Non-ongoing Employees. An employee who is a non-ongoing employee will be credited in advance with 18 days paid cumulative personal/carer’s leave for the first year of service subject to a pro rata adjustment where their contract is for less than 12 months.

Non-ongoing Employees. On commencement of this Agreement, non-ongoing employees and their eligible dependents stationed at the department’s Remote Localities in Table 5 may be eligible for Payment in Lieu of Leave Fares Assistance in accordance with the provisions of Clause 71.1(i), at the completion of each period of service as specified in Column 4 of Table 5. The Secretary will approve payment provided there has been continuity of service, with no more than 2 months break in service between non-ongoing employment agreements in each period of service as specified in Column 4 of Table 5. The EA Guidelines for Remote Locality Assistance provides guidance to managers and employees on the application of this provision. Reimbursement of fares or motor vehicle allowance to the value of an economy return airfare, will be approved by the Secretary for an ongoing employee working in a remote locality office where: the employee or eligible dependant of the employee is required to travel for medical or dental treatment where there is no resident practitioner at the location and/or for specialist medical treatment; or
Non-ongoing Employees. On commencement, a non-ongoing employee will receive a personal leave credit on a pro rata basis commensurate with the period of their temporary employment. For example, an employee engaged for a six month period would receive a personal leave entitlement of nine days (ie: 6 x 1.5 days for each completed month).
Non-ongoing Employees. 3.1 Non-ongoing employees are those employed by the APVMA to perform specified duties and/or to complete a specified task or project, or are engaged to perform an ongoing function for a fixed period. The terms and conditions of this Agreement apply unless specifically excluded in their contract of employment or expressly stated in this Agreement.
