Extracurricular Salary Schedule. The extracurricular salary schedule is contained in Appendix C and computed on the Salary Schedule at Step 1, Column 1. Only those extracurricular activities requiring a certificate are governed by this Agreement. Extracurricular assignments are at will positions only filled to the extent desired by the District, and are not subject to any continuing contract rights.
Extracurricular Salary Schedule. 1. Teachers who are contracted to perform Extracurricular duties shall be compensated in accordance with the schedule (Appendix B). 2. District employees who seek an Extracurricular position outside of the District will notify their principal. Notification and/or acceptance of the Extracurricular position outside of the District shall not be used against the employee when s/he seeks an Extracurricular position with the District. 3. Employees shall not hold a Head Coach position for two (2) consecutive seasons except in cases where there is no other staff member performing the duties of head coach for a particular Extracurricular position. 4. For this purpose, consecutive seasons shall be defined as seasons that directly overlap [i.e., a person who holds the head coach position for football (fall) and would hold the head coach position for basketball (winter)] and/or overlapping seasons (Ex – head coach for golf and head coach for cross country). 5. Salary Schedule effective July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. 6. Base rate shall be based on the salary schedule in effect on July 1st of the year the contracts are issued and that rate shall apply for the length of the supplemental contract. 7. If the Superintendent does not intend to recommend re-employment of a coach or advisor for the next school year the Superintendent shall send written notice to the teacher no later than seven (7) calendar days before Board action to fill the position or June 30, whichever comes earlier. The Superintendent will provide his/her reason(s) upon request of the teacher. This paragraph shall not apply when the Board decides not to fill supplemental positions for financial reasons. 8. Neither the Superintendent nor the Board shall deny reemployment to a teacher for a supplemental position based on anonymous information or anonymous complaints or based on complaints that have not been brought to the attention of the teacher. Complaints concerning a teacher’s performance in a supplemental position are subject to the process of Part II, Section J. The Board will consider the Athletic Director’s evaluation in determining whether to reemploy the teacher. 9. Supplemental positions are voluntary from one (1) contract to another unless at the time of employment as a teacher the teacher was notified in writing that the supplemental position is a job requirement and the requirement appeared in a written statement in the regular teaching contract. 10. Extracurricular Salary Schedule. The dollar amounts on the extra-curricular salary schedule reflect a 0% increase to Extra- Curricular salary schedules for the length of contract ending June 30, 2025, with the exception of updating the High School Soccer Coach, Assistant High School Soccer Coach to match the salary schedule of the High School Volleyball Coach and Reserve Volleyball Coach respectively. Extracurricular Salary Schedule. The dollar amounts on the extra-curricular salary schedule reflect a 0% increase to Extra- Curricular salary schedules for the length of contract ending June 30, 2022. Extracurricular Salary Schedule. Extracurricular salary schedule as attached. This new base for extra-curricular pay will remain the same through the 2020-2021 school year. Teacher participation in extra-curricular activities shall be strictly voluntary. Coaching positions will not be filled if there is not a team. Supplemental contracts will only be divided in half (2 people 50/50). When a stipend is divided in half, it is expected that each person under the one contract will do half the work.
Extracurricular Salary Schedule. A. Supplemental contracts will be issued to teachers for non-teaching duties and responsibilities which are approved by the Board of Education and which involve the teacher’s time beyond the school day or teaching contract year. The parties intend to waive the notice and other requirements set forth in ORC 3313.53. When a vacancy occurs, qualified staff members shall be given first consideration. D. Supplemental contracts for all activities will be calculated by using the bachelor’s degree as the base and experience in position for increment steps. Experience at any other equal level and/or at a higher level is counted. Experience shall be determined by the athletic director and the superintendent for sports and by the building principal and the superintendent for all other activities. E. A bargaining unit employee’s performance of contracted supplemental duties may not adversely affect personnel decisions regarding the employee’s regular employment. POSITION % OF BASE SALARY
