WORK WEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. 50.1 The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except for interruption for an unpaid lunch period and paid rest periods. The normal work week shall consist of forty (40) hours per week for full-time employees. The part-time position hours shall be defined as those working less than forty (40) hours per week, unless otherwise agreed upon. The parties recognize .9 FTE as full time for approved positions working three (3), twelve (12) hour shifts per week.
50.2 A regular full-time work shift shall be (8) hours, or ten (10) hours or twelve (12) hours of work or a flexible schedule plus an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour lunch period. If and when the employer decides to create a weekend staffing program/option, the parties agree to meet to define its terms. In positions where weekends are required, employees will be scheduled off at least every other weekend, on average, as the needs dictate.
50.3 All employees' scheduled work shifts shall have an established starting and ending time. The work week shall be from 12 midnight Saturday through 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
50.4 No employee will be required to work more than 16 consecutive hours unless in a case of dire and unforeseen emergency. Employees who are required to work more than sixteen (16) consecutive hours will be paid double time (2X) for all hours actually worked over sixteen (16) hours.

Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or week or days of work per week. The Company will determine the number of shifts.

Section 2: The hours of work for Employees shall be scheduled by the Employer at least two (2) weeks in advance except in circumstances beyond the Employer's control.
Section 3: Overtime is to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the base hourly straight time rate. Overtime shall be paid to Employees for work performed in excess of forty (40) worked hours in a work week. Premium pay shall not be pyramided, in that any hour of work for which premium pay is paid under one provision of this Agreement shall not be counted as a worked hour under any other provision of this Agreement. Paid vacation, holiday time or any other time not actually worked (except paid breaks) shall not be counted as hours worked in the calculation of overtime. Opportunity to work overtime shall be provided consistent with the Employer's business needs and circumstances and must be authorized in advance by the Employer. Employees are required to work assignments beyond or outside of scheduled hours at the discretion of the Employer, consistent with any restriction imposed by the government contract. The Employer has the right to hold over Employees until relieved and/or to require an available Employee to provide coverage consistent with any restrictions imposed by the government contract. In the event that the Employer has advance knowledge of twenty-four (24) hours or more that the overtime will be required, such work will be offered consistent with seniority whenever possible.
Section 4: An Employee called in outside his regular work schedule shall be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) consecutive hours of work or pay at the applicable minimum wage in lieu thereof.
Section 5: Nothing in this Article shall be construed as a guarantee of work, work opportunities, or hours, except as otherwise expressly provided.
Section 6: All productive security officers shall be provided as possible.
WORK WEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. A. ALL EMPLOYEES
1. The EMPLOYER shall have the right to establish the work schedule of EMPLOYEES provided that the length of a work week shall not be greater than five (5) consecutive days. There shall be no split shifts.
2. As used herein, “overtime” shall mean time that an EMPLOYEE is required to work by his/her supervisor that is also in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. An EMPLOYEE so required to work shall have the right to have her/his supervisor reduce the requirement to writing.
3. Where the need arises, an EMPLOYEE may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime. She/he will be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) times her/his straight pay time for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. In lieu of payment thereof, the EMPLOYEE may have, by mutual agreement, time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) hours off for every hour of overtime worked. If an EMPLOYEE

WORK WEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. 1. The work week for firefighters shall be twenty-four hours on duty followed by forty-eight hours off duty.
2. The work week for fire prevention employees shall be eight hours per day, Monday through Friday.
3. The scheduled work week for PT+ Firefighters shall be 45 hours per week, less than the 53 hours schedule of the full-time firefighter hours. M-F 8-5.
4. Part Time Plus employees are intended for the Day Car or (Peak Activity) unit and shall not be placed into the full time rotation with the fulltime bargaining unit members expect for call back shifts.
5. Shifts worked by fulltime bargaining unit members will not be converted to 40 hour work weeks or otherwise modified to cover the work of the PT+ Positions.

WORK WEEK AND HOURS OF WORK a) A workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours each or four (4) consecutive days of ten (10) hours each day. A workweek normally will start Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Should the Employer require different starting days, the Union agrees to enter into a satisfactory arrangement.
b) First shifts shall start between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The second shift shall start between 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
c) If the shift of any employee is being changed, the Company agrees to give such employee at least twenty-four (24) hours notice of such change provided however, that in the case of emergency, no such notice need be given.
WORK WEEK AND HOURS OF WORK. Section 1. The normal work week shall consist of five (5) days, Monday through Friday midnight, except when voted on by a shift or plant and approved by management. Management has the option to schedule the plant four 10-hour days to be a normal work week. If the workweek is reduced under this four 10-hour day option to less than 40 hours (except for acts of God or equipment failure) all hours in excess of 8 daily will be paid as overtime.
Section 2. Forty hours shall constitute a normal work week.
Section 3. When an employee is required to report for work and does report for work as scheduled, he shall receive no less than four (4) hours work at his base rate of pay. In order to qualify for four (4) hours pay, however, it will be necessary for the employee to wait a minimum of one (1) hour before leaving the designated work area, unless dismissed by a forexxx xx supervisor. At management's discretion, the employees scheduled or notified to report may be assigned to other work for which they may be qualified in lieu of their being released. Report in pay does not apply in cases of power failure, acts of God, or other causes beyond the control of the Company.
Section 4. A thirty minute meal period without pay will be given approximately half way through each shift unless otherwise agreed upon.
Section 5. For purpose of definition, three shifts are defined as day, evening, and night shifts.
Section 6. A paid rest period of ten (10) minutes away from work will be provided on the half hour between the second and third hours of each shift. An additional ten (10) minutes rest period will be granted at the end of each shift to those employees who are scheduled to work longer than one (1) hour overtime.
Section 7. Overstaying or misusing a rest period shall be cause for discipline.
Section 8. The Company retains the right to require any employee to work a full forty (40) hour week and to perform such work as is reasonably required by the Company although the same may be out of his classification. Such temporary work shall not cause any changes in employee rate, except as defined in the contract Article XV covering transfers.
Section 9. In all cases of overtime, it shall be offered to employees in the following sequence:
A. Employees in the job classification where work is required starting with the senior employee on that shift.
B. Qualified employees in the department starting with the senior employee on that shift, including lead people.
