Section 1: Sick Leave. The Employer shall furnish each employee with a written statement at the beginning of each school year setting forth the total accumulated sick leave credit for said employee. The employee will have ten (10) days from receipt of the written statement in which to bring to the attention of the Employer any alleged error in the stated amount of sick leave credit. In the absence of timely notification by the Employee, the Employer's records shall be considered conclusive.

Section 1: Sick Leave. Full-time bargaining unit members employed five (5) days a week for a full work year of service shall be entitled to ten (10) days of sick leave. Bargaining unit members employed less than full time and/or for less than a full work year of service shall be entitled to that proportion of ten (10) days’ sick leave as the amount of employment bears to full time.
Section 1: Sick Leave. All teachers shall have thirteen (13) days sick leave each school year credited to them at the beginning of the year, but prorated if they leave the School District for any reason prior to the end of the school year, accumulative to the number of teacher work days. Section 1: Sick Leave. ‌ At the beginning of each school year, each FULL-TIME employee will be credited with fifteen (15) days of sick leave with pay during any fiscal year (July 1– June 30) for personal illness, immediate family illness, or death in the immediate family. Immediate family will be defined as set forth in 105 ILCS 5/24-6 of the Illinois School Code. Employees regularly employed less than 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) are entitled to a proportion of fifteen (15) days sick leave, in the same proportion as their hours of employment are to full- time employment. Sick days can be taken in half (1/2) or full day increments. Unused sick leave will accumulate (are banked) from year to year with unlimited accumulation. Unused sick leave accumulated prior to the effective date of this Agreement shall be retained and taken at such time and in such manner as provided in this agreement. Section 1: Sick Leave. Sick leave for certified and licensed personnel is accumulated at the rate of ten (10) days annually by the Tippecanoe School Corporation up to a maximum of two hundred days (200). Sick leave days may be used for the teacher or in the event that illness in the immediate family requires the teacher to be absent from work. For this purpose, the immediate family shall be deemed to mean the teacher’s spouse, children, or other relative residing in the teacher’s home on a full-time basis, or mother and father regardless of their domicile. Section 1: Sick Leave. At the beginning of each school year each part-time or full-time employee shall be credited with an advanced front-loaded sick leave allowance of twelve (12) days (part-time employees will be pro-rated) to be used for illness, injury, quarantine, disability or medical emergency. Compensation shall be made on or before July 31, of the contract year. c) The provisions of paragraph (a) above are not applicable to an employee who is terminated by the Town for disciplinary reasons. d) A maximum of eight (8) hours shall be deducted from an individuals total leave of absence accumulation, for a day or a night shift. When an employee leaves the department the number of hours that he/she has shall be divided by eight (8) and paid at their normal daily rate.
