Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Any specified entitlement to sick leave shall be pro-rated for part-time employees except that a part-time employee shall receive an entitlement to no less than five (working) days paid sick leave for the first twelve months of their employment and a minimum of five additional working days for each subsequent 12 month period.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Part-time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits on the basis of one and three-quarters (1 3/4) days per month prorated on the basis of hours worked in that month.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Part-time trial service and regular employees working fifty percent (50%) or more of the equivalent full-time position shall accrue sick leave on a pro rata basis.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. 1. Part-time teachers shall receive sick leave on a pro rata basis based upon the following schedule: 1st year fifteen (15) days; 2nd year twenty (20) days; 3rd year twenty-five (25) days; 4th year thirty (30) days; 5th year and thereafter thirty-five (35) days. The maximum accumulation of sick leave for part-time teachers shall be 360 days.
2. Part-time teachers employed on or after October 27, 1998 shall be granted fifteen (15) sick days per annum with a maximum accumulation of two hundred (200).
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Effective the first of the month following the date that this Agreement is ratified by both the Union and the Hospital all existing sick leave plans for part time employees shall be terminated.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. (a) Part-time employees are entitled to the full sick leave entitlement (in days).
(b) When they are absent due to sickness they are to be paid for the hours they would have worked.
(c) Their sick leave balance should be reduced by deducting the first working day lost, the last working day lost and all days in between.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. All employees who are designated as less than a FTE shall accrue sick leave on a pro rata basis.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Each part-time employee will be given one (1) day at 66.667%, effective January 1, 2017 at seventy-five percent (75%), of regular pay for pre-scheduled shifts missed as a result of sickness during the first three (3) days of such sickness commencing January 1st of each year, provided the employee has completed probation and fully co-operates regarding rules for approval and in providing the Home with proof of such sickness. It is understood that there is no carry forward of such sick leave and that any misuse of such benefit shall result in disciplinary action and will disqualify an employee from payment. Any excessive use of sick leave weekly indemnity may be handled in with non- disciplinary measures.
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. Effective January 27th, 1992
(a) Only those part-time employees who have qualified for group insurance benefits shall commence to accumulate sick leave credits on the basis of four (4) hours for each four (4) week reporting period in which they work one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours or more as set out in (c) below.
(b) The four (4) week reporting period shall be the same four (4) week reporting periods that are used in determining their eligibility for dental benefits under the United Food and Commercial Workers' Canada Union, Local No. 401 Dental Care Plan.
(c) After qualifying as described in (a) above, the part-time employee shall be eligible to commence accumulation at the commencement of the next reporting period.
(x) Xxxx pay from accumulated sick leave credits, funeral leave, jury duty, and work performed on a Statutory Holiday will be counted as hours worked in the reporting period to which they apply. If within a four (4) week reporting period a part-time employee takes vacation, then the Company will credit to the employee hours for that period of vacation that will be determined by averaging the hours worked in the three (3) preceding reporting periods immediately prior to the reporting period in which the employee takes time off for vacation.
(e) Pursuant to the foregoing provisions, part-time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of four (4) hours for each reporting period in which they work one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours. Further, the maximum number of hours of sick leave credits that a part-time employee may accumulate in a calendar year is forty-eight (48). A part-time employee will be allowed to accumulate a total maximum of two hundred eight (208) hours of sick leave credits.
(f) Sick leave pay shall be applied only to absences on the employee's scheduled work days, subject to the provision of Article 14.
(g) The Company may require the employee to provide a doctor's certificate verifying any absence due to disability.
(h) The Company shall apply any accumulated sick leave credits to absence due to sickness not covered by insured Weekly Indemnity benefits (or similar benefits) with unused sick leave credits in an amount to equal but not exceeding the employee's normal weekly earnings, to a maximum of forty (40) hours.
(i) Employees, if found abusing the provision, may be disciplined by the Company up to and including termination.
(j) If an employee retires on pension, is permanently laid off or totally disable...
Sick Leave for Part-Time Employees. For absences due to personal illness, an employee shall be allowed as follows: During the first three (3) months of employment: no allowance. A regular part-time employee shall be entitled to a pro rata share of the sick leave allotment of twenty-two (22) days normally available to an employee for a full year (12 months) of employment with the Board, accumulative to a maximum total of two hundred and sixty (260) days. The pro rata share shall reflect the regular part-time employee's full months of regularly scheduled employment during the year, and his or her regularly scheduled daily hours of work, both proportional to that of a full-time twelve month employee. This means a regular part-time employee scheduled to work ten full months of the year will receive a pro rata proportion of part-time days sick leave. Xxxx leave credit be applied on July of each year for employees actively at work on that date, or on the first working day in the year on which the employee is actively at work and is not on a work trial through the Disability Management Program. Employees hired after July or leaving the employ of the Board before June shall be credited with a proportion thereof. For clarification, a shall mean the number of hours per week regularly scheduled for the employee, divided by five e. a twelve month employee regularly scheduled for twenty hours a week shall be credited with hour days. Whenever an employee claims sick leave, such employee may be required by the Board to provide a doctor's certificate, and for absences of three (3) days or more, an employee shall provide a doctor's note. An employee on work trial through the Disability Management Program shall be credited with sick leave entitlement when the employee is actively at work performing his or her regular hours of work and duties.
