Educational Leave With Pay. 25.2.1 A full-time covered employee who has completed six (6) years of continuous employment at the CCSNH and has satisfactory job performance in his/her current position is eligible to apply for an educational leave with pay. Such application shall be made in accordance with CCSNH policies and procedures. Approval of an educational leave with pay shall not be unreasonably denied.
Educational Leave With Pay. 17.6.1 A permanent Teacher may be granted a leave of absence at the discretion of the Chancellor with one-half (1/2) of his/her salary after six (6) continuous years of service in the Public Schools of the District of Columbia to pursue full-time graduate study in a program approved by DCPS.

(a) Employees, other than those as set out in Article 5.07 holding a valid Level 2 or greater Industrial First Aid certification shall be granted one (1) day with pay to write exams and to maintain or upgrade their tickets. It is understood and agreed that should an employee fail to pass the exam, additional time if required to retest shall be at the employee's expense.

An employee may be granted educational leave in which his/her department may defray a part or all of the cost of the education, either through allotment or payment of a salary. Each request for leave must be submitted to the employee’s department director or administrator, who normally shall not approve such leave for more than one (l) year. Vacation leave shall not accrue during an educational leave with pay that exceeds fifteen (15) calendar days.
