In promoting South-South Cooperation, UNDP will also encourage Government to tap on knowledge from countries and institutions in the Global South. UNDP continues to work closely with national and international United Nations Volunteers in the implementation of its projects.

UNDP. The UNDP project office located in Sukhumi (with programmatic and operational support from UNDP Country Office in Tbilisi and the coordination support from MPTF Office) will host staff carrying out various tasks, such as technical assistance, administration and management that are directly attributable to the implementation of the Joint Programme. Both full-time dedicated and part time specialized project staff will operate as part as the project team. Part-time staff will be charged to the Joint Programme’s budget based on the time spent directly attributable to the implementation of the Joint Programme. The proposed workload ratio of the staff is an average percentage of the work to be performed during the JP implementation period. The percentages in a certain period might be higher or lower depending on the needs. Throughout two prior phases and one complementary action implemented since 2017, the team locally implementing the ENPARD programme - Abkhazia component has accumulated solid expertise and capacities; as such, this Joint Programme will empower locally recruited staff to lead on JP implementation, notably through the introduction of a Technical Coordinator’s position to be based in Sukhumi. Thanks to the afore-mentioned expertise and experience, the Technical Coordinator shall be able to fulfil all standard administrative duties and responsibilities of JP management. An International Technical Advisor / International Consultant will be additionally recruited to focus on the substantive part of the Joint Programme, on strategic liaison with stakeholders in Tbilisi and Sukhumi, and on ensuring transparency and oversight of sensitive components of the Joint Programme, such as the granting mechanism, etc. The project office will consist of the following project staff: Technical Coordinator based in Sukhumi will provide, among other duties, programmatic and operational oversight of the JP’s implementation, including coordination with JP partners. He/she will ensure development and implementation of the monitoring plan, risk management, evaluation, support to visiting missions, collection of data and lessons learned, reporting, including provision of substantive analytical inputs for EU and UNDP. UNDP. UNDP completed a skills training “voucher” pilot program to improve the skills of unemployed persons and create new employment opportunities. In 2002, they also funded a Microstart program to improve acess to microcredit in both the rural and urban areas of Mongolia. Currently, UNDP in coordination with World Bank is undertaking a survey to focus on the needs of the Ger Area residents. This survey should be completed in late 2003. They will be designing community development programs that will also provide economic opportunities to the poorest Ger Area residents.

  • Groundwater The groundwater shall not be degraded as a result of the waste maintained at the facility.

  • Surface  Grade and shape the road surface, turnouts, and shoulders to the original shape on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET. Inslope or outslope as directed to provide a smooth, rut-free traveled surface and maintain surface water runoff in an even, unconcentrated manner.  Blading shall not undercut the backslope or cut into geotextile fabric on the road.  If required by the Contract Administrator, water shall be applied as necessary to control dust and retain fine surface rock.  Surface material shall not be bladed off the roadway. Replace surface material when lost or worn away, or as directed by the Contract Administrator.  Remove shoulder berms, created by grading, to facilitate drainage, except as marked or directed by the Contract Administrator.  For roads with geotextile fabric: spread surface aggregate to fill in soft spots and wheel ruts (barrel spread) to prevent damage to the geotextile fabric.

  • Wet Weather In the event of wet weather, work in the open will continue until the particular work in hand can no longer be done safely and efficiently. Whilst it is raining, employees will be required to: Continue to work under cover or relocate to alternative work under cover, on site. Obtain materials and services for employees working under cover where there is only minimal exposure to inclement weather. When required, perform emergency and safety work. In addition, work on unexpected breakdowns, which can be corrected in limited time duration. Should a portion of the project be affected by wet weather, all other employees not so affected shall continue working in accordance with award conditions, regardless that some employees may be entitled to cease work due to wet weather. If a halt to productive work occurs due to inclement weather, the parties agree that employees may be relocated to other unaffected sites. Where the above steps are not possible, affected employees may be required to attend tool box meetings, work planning sessions or skills development activities, all of which will count as productive time for payment purposes.

  • Lost Keys, Lock Outs The Resident will be responsible for the cost of replacing lost keys (e.g., room key, mailbox key, etc.) at a cost determined by the Manager, to a maximum of $20.00 per key. If the Resident is locked out of the Resident’s Room, the Resident will pay a fee for letting the Resident into the Room, to a maximum of $5.00, or will be provided with a temporary key to be returned immediately after use. Failure to return a temporary card in the time allotted will result in a replacement fee to a maximum of $20.00.

  • CURVE WIDENING The minimum widening placed on the inside of curves is:  6 feet for curves of 50 to 79 feet radius.  4 feet for curves of 80 to 100 feet radius.

  • STRIKES OR LOCK-OUTS During the term of this Collective Agreement the Union agrees that there shall be no strike and the Employer agrees that there shall be no lock-out. Subject to any Labour Relations Board (or any succeeding body) directives, if an employee employed under the terms of this Collective Agreement refuses in good conscience to cross a legal picket line, the employee shall be considered to be absent without pay, and it shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action.

  • Severe Weather An employee who is late for a scheduled shift during a severe weather day will be offered the opportunity to work his/her full regular schedule of hours if work is needed, without suffering any pay deductions taken from such employee’s regular scheduled work day providing such employee completes his/her shift. Severe weather days are days when weather hampers mass transit (e.g. buses and ferries) from transporting travelers to their destinations. If weather conditions are such that driving to work would be hazardous, roads are closed, or travel to work would result in extreme hardship, an employee may use his/her PTO time if unable to report for work. EIB is not available for severe weather days. Employees are required to provide notification as soon as practicable if they are going to be late or unable to report for work.

  • Drainage ▪ Prevent silt bearing road surface and ditch runoff from delivering sediment to any streams or wetlands. ▪ Maintain rolling dips and drivable waterbars as needed to keep them functioning as intended. ▪ Maintain headwalls to the road shoulder level with material that will resist erosion. ▪ Maintain energy dissipaters at culvert outlets with non-erodible material or rock. ▪ Keep ditches, culverts, and other drainage structures clear of obstructions and functioning as intended. ▪ Inspect and clean culverts at least monthly, with additional inspections during storms and periods of high runoff. This shall be done even during periods of inactivity. Preventative Maintenance ▪ Perform preventative maintenance work to safeguard against storm damage, such as blading to ensure correct runoff, ditch and culvert cleaning, and waterbar maintenance.

  • Ditches (1) Remove bank slough, minor slides, and obstructions.
