Leave for Association President. 8.01 (1) A teacher elected as President of the Association will be granted leave of absence for the term of office.
Leave for Association President. The President shall be granted leave(s) of absence during his/her term of office as president. The rate of pay for the presidential leave(s) shall be mutually established for each contract year and shall be based on a twelve (12) month work year. Upon returning to full-time employment, full credit for each year of the leave of absence will be granted for seniority and salary guide placement purposes. All other benefits granted to full-time employees shall be granted to the Association President during such leave(s) of absence.
Leave for Association President. The Board shall grant a leave of absence without loss of salary or benefits to the Association President or designee to attend the annual convention of an Association affiliated with OCCFA. Such leave shall not exceed four days in any fiscal year. Leave shall be requested in writing of the College President or designee at least ten college days in advance, and shall not conflict with any obligations to students, such as mid-term or final examinations or the timely submission of grades.
Leave for Association President. (a) A teacher elected as President of the Association will be granted leave of absence for the term of office.
(b) During the leave of absence, any accumulated rights and benefits which the President is entitled to under the Agreement will be maintained. No additional rights and benefits will accrue during this period.
(c) The Employer will continue to pay the President at the applicable salary in accordance with this Agreement. The Employer will invoice the Association for the Employer’s salary and benefit costs for the President once each month. The Association will reimburse the Employer for the amounts invoiced within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
(d) The benefits of any group plans to which the President was entitled before the leave of absence will continue during the leave. The Association will reimburse the Employer for any costs involved.
(e) Presidents will be offered their former position upon termination of a leave of absence under 8.01 (a). Presidents who refuse their former position will be offered a comparable position.
(f) A President who is not already at the maximum experience level will be entitled to an experience increment for each year of leave.
(g) The President shall advise the Employer as soon as possible, when an extension is applicable due to re-election.
Leave for Association President. The President of the Barnstable Teachers Association will, upon request, be granted a leave of absence with pay during the time that individual serves in the office of President. The Association will reimburse the School Committee for the salary and insurance benefits paid to the President during the leave.
Leave for Association President. 6.16.1: The District shall grant up to full-time release for the association president upon request.
6.16.2: The Association president shall receive compensation and benefits as though he/she were a regular full-time unit member.
6.16.3: The Association president shall be advanced on the salary schedule as though he/she had been a regular full-time unit member.
6.16.4: The Association shall reimburse the District for all salary and salary-related costs in an amount equal to that paid on behalf of a full-time, temporary teacher on Column II, Step 5 of the Certificated Salary Schedule (Exhibit A of this Agreement). If the Association president is not on a one hundred percent (100%) leave, the reimbursement shall be prorated.
6.16.5: The Association president shall have the right to return to the exact position and school he/she left prior to receiving Association leave.
6.16.6: Other provisions of Association leave included in this Agreement are not affected by this leave.
Leave for Association President. The Board shall grant leave with pay to the President of the Association or his/her designee up to a maximum of five (5) days in the working school year during the contract period to attend to Association business. When possible, prior notice shall be given.
Leave for Association President. Teacher: Released time will be scheduled one teaching period per day in such a way that the lunch period, the preparation period and the released time period occur consecutively whenever possible. Educational Support Professional: The Board shall permit the Association’s president to take forty (40) minutes of release time immediately preceding or following that employee’s scheduled lunch period to conduct Association business.
Leave for Association President. A. For the purpose of filing and maintaining his or her time and attendance reports, the Association President shall be placed on special assignment and released on ABL. The President must use 2080 hours of ABL per payroll year unless otherwise approved by the Chief or the Chief’s designee. However, ABL shall not be used if the President is under a suspension without pay. The President’s ABL will be deducted from the ABLP at the beginning of each payroll year to cover the President’s time from the first pay period through the last pay period of each fiscal year covered by this contract. The 2080 hours of ABL for the President will be deducted at a rate of 1.25 hours for each one (1) hour of time allocated for the President’s leave, for a total of 2600 hours deducted from the ABLP at the beginning of the payroll year. The additional .25 of an hour will cover the additional cost to the City for the President’s retirement, Medicare, health insurance and other operating costs associated with being a City employee.
B. While on ABL, the President will continue to accrue his or her usual vacation, sick leave, personal holiday and family leave. Any leave used by the President that is not ABL shall be charged against his or her available vacation, sick leave, accrued holiday, personal holiday, compensatory time, or family leave balances as appropriate. All leave balances are subject to year-end maximums (use or lose). Personal holiday or accrued holiday will not count as time worked. The President will maintain a record of leave the President uses that is not ABL. At the end of each payroll year, the hours of leave used by the President that are not ABL hours will be credited to the ABLP at the rate of 1.25 hours for each hour of such leave used by the President.
C. No overtime, compensatory time, shift differential, holiday premium pay, or holiday accrual shall be accrued or paid while the President is on ABL except, with respect to overtime and compensatory time, when the President is recalled to duty by the Chief and required to labor in excess of the normal forty (40) hour week. The Chief retains the right to recall the President to duty during an emergency or special event involving overriding need for the protection of the citizens of Fort Worth. If the President is recalled to such duty, the City shall credit hours worked by the President to the ABLP at the rate of 1.25 hours for each hour worked.

Leave for Association President. The Board shall grant four (4) days per year with pay, to the President of the Association (or his/her representatives) during the President's term of office according to a schedule submitted by the President, one (1) month in advance of the days requested. The Association shall reimburse the School District for the costs of a substitute teacher for the days of leave of the President or her/his designated representative.
