Sick and Personal Days. The Executive shall be entitled to sick and personal days pursuant to Company policy.
Sick and Personal Days. Teachers shall be entitled to be absent from work without loss of compensation on account of illness or quarantine or family illness or personal business for a total of fourteen (14) days each school year. A teacher whose contract is for less than a full school year shall have the number of days prorated. Teachers shall be given an accounting of their remaining sick and personal days on each online pay stub as long as the software and/or vendor is capable of such accounting. Should the software and/or vendor not allow such an accounting, teachers will be given an accounting of their days upon request. Teachers shall receive ten (10) sick days and four (4) personal business days each year. Notwithstanding the above teachers are discouraged from extending vacation time. If the teacher is absent less than the prescribed number of days, the remaining days are accumulative up to a maximum of 150 days or the number of sick leave days already accumulated as of May 31, 2014, whichever is greater. Teachers will receive a yearly contribution of one hundred dollars ($100.00) towards the teacher’s 401(a) for each unused sick day over the 150-day cap. Additionally, teachers will be paid $70.00 at the end of the school calendar year for each unused personal business day earned that year, or choose to have their unused personal business day(s) converted to accumulative sick days.

Sick and Personal Days. At the beginning of every school year, each teacher will be credited with ten (10) sick days to be used for personal illness including pregnancy disability or personal injury as well as care of an immediate family member with an illness. Medical documentation may be required for absences of more than three (3) consecutive days or those immediately prior to or after a holiday recess break. In addition, three (3) days will be granted to each teacher for personal business to address matters of a personal nature that cannot be taken care of at a time other than work time. Personal business days may not be used on days immediately prior to or after a holiday unless approved by the superintendent. Unused personal business days will be added to the individual’s sick leave accumulation at the end of the school year.
a. Any unused Sick Days within the school year will accumulate in an extended sick leave bank, up to a maximum of 60 days and may only be used for personal illness or injury.
b. Early notification of absences is helpful to all parties in the smooth operation of the teaching and learning environment. For expected absences, notification shall be given at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance whenever possible. For unexpected absences, notification shall be given at least two (2) hours in advance of the time the employee normally reports for work, whenever possible.
c. If a sick or personal day has been scheduled on an Act of God Day, the sick or personal day shall not be deducted from the individual’s bank of days, except for those members who are on long term leaves including FMLA leaves. They will be charged the day.
d. Teachers may sell back any of their accumulated days in excess of thirty (30) at $100 per day, provided notification is given to the business office by May 15 of that year. Payments shall be made no later than June 30.
Sick and Personal Days. 1. Five (5) sick days and five (5) personal days per year with pay may be allowed a bus driver or bus aide for personal business or illness. These sick and personal days, when so used, may be taken in trip increments with the approval of the Transportation Supervisor. Eligible employees may use a personal day for any non-pay day during the school year. (Example: mid- winter break, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xxx, Election Day). Unused personal days will revert to sick days at the end of each year and may be carried over. Sick days shall accumulate to a maximum of thirty (30) days. Employees permanently assigned to a regular run after the first (1st) bid day will be allocated personal/sick days on a prorated basis based upon the total number of student days remaining in the school year from the date of such assignment. If a substitute driver or substitute aide has the opportunity to bid onto a regular run, the number of personal/sick days he/she is entitled to will be prorated at the rate of one-half day per pay period, not to exceed the total number of personal/sick days allowed by contract.
Sick and Personal Days. The days in section may be taken as days, however, it is not the intent of this language to allow professional educators vacations during the school year. Each full-time/part-time professional educator will be granted 14 days to use as sick and/or personal days. In the case of an emergency, the professional educator must provide reason for the leave as soon as possible and in any event, no later than the day he/she returns to duty. Personal leave, except in the case of an emergency, shall not be granted the day prior to or after vacation periods, holidays, institute days, nor during the first or last two weeks of the school year, except for religious holidays. Exceptions may be granted at the Superintendent’s discretion. If a professional educator is gone three or more consecutive days, a doctor’s note or administrative pre- approval is required for the absence. The number of unused leave days available, up to maximum three hundred forty days (340), will be included on the professional educator’s check stub. Unused days will be allowed to accumulate up to a maximum of three hundred forty (340) days. The District will keep records of a professional educator’s unused sick leave days beyond the District maximum of three hundred forty (340) days. Sick and Personal Days. 6.01 All twelve (12) month employees shall be entitled to twelve (12) sick days per year; ten (10) month employees shall be entitled to ten (10) sick days per year; both accumulative to 220 days. Example - an employee’s normal work day is 8 hours per day and is entitled to 12 sick days. The time earned would be 96 hours of sick time. Also if the employees normal work day for the school year is 8 hours the maximum number of accumulated hours would be 1760. Employees not using any sick time in a month will be granted an additional one hour for sick time that month. The time will be credited in the month immediately following the month in which no sick time was used. Employees may use sick time for bereavement purposes as noted in Section 6.02 and will still be eligible to receive the additional sick time provided no other sick time has been used and adequate proof is submitted if requested.
6.02 Beside personal illness this leave may be used for serious illness or death in the immediate family. In the event of illness or death, the immediate family may be defined as parents, spouse, brother, sister, children and dependents who reside in the immediate family. In case of death, the immediate family shall include the following additions: aunt, uncle, grandparents and corresponding in-laws.
6.03 Sick days earned in excess of the maximum 220 days (1760 hours) will be paid at the employees daily rate as noted above, at the end of the school year.
6.04 Upon the Superintendent’s request all employees will provide medical verification and/or documentation when absent from work for a period of three consecutive days. Employees will not be allowed to return to work until the medical note is received.

Sick and Personal Days a. Effective the first day of employment and on each annual anniversary date thereafter, each HSO shall be credited with ten (10) paid sick and/or personal days. If an HSO’s appointment includes a portion of a year, then the leave shall be pro-rated for that portion of the year.
b. The HSO’s Residency Program Director or designee shall approve personal days; such approval shall not be unreasonably denied.
c. Dependent upon ABFM requirements, HSOs will not be required to make up on-call shifts missed while on sick leave or personal leave.
d. Sick and personal leave time must be taken during the year they are accrued.
