Posting and Selection. The Employer will post any vacancies in the bargaining unit for an appropriate period of time and will consider applications received from interested employees no later than the close of business five (5) working days after the date of posting. The successful candidate shall be selected on the basis of qualifications, skill and ability, and where equal, seniority shall govern.
Posting and Selection. All positions except unposted term positions of up to four months, will be posted on campuses in places accessible to all APT members and remain posted for a period of five (5) working days. If the 5th working day is a Friday, the posting period will be extended to include the following working day. The postings will include a position description, qualifications, location, whether permanent or term, part-time or full-time, pay grade and salary range. Qualifications will be consistent with those stated on the Job Evaluation information. A copy of the posting will be forwarded to the Chair of the Association. In exceptional cases the University and the Association may, by mutual agreement, waive the posting requirement.
12.4.1 Any APT member may make written application to Human Resources for a posted position. APT members who submit a written application to Human Resources before the stipulated closing date and meet the qualifications as stated in the job posting for the position shall be interviewed. Term employees appointed to an unposted term shall be given preference over external applicants but not internal applicants. An application received from an APT member after the posting period shall be considered as an outside application.
12.4.2 An APT member, appointed by the Faculty Association, will participate in the internal selection process as an observer. Procedures for the screening and selection process for internal applications are outlined in Appendix B. All applications made by APT members will be submitted to the selection committee, including the APT observer. Human Resources will also provide the qualifications matrix per Appendix B (3).
12.4.3 Preference will be given to appointing an applicant from the APT bargaining unit who meets the qualifications as stated in the job posting and submits an application before the stipulated closing date as stated in the job posting. Should more than one APT applicant be deemed to have comparable qualifications, the deciding factor shall be seniority. Seniority shall be defined as date of hire into an APT position. A decision will be made respecting such applicants before other persons are considered. If an offer of appointment is made to an APT member, the Human Resources Department will inform that member of any special conditions pertaining to the prospective appointment, including whether there will be a probationary period and, if so, its length.

All bargaining unit members or individuals on the recall list who apply for a vacant position shall be interviewed.
Posting and Selection. 16.1 Any available position(s), including athletic coaching positions, in the District shall be posted in a common area at each work site for five (5) workdays. Each site manager shall ensure that the summary is posted at his/her site. A copy of each vacancy notice shall be sent to the Union and its stewards. The District may simultaneously advertise inside and outside the District for new or vacant positions upon mutual agreement between the Union and District.
16.2 When a vacant position is advertised during recess periods, notification of postings will be mailed to the last known address of unit members.
16.3 All postings shall list the classification, title, location, salary range, work-hour, condensed description of duties, qualifications required of for the position, and projected starting date, if known. Those unit members having filed an employment application form will be considered first for all posted before outside recruitment. If the District determines that an insufficient number of unit member candidates are qualified, or if no unit member applies, the District may repost without restrictions.
16.4 Within a reasonable period of time following final filling date for any Notice of Vacancy, the Personnel office shall do the following:
16.4.1 Screen all applicants for qualifications as indicated on the Notice of Vacancy.
16.4.2 Administer appropriate test and/or other screening procedures as deemed necessary.
16.4.3 Identify eligible candidates (from the eligibility list, if appropriate) and refer for interview by the Principal or other Administrator.
16.4.4 Selection shall be made on the basis of the individual qualifications and capabilities of the candidate, current and previous work performance, District seniority, affirmative action guidelines, and performance evaluation.
16.4.5 Candidates not selected for a position will be notified in writing within ten working days after the final selection. The written notification for any and all unsuccessful candidates shall be made available to Local 1021.
16.4.6 Unsuccessful applicants may make a written request to the Personnel office for -an explanation. Such requests will be answered in writing within 15 working-days

Posting and Selection. (i) An internal notice shall be posted for a period of five (5) working days asking interested internal applicants to express their interest in the competition, with a copy provided to the local representative of the Bargaining Agent.
(ii) Interested internal applicants wishing to be considered for a vacancy which may be posted during any authorized leave shall notify the Corporation of his/her interest and will provide a point of contact.
(iii) The Corporation shall make its best effort to notify any interested internal applicant on travel status for the Corporation of any lateral or promotional vacancy which may be posted during their travel.
(b) Only applicants who respond on or before the expiry of the posting period and demonstrate that they meet the screening requirements of the position will be considered.
(c) The Corporation shall conduct a preliminary screening of applicants against the established requirements. Applicants who meet the screening requirements of the position will be considered for the remaining phases of the competitive process.
(d) Applicants who fail to meet the screening requirements of the job will be informed of the results of the preliminary screening in writing, prior to the completion of the remaining phases of the competitive process. Within five (5) working days of the date of appointment to a vacancy, the name of the successful applicant shall be posted for a minimum of five (5) working days, and unsuccessful candidates shall be notified in writing of the results of the competition. An applicant may request an opportunity to discuss his/her performance in the competition. Following consultation with the local union representative, the Corporation may hold internal and external competitions simultaneously. Term employees who have been employed less than six (6) months shall not be eligible to apply for competitions as internal candidates.
Posting and Selection. Whenever a job vacancy within the bargaining unit occurs which is not filled as set forth in Section 33.01 above, a notice of such vacancy shall be posted in a conspicuous place and each work location for seven (7) calendar days. Posting and Selection. A vacation schedule shall be posted by November 1 of each year for the following year. Employees shall select their vacations by December 1. The vacation schedule for the New Year shall be posted on or before January 1.
Posting and Selection. French language capability is deemed to be a legitimate selection criterion, in addition to the normal selection criteria, for officially designated positions. The job documents for designated positions will not be amended to include French language proficiency as a duty and/or evaluation factor pending future discussions with The Society.
