JOB POSTINGS & TRANSFERS. 13.01 (a) When a vacancy occurs within the bargaining unit, other than a temporary vacancy as set out in Article 5.15, or a new position is established by the Board, the initial position shall be posted internally for a period of five consecutive working days. Such subsequent posting shall be posted for two consecutive days. The posting shall be open to permanent and probationary members of the bargaining unit, subject to Article 13.04.
JOB POSTINGS & TRANSFERS. 7.01 In selecting an employee for promotion from lower to higher rated classifications, or transfers to vacant or newly created classifications, the Company shall consider the qualifications, experience, skill, ability, and education of its employees. Where these factors are substantially the same, seniority with the Company shall govern. If no suitable applications are received the Company reserves the right to fill the position as it sees fit.

JOB POSTINGS & TRANSFERS. 12.01 The Employer shall post, for a minimum of seven (7) workdays in a conspicuous place at all locations, notice of all vacant positions in any of the locations covered by this Agreement. Any employee of the Employer may apply for such new or vacant positions. Seniority, qualifications, skill, ability, and disciplinary record which reflected on work attitude, shall be considered in the awarding of all vacancies and new positions.

The criteria for job selection and promotion for Non Interchangeable classifications will be based on skill, experience, quality of work, education and attendance. In these instances, while length of service contributes to efficiency, it must also be recognized that qualifications do vary between employees regardless of length of service. Every effort is made to make selection so that the most qualified person is chosen. Prior to posting the open position, the employees holding the same position on another shift, who have applied for the shift the opening is on (using the “Shift Change Request” form) will be moved on a first come basis, Normally, the Company will select from within, but when no suitable candidates are available, the Company will recruit from the outside. JOB POSTINGS & TRANSFERS. Voluntary Transfers The voluntary transfer of Teachers shall be encouraged by the Board and the Association. Any leacher may submit an application for a transfer at any time during the school year which will be kept on file and given due consideration at the conclusion of the general posting procedures Teachers currently in the employ of the Board who apply for a voluntary transfer shall be given priority for placement into new and vacant positions . . prior to the assignment of new hires subject to the requirements of the Board for defined programmes. Teacher Exchange Only Teachers who submit a voluntary Teacher exchange form can participate in Teacher exchange. JOB POSTINGS & TRANSFERS. 11.(a) When a job posting is posted pursuant to Article 17.01 (a) of the collective Agreement, an employee who wishes to be considered for the position so posted shall do so in accordance with the provisions of Article 17.01 (a) of the Collective Agreement.
