Section Alternate Day When one of the observed General Holidays falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the day proclaimed by the Federal or Provincial Government shall be the day observed. Section General Holidays. I The following are general statutory holidays which may be celebrated on dates coinci- dent with celebration by the Federal Public Service: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Xxx- xxxxx Day,Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanks- giving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. A Supervisor who works on a gen- eral holiday shall be paid a day’s pay plus time and one half for hours worked.
