Heat Breaks Sample Clauses

The Heat Breaks clause establishes the conditions under which work may be paused or adjusted due to high temperatures. Typically, it specifies temperature thresholds or heat index levels that trigger mandatory breaks for workers, and may outline the duration and frequency of these breaks to ensure safety. This clause is essential for protecting workers from heat-related illnesses and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in environments where heat exposure is a risk.
Heat Breaks. (a) During days of excessive heat, ambient temperatures in open areas will be monitored by the Quality Assurance Department. (c) In the event that recorded temperatures exceed 40 degrees Celsius, employees working on the production line will have a 30 minutes break followed by work for 1 hour.
