Non-ongoing Employees. 126.1 Non-ongoing employees, except those receiving a loading in lieu of paid leave will accrue one and a half days Personal Leave per month progressively (pro rata for part time employees). Personal Leave may be accessed as it accrues.

Non-ongoing Employees. 13.1 Casual employees, who are non-ongoing employees engaged on an irregular or intermittent basis, shall receive a 20% loading on their salary in lieu of access to all forms of paid leave (other than long service leave) and payment for public holidays on which the employee is not required to work.

Non-ongoing Employees. A non-ongoing employee shall accumulate 1.5 days paid personal / carer’s leave after one month’s employment and shall accumulate 1.5 days of paid personal / carer’s leave per further month of employment. If a non-ongoing employee is then engaged on an ongoing basis, they shall be credited with a full entitlement to personal/ carers leave as if they had accrued from the date of their commencement in the Commission less any leave already taken. An employee in receipt of compensation for more than 45 weeks will accrue personal/xxxxx’s leave on the basis of the hours actually worked. An employee will not be entitled to paid personal/carer’s leave while also entitled to paid leave under the Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1973 or where covered by the provisions of Clause 39, Primary Carer’s Leave. The Commission recognises that caring arrangements may include supporting ill family members interstate or in hospital and caring for grandchildren where a primary carer is unable to do so.
Non-ongoing Employees. On commencement, a non-ongoing employee will receive a personal leave credit on a pro rata basis commensurate with the period of their temporary employment. For example, an employee engaged for a six month period would receive a personal leave entitlement of nine days (ie: 6 x 1.5 days for each completed month).
