Seniority and Transfers. (1) A teacher who is voluntarily transferred to a different category may, at the discretion of the Employer, have total seniority transferred to the different category. A teacher who is involuntarily transferred to a different category may elect to transfer total seniority to the different category.
(2) If the different category to which the teacher transfers is not one that has the Association's mutual agreement as a result of the "meet and confer" discussions prescribed in Section H, Subdivision 1 e. above, then the teacher may elect to accrue seniority in both the category(ies) from which the teacher transferred and the different seniority category. However, the teacher must maintain his/her license in the seniority category(ies) from which he/she transferred in order to continue to accrue seniority in those categories. Further, any teacher new to the District hired into a seniority category established without the Association's mutual agreement as a result of the "meet and confer" discussion prescribed in Section H, Subdivision 1 e. above, who holds licensure qualifying him/her to teach in another category, may elect to accrue seniority in both the different category and the established category in which the teacher holds a license, providing the teacher maintains his/her license.

1. Job Promotion Seniority will be one of the criteria for job promotions.

An employee requesting a transfer into another Safeway retail bargaining unit represented by UFCW 401 Meat North and/or UFCW 401 Meat South shall do so in writing to the Human Resources Department with a copy to the Union. Should the request be denied, the employee shall receive notification in writing. When an employee requests a transfer into another Agreement area and the transfer is approved by the Employer, such employee shall be placed at the bottom of the seniority list in the area to which the employee has been transferred. When an employee is transferred into another Agreement area in Alberta from this Agreement area at the Employer’s request such employee’s seniority in the area to which they are transferred shall be transferred with them. An employee transferred from another province into this Agreement shall be placed on the bottom of the seniority list with the exception of Xxxxxx Creek, Cranbrook, and Fort St. Xxxx, British Columbia. In the cases above the employee will retain their original employment date and all earned benefits they have previously qualified for provided that not more than thirty
Seniority and Transfers. A. Seniority shall be considered to begin with the first day of employment on the job. Upon successful completion of probationary period of one hundred twenty (120) days, seniority shall revert to hire date. New employees shall receive at least two (2) hours of training per shift for one week upon being hired by the District. Training will be performed by the five (5) most senior custodial day shift employees. Such training shall be rotated on a daily basis.
B. 1. In cases of reduction in the size of the working force or reduction of the number of hours worked, the parties agree that such dismissal shall be in accordance with Section 10-23.5 of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-23.5).

12.01 Seniority Defined Seniority shall be defined as the length of service that an employee has with the Board in the bargaining unit, and except as provided for in Article 12.01 (a) and
Seniority and Transfers. When a full-time employee is transferred into another Agreement area at their request, such employee shall be placed at the bottom of the seniority list in the area to which such employee has been transferred. When a full-time employee is transferred into another Agreement area in Alberta from this Agreement area at the Employer’s request such employee’s seniority in the area to which they are transferred shall be transferred with them. An employee transferred from another Province into an Alberta Agreement, shall be placed on the bottom of the Seniority List with the exception of Xxxxxx Creek, Cranbrook and Fort St. Xxxx British Columbia. Before an employee is transferred to another bargaining unit or hired for the purpose of assuming the Head Meat Cutter or Deli Head position in that bargaining unit, and if such transfer or hiring will result in the lay off or the reduction in hours of an employee in that bargaining unit, the Union and the Employer shall meet and resolve the matter. In layoffs, reduction to part-time and recall of full-time employees, seniority shall govern unless there is a less senior full-time employee whose qualifications and ability to perform the job are seater. Consistent with the foregoing, an employee whose status has changed from full-time to part-time shall be the first full-time recalled in their classification. Full-time employees reduced to part-time status by the Employer will be placed at the top of the part-time seniority list in their classification. A full-time employee who is laid off or fails to receive hours of work to which they are entitled according to the foregoing shall be compensated for the hours involved in any such violation at their regular rate of pay.
Seniority and Transfers. 11.01 Seniority lists shall be posted and maintained on the bulletin board in the restaurant covered by this Agreement. Seniority lists shall be completed for each job classification by employee status group and will contain a restaurant hire date and a job classification seniority date. Such lists will be updated and posted every three months.
11.02 Seniority lists will be maintained on the following basis:
a) Where an employee quits or is discharged and is later rehired, the restaurant seniority date will be the most recent date of hire.
Seniority and Transfers. 24.1 Seniority shall be determined as date of hire of an employee in the Westland Police Department.
24.2: The President of the Bargaining Unit will receive top seniority for the purpose of shift bidding.
24.3: Vacancies in the Police Department will be filled in accordance with Act 78.
a. The Chief in his discretion may assign patrol officers to the Intelligence Bureau (SIU), Community Policing, Neighborhood Resource Officer, and School Resource Officer for a period not to exceed three (3) years. Assigned officers will work eight hour shifts and individual start times will be determined in the discretion of the Chief.
b. The Chief in his discretion may assign officers to the Support Services Bureau. Officers assigned to these positions will work eight hour shifts and individual start times will be determined in the discretion of the Chief.
c. The Chief in his discretion may assign officers to the Traffic Bureau. Assigned officers will work eight hour shifts and individual start times will be determined in the discretion of the Chief.
24.5: The Union specifically recognizes that computer operation and coordination for the public safety computer may be performed either by police officers or by private contractors.
24.6: Any officer that resigns from the Westland Police Department and within two (2) years of said date of resigning is reinstated by the Westland Police & Fire Civil Service Commission will have the date of rehire as his or her seniority for the purpose of: Clothing Weapons Qualification Vacations Layoffs Sick Leave Personal Leave Days Holiday Pay Shift Preference Promotions For the purpose of wages he/she shall begin at the one year level.
Seniority and Transfers. A. In the event of a layoff, the following procedure shall be followed:
1. A seniority list shall be established and agreed upon between the parties within thirty (30) days of the signing of this contract. The list shall be maintained and published annually thereafter. Within twenty (20) days of submission of the list to the President of the Association, objections to the list shall be filed. Seniority shall be defined as continuous years of employment in the Bargaining Unit (except as per Article VII) including leaves of absence to the extent specified in Article X ¶ A. The seniority of part-time teachers shall accrue at the same rate as full-time teachers. When two (2) or more teachers have the same length of service, the position of the seniority list shall be determined by a lottery system.

2. Seniority Seniority will be credited from date of hire to all regular staff upon the completion of one hundred eighty (180) days probationary period. The University reserves the right to extend the initial probationary period up to an additional thirty (30) days for full and part-time staff. Probationary staff are eligible to use sick time upon accrual and all other accrued benefit time after ninety (90) calendar days.
3. Seniority will prevail in layoffs due to economic reasons or reorganization. Bumps shall be accordance with layoff procedure outlined in section D of this article. Laid off staff will be provided a minimum of 4 weeks (28 calendar days) notice or at the University’s discretion, pay in lieu of such notice.
4. Changes in Status A voluntarily transferred, or promoted staff member serves a 90-day probationary period on the new job with a possible 90 day extension. If the staff member fails to perform satisfactorily he/she may be returned to his/her former job (if still open) or placed in a suitable open position. If no suitable open position is available, the employee will be placed on lay-off and on the recall list for one year. When involuntarily transferred to a new position, there shall be no probationary period applied. A staff member who is reclassified shall not be required to serve a probationary period.
