Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave i. An employee will be entitled to be paid sick and carer’s leave in accordance with the Standard set out in the Act. ii. Personal leave may be taken as either sick or carer's leave in accordance with the Standard. This is described further below. iii. Paid personal leave may be taken as xxxxx's leave in the event of personal illness, injury or unexpected emergency affecting an immediate family member or member of the employee's household. This entitlement is subject to a suitable medical certificate or statutory declaration being provided to The Athlete’s Foot. iv. Paid personal leave may be taken as sick leave when an employee personally becomes unfit for work due to illness or injury. This entitlement is subject to a medical certificate suitable to The Athlete’s Foot being provided (see paragraphs vii and viii below). v. Full time employees are entitled to 76 hours' (10 days) personal leave for each completed year of service. Part time employees are entitled to a pro- rated amount of leave. For the purposes of this clause, a day shall be 7.6 hours. vi. Personal leave accumulates from year to year so that personal leave not taken in any year will be available in later years. vii. If an employee is absent due to personal injury or illness, they may be required by The Athlete’s Foot to present a medical certificate stating the nature of the illness and the reasons why the employee was absent from work. viii. If an employee is absent for two (2) or more successive work days or a single day that occurs immediately after or before a weekend or public holiday, an employee must produce a medical certificate or other reasonable documentation to confirm the reason for his or her absence without the need for The Athlete’s Foot to give any further notice to the employee.
Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. The Employee is entitled to ten (10) days paid sick and carer’s leave each year. The Employee will be paid sick or carer’s leave at the Employee’s base salary rate of pay, in respect of any period during which the Employee is absent under such entitlement. Unless otherwise agreed by the Employer, the Employee must provide a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner in respect of any period of two (2) or more consecutive days during which the Employer is absent from work. Such leave is cumulative however, upon termination or resignation or expiry of this Agreement, any remaining accumulated sick or carer’s leave will be forfeited. Under new provisions, family and domestic violence means violent, threatening or other abusive behaviour by an Employee’s close relative, a current or former intimate partner, or a member of their household that both: seeks to coerce or control the Employee, or causes them harm or fear. A close relative of the Employee includes: a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, a child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of an employee’s current or former spouse or de fact partner, or a person related to the employee according to Aboriginal or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander kinship rules. Subject to the following commencement dates, Employees, including casual and part-time Employees, can access up to 10 days paid family and domestic violence leave in a 12-month period. From 1st February 2023, Employees employed by an organisation with 15 or more Employees, or from 1st August 2023, for Employees employed by an organisation with less than 15 Employees. Casual and part-time Employees are also entitled to 10 days paid parental leave, paid at their usual daily or weekly rate. The leave entitlement renews each year at the commencement of the Employee's work anniversary. It does not accumulate from year to year where not used. The leave can be taken as for example: making arrangements for the Employee’s safety, or the safety of a close relative (including relocation), attending court hearings, accessing police services, attending counselling, and attending appointments with medical, financial or legal professionals. Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. Employees who are absent from work due to personal illness, have the option to claim eight or twelve hours for the period of absence.  Employees are entitled to claim Xxxxx’s leave for the purpose of caring for an immediate family or household member, who is sick and requires the employee’s care and support. Employees are entitled to ten days paid Personal/Xxxxx’s leave per annum. The employee must establish, by production of a medical certificate or statutory declaration, the illness of the person concerned and that such illness requires care by the employee (Clause 7.2.6 of the Award).
Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. You are entitled to take leave if you are unable to attend work due to illness or to care for a family member of your household who requires constant attention due to illness. This leave will be deducted from your accrued sick leave. You are entitled to 76 hours paid sick and carer’s leave per year, all of which can be accrued if not taken.

Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. 41.1. The entitlement for paid sick/carer's leave is 15 days per year. Such leave shall be credited twelve months in advance provided that an Employee appointed on a fixed-term basis for a period of less than twelve months shall be credited on appointment with the pro rata amount of leave that would accrue during the period of the fixed-term appointment. 41.2. An Employee's entitlement to paid sick/carer's leave accumulates from year to year. 41.3. Paid sick/carer's leave does not accrue during periods of leave without pay, periods of unauthorised absence or during unpaid parental leave. 41.4. If the period during which an Employee takes paid sick/carer's leave includes a day or part- day that is a Public Holiday, the Employee is not on paid sick/carer's leave on that Public Holiday. 41.5. An Employee (including casual Employees) is entitled to two days of unpaid carer's leave for each occasion when a member of the Employee's immediate family or household requires care or support because of an illness, injury or an unexpected emergency. 41.6. An Employee may take unpaid carer's leave for each occasion as a single continuous period of up to two days or any separate periods to which the Employee and UMSU agree. 41.7. An Employee eligible for paid sick/carer's leave cannot take unpaid carer's leave during a particular period where the Employee has sufficient paid entitlement to cover all or part of the absence.

The amount that they would reasonably have expected to be paid had they worked during the period Not applicable What Limitations are there? If the employee is receiving workers’ compensation payments (under a Commonwealth, state or territory law) the employee will not be entitled to also receive paid sick leave. A period of paid personal leave does not break an employee’s continuity of service and counts as service for all purposes. However it does not count as service, for all purposes. except where expressly provided for by a term or condition of the employee’s employment; or by a law or instrument under a Commonwealth, state or territory law. Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. 40.1 Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave for full-time employees accrues at the rate of 10 days for each 12 months of work and at a pro rata rate for part-time employees. Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave accrues progressively throughout each year. 40.2 Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave does not accrue during unpaid leave that is not to count as service or during any unauthorised absence. 40.3 Employees will be paid their normal rate of pay during any period of Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. 40.4 An employee is not entitled to take or accrue Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave while absent from work on account of an injury or illness for which the employee is receiving workers compensation payments unless the taking or accruing leave during a compensation period is permitted by the relevant NT workers compensation law. 40.5 Unused Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave will accumulate from year to year without limit. 40.6 Employees must notify the Council as soon as practicable of an absence on Sick and Xxxxx’s Leave. This should normally be before the employee’s normal commencement time. 40.7 Notification in accordance with clause 40.6 should be to the employee’s immediate supervisor wherever possible.
