Job Training Program. Should there be no successful applicant to a Job Posting from within or outside the Scope of this Agreement, then the Employer may institute a Job Training Program, to fulfill the need of such Job Posting. Applications will be invited to fulfill the Job Training through a subsequent Job Posting under Article 13. The Parties shall meet and agree upon the length of training once a successful candidate has been selected and it is agreed that a five per cent (5%) reduction to the new hourly rate will apply for the duration of the agreed to training period. Upon agreement between the Parties on length of training, the successful candidate may decline the Job Training Program.
Job Training Program. (i) The Employer agrees, whenever practical, to provide an opportunity for employees to receive on-the-job training to facilitate qualifications for promotions.
(ii) The Employer and the Union agree to establish a Joint Training Committee with two (2) members chosen by the Union and two (2) members of Management to determine areas of needs, areas where there is lack of coverage, or opportunities for permanent employees to receive training to facilitate qualifications for promotion.
(iii) The Employer further agrees to establish a fund in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000) annually, which will be allocated by the Employer based on the recommendation of the Committee.

Such opportunities for training shall be allocated according to seniority and aptitude. In order to monitor the job training/upgrading system and selection of applicants, the parties agree to establish a job training committee comprised of three (3) members from management and three (3) members from the Union who will make recommendations to the City Administration.

1. It is agreed by both parties that the Company will give as much training time as possible to employees bidding under this program. However, it is understood that a good training program takes considerable time to operate properly and both parties will do their utmost to see that this training program is fully developed.
2. During their training period, trainees will receive their regular job rate, except that they shall not receive more than the established rate for the job for which they are being trained. In the event that the operator/instructor is removed from the trainee in excess of four (4) hours, and is engaged in activities not related to his/her training instruction, the trainee left to perform the duties of the job, will be paid the occupational negotiated rate for the work being done.
3. The procedure for the selection of employees for training positions shall be in accordance with Article 10, Section 12 – Job Posting Agreement.
4. If during the training period the trainee wishes to discontinue training, or for just cause, is removed at any time during training, the next employee in line amongst the applicants shall then be given the opportunity to train. The posting will be valid for ninety (90) days after w...
Job Training Program. Employees shall be encouraged to take courses which will be of benefit to the Employer and to the employee in question in relation to his/her current responsibilities. Fees for such courses will be compensated by the Employer on the approval of the Administrator by advancing one half (½) of the tuition cost at the time of the employee's registration, and the balance upon the employee's successful completion of the course.
Job Training Program. Beginning within six (6) months after the effective date of this agreement , and continuing through fiscal year 2017, MSD shall provide annual funding in the maximum annual amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000) for job training for sewer related occupational titles (or occupations), which also could include Pre- Apprenticeship Programs and other support services. The need to continue a job training program will be evaluated prior to the end of fiscal year 2016 to determine if adjustments are needed in order to continue providing annual funding that meets the job training needs for sewer related occupational titles (or occupations) as detailed in the MSD Disparity Study. The reevaluation findings will be discussed by MSD and the Signatories to determine the need for inclusion into the CBA.
1. Modification to comply with Federal and Missouri State statutes and regulations and the requirements of bond financing. At all times, if the statutes or regulations of the United States Government or the State of Missouri or the requirements of bond financing prohibit particular job training expenditures required under this Section III.A, then MSD shall provide the funding amounts described in this section for job training expenditures that are not prohibited.
