the Co- operative.
Emergency Pay. No employee will suffer a loss of pay as a result of being unable to report to work due to a snowstorm only when all public transportation is non operational or if travel is impossible due to the closure of all highways between the employee’s home and the workplace.
Emergency Pay. Whenever the City of Fort Xxxxxxx declares a City close-down as a result of inclement weather or other emergencies and the City excuses non-essential employees who were scheduled to work from work with pay during the close-down, members of the bargaining unit who were required to report for work and do so, shall receive paid time off in an amount equal to the number of hours they worked during such City close-down. Such time off shall be in addition to the employee’s regular pay but shall not count toward any calculation of overtime.
