WAGES & ALLOWANCES a) Upon lodgement of this Agreement, the wage rates as set out in Schedule ‘B’ will be paid for all employees and shall form the basic periodic hourly rates of pay under this Agreement. b) The wage rates in Schedule ‘B’ are more favourable than the rates of pay set out under the applicable Australian Fair Pay and Classification Scale. c) The wage rates in Schedule ‘B’ are in compensation for all non-expense related allowances, excluding fares and travel allowances, but including and not limited to: tool allowance, electrical licence margin, disability allowances, special allowances, construction allowances, dirty work allowances, high places allowances, wet places allowances, hot places allowances, underground work allowances, confined spaces allowances, ship repairs allowances and multi-storey allowances. d) Expense related allowances payable under this Agreement are identified in Schedule ‘C’. e) Where an employee commences work on a site or a project, as opposed to the Company’s office or workshop, and is not provided with transport to the site or project by the Company, the employee shall receive an ‘excess fares allowance’ as set out in Schedule ‘C’. f) Where an employee commences work on a site or a project, as opposed to the Company’s office or workshop, the employee shall receive an ‘excess travelling time allowance’ as set out in Schedule ‘C’. g) Where an employee is required to perform work at a distant location which requires the employee to reside at a place other than their normal residence, the Company and employee may agree on a living away from home allowance or reimbursement by the Company of reasonable board and lodgings incurred by the employee. h) Wages shall be paid weekly on a weekday nominated by the Company. Wages due to an employee upon termination shall be paid on the normal weekday pay day.

WAGES & ALLOWANCES. A. The salaries of all food service employees covered by this Contract are set forth in Schedule A which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. For the purposes of consolidation and clarity, salaries have been assigned to positions without regard to specific location, but with recognition for years of experience. a. In FY 2018/2019, employees shall receive an increase of 2.25% over the prior year. b. In FY 2019/2020, employees shall receive an increase of 2.25% over the prior year. c. In FY 2020/2021, employees shall receive an increase of 2.0% over the prior year. B. Employees with a hire date prior to January 1 of any given year shall receive step advancement as of the next contract year beginning July 1. If the anniversary date falls after January 1, the employee shall wait until the end of the next contract year. C. New hires shall be placed on the appropriate step of the wage scale on the attached Schedule A based upon their years of experience in a similar food service position. D. Employees obtaining the Certified School Nutrition certification will be entitled to an annual stipend as reflected on Schedule A. Proof is required before payment will be made and is subject to proration. E. All employees shall receive their paycheck through Direct Deposit and the corresponding paystub shall be emailed to employees bi-weekly. F. The Committee shall provide four (4) uniform tops to each permanent (school year) employee per year. The uniform tops shall be chosen by the food service program director and paid directly by the Committee. G. After the probationary period, the Committee shall reimburse all permanent (school year) employees up to $125 per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) for four (4) sets of slacks, skirts or dresses as well as shoes or any other article of clothing or footwear required to be worn by food service employees while on the job. Reimbursement for such expense must include an itemized receipt, method of payment and be submitted within 60 days of purchase.

WAGES & ALLOWANCES. 4.1 Subject to 4.2 the following increases will apply to wages during the term of this agreement; a) From the first pay period after the 1st January 2007*, a 3% increase. b) From the first pay period after the 1st July 2007, a 2% increase. c) From the first pay period after the 1st January 2008, a 2% increase. d) From the first pay period after the 1st July 2008, a 2% increase. e) From the first pay period after the 1st January 2009, a 2% increase. f) From the first pay period after the 1st July 2009, a 2% increase. *Employees covered by Appendix 1 to this Agreement will receive the first increase set out in (a) above from 14th March, 2007. 4.2 The payments shown in 4.1 b), 4.1 d) and 4.1 f) are subject to agreement that continuous improvement in site performance has occurred. Evidence of this will be gathered from any of the following; • Positive movement in the Site's key performance indicators ( set out in section 3.5) • Establishment of appropriate strategies for continuous improvement • Implementation of changes required to improve the site performance • Continued development in workplace improvement programs as defined in section 3.3Other issues that may be raised by employees or the company The evidence shall be monitored by the Joint Consultative Committee. The evidence shall be considered 3 months prior to the due date and where progress is unsatisfactory, the reasons will be examined and a plan put in place to correct any problems. Where on the due date, the performance is still unsatisfactory, the company may reduce payment or defer it for a period. Where the employees disagree with this decision it can be pursued through the disputes procedure.

WAGES & ALLOWANCES. 6:01 The rates of pay effective April 1, 2008 shall be as specified in Appendix 1 as attached and forming part of the Agreement. 6:02 As of April 1, 2008 the cost of living allowance shall provide a cost of living formula based on the 1992=100.00 Toronto index with a base number of November 2007=133.80. The cost of living allowance will be adjusted as of January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 of each contract year based on a formula of ½ per cent increase in the wage schedule as provided in Article 6:01 for each ½ per cent increase above the November 2007 Consumer Price Toronto Index (1992=100.00). The cost of living allowance in effect on March 31, 2008 shall be folded into the rates of pay as provided for in Article 6:01. Cost of living allowance shall be rolled in annually on March 31 thereafter. 6:03 Automatic bank deposits will be made available to all regular employees. 6:04 Employees shall receive equal pay for work of equal value, regardless of gender. 6:05 New or changed classifications established in Schedules I and II (see Appendices) during the life of this Agreement shall be subject to negotiations between the parties to this Agreement. In the event the parties fail to reach a mutually satisfactory Agreement regarding the above, the matters in dispute may be treated as a grievance and subject to Article 9 - Grievance Procedure and Arbitration, of this Agreement. 6:06 Whenever the Employer proposes any change, addition, modification, or deletion in the responsibilities of any employee covered by this Agreement, such shall be submitted for discussion with the employee affected and the employee's representative. In the event that no agreement is reached, the matter may be treated as a subject of the grievance procedure. 6:07 Permanent part-time employees shall be paid the proportion of the weekly rate established for their job classification in accordance with the length of service as set out in the wages in Schedule I (see Appendices). 6:08 All employees required to attend a convention or conference shall be provided with a single room. 6:09 The daily reimbursable expense for all employees required to attend the Ontario Federation of Labour convention or the Canadian Labour Congress convention shall be ninety dollars ($90.00). 6:10 The Employer shall provide workplace parking at no cost to the employee. ACA License allowance; ii. Tool allowance; iii. Excess fares allowance; iv. Excess travel allowance; v. Attendance allowance; and
