Wages & Benefits. 8.1 All employees covered by this Agreement shall be classified in accordance with work performed and paid by the C/S/E the hourly wage rates for those classifications in compliance with the applicable prevailing wage rate determination established pursuant to applicable law. If a prevailing rate increases under law, the C/S/E shall pay that rate as of its effective date under the law. Notwithstanding Section 2.3, this Agreement does not relieve C/S/Es from any independent contractual or other obligation they may have to pay wages in excess of the prevailing wage rate as required. 8.2 C/S/E shall pay contributions to the established employee benefit funds in the amounts designated by the Unions and make all employee-authorized deductions in the amounts designated by the Unions; provided, however, that the C/S/E and Union agree that only such bona fide employee benefits as accrue to the direct benefit of the employees (such as pension and annuity, health and welfare, vacation, apprenticeship, training funds, etc.) shall be included in this requirement and required to be paid by the C/S/E on the Project; and provided further, however, that such contributions shall not exceed the contribution amounts set forth in the applicable prevailing wage determination. Notwithstanding Section 2.3, C/S/Es directly signatory to one or more of the Schedule A Agreements are required to make all contributions set forth in those Schedule A Agreements without reference to the forgoing. The LACMTA shall not be liable for determining the level of contributions, deductions or payments for benefits and the LACMTA shall not be liable for or required to make contributions, deductions or payments for benefits in excess of or different from those set forth in the prevailing wage determinations. 8.3 Each C/S/E adopts and agrees to be bound by the written terms of the applicable, legally established, trust agreement(s), to the extent said trust agreements are consistent with this Agreement, specifying the detailed basis on which payments are to be made into, and benefits paid out of such trust funds for the C/S/E's employees. Each C/S/E authorizes the parties to such trust funds to appoint trustees and successor trustees to administer the trust funds and hereby ratifies and accepts the trustees so appointed as if made by the Contractor/ Employer. Wages & Benefits. ‌‌‌ WAGES: 4.1 During the term of this Agreement, the City agrees to pay wages to its employees at such rates and for such classification as are set forth in the attached exhibit "A" which by reference is incorporated herewith and made a part of this Agreement. 4.2 An employee placed on a temporary assignment at a higher wage classification for which employee is fully qualified shall receive the prevailing rate of pay for that classification for the entire period of assignment. 4.3 An employee will be upgraded to appropriate TF rate upon relieving a crew xxxxxxx (supervisor or lead), when materially performing the duties of such. All apprentices will start on the first step of the apprentice schedule, except prior applicable experience and/or schooling credit may be granted at any time by the General Apprentice Committee with management approval. BENEFITS:‌ 4.7 Union Specific benefits that are different from City Policy: a) Holidays – Columbus Day is a work day in exchange for a floating holiday. 4.8 Benefits the Union agrees to follow City policy. In the event that the City proposes to change or does change policy pertaining to a benefit listed below the City will notify the Union of such changes as soon as practical. The Union has the option to accept the change or continue with the previous benefit as outlined in the City Personnel Policy Manual as of the execution date of this Agreement.
Wages & Benefits. 10.1 All employees covered by this Agreement shall be classified in accordance with work performed and paid according to the hourly wage rates for those classifications pursuant to the applicable Schedule A agreement. Any employee who is discharged or laid off shall be entitled to receive all accrued wages immediately upon discharge or layoff. 10.2 All employees covered by this Agreement shall have fringe benefit contributions made on their behalf by the Contractor employing those employees to the recognized Employee Benefit Trust Funds identified in the applicable Schedule A agreements. 10.3 The Contractors shall pay contributions to the established Employee Benefit Trust Funds in the amounts designated in the appropriate Schedule A agreement on behalf of all covered employees and make all employee-authorized 10.4 While performing Project Work, Contractors agree to be bound by the written terms of the applicable, legally-established trust agreements specifying the detailed basis on which payments are to be made into, and benefits paid out of, such trust funds for Contractor’s employees. The Contractors authorize the parties to such trust agreements to appoint Trustees and successor Trustees to administer the trust funds and hereby ratify and accept the Trustees so appointed as if made by the Contractors. 10.5 If the trust fund offices do not receive payments for contributions by the date prescribed by the appropriate trust funds for hours worked the previous month, the applicable Trust Fund office(s) will notify the Executive Director of such delinquency within sixty (60) days after the alleged failure of payment. Nothing in this Agreement shall affect contract remedies available for recovery against Contractors for any delinquencies in trust or benefit contribution payments under those agreements.
Wages & Benefits. The general principles with respect to wage rates, employee benefit entitlements and premium payments for Regular Full-Time Employees in Job Sharing arrangements are as follows: (a) Wages shall be paid in accordance with the ratio that the employee’s scheduled weekly hours bears to the full-time hours of the position being shared. (b) Paid leave benefits, such as Vacation, General Holidays and Sick Leave, shall be earned on a proportionate basis in accordance with the ratio that the employee’s scheduled weekly hours bears to the full-time hours of the position being shared. If absences occur due to illness, vacation or other approved leaves of absence, it is expected that the other employee will cover the period of absence wherever possible. (c) Any hours worked in excess of the scheduled workday or the scheduled workweek shall be paid at the appropriate overtime rate. As part of the Job Sharing arrangement, each employee shall work the equivalent of a full-time employee scheduled workday or workweek before overtime rates are paid. (d) The employee’s share of the premium payments for benefits, such as Medical, Extended Health, Dental and Group Life, shall increase proportionately as the number of scheduled weekly hours decrease in relation to the full-time hours of the position being shared. The Employer’s share of benefit premiums and F.T.E. cost will not exceed the total cost normally incurred for one (1) regular full-time position.

Wages & Benefits. 27.01 The wage rates for employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall be set out in Schedule “A”. 27.02 During the course of this Agreement, if the Employer institutes a new job classification, the Employer will set a wage rate and the Union will be notified. If the Union disagrees with the rate, the Union will so advise the Employer within thirty (30) days of notification, after which a meeting will be arranged to negotiate the rate. If no agreement can be reached, the Union may refer the issue to arbitration. 27.03 There shall be a shift premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for the second shift. There shall be a shift premium of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for the third shift. It being understood the third shift remain at 37.5 hours. 27.04 The parties agree to meet in June and July 2022 to determine the hourly rates and benefit coverage to be paid during the period of August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023. In the event that an agreement is not reached, the parties may apply to the Ontario Labour Relations Board for early termination of this Agreement in order that the facilities of the Conciliation and Mediation Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Labour will be able to assist in resolving the matter. 27.05 The Employer will provide up to $250 reimbursement every 24 months in respect of optical on presentation of the receipt and a copy of the prescription for eye glasses or contact lenses. The Employer will also provide up to $50 reimbursement every 24 months in respect of eye examination subject to same conditions as above. This will apply to each family member. 27.06 Jackets/Coats will be provided to Shipping Department employees for inclement weather.
