WELFARE FUNDS. Section 1. The University’s contribution to the Welfare Plan may increase in each year of the contract on or after September 1st by the amounts listed below. These increases are contingent upon the University receiving appropriate documentation to substantiate the requested increase to the Welfare Fund. Effective September 1, 2008, Employer’s Contribution $6.00, Employees’ Contribution $0.35, total $6.35 per hour Effective September 1, 2009, Employer’s Contribution $6.20, Employees’ Contribution $0.35, total $6.55 per hour Effective September 1, 2010, Employer’s Contribution $6.40, Employees’ Contribution $0.35, total $6.75 per hour For the last two years of the contract, the University and the Union will reopen discussion to negotiate increases in contributions to the welfare Fund. Any increases in the cost of the Welfare fund in excess of the amounts shown above will be the responsibility of the bargaining unit members.
WELFARE FUNDS. On work covered by this Agreement within the territorial jurisdiction of Local 181, the Employer agrees to pay, during the term of this Agreement, into the welfare fund of the respective local on the following basis: Effective April 1, 2009, and thereafter during the life of this Agreement or any extension of same, the Employer shall pay to the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 181, Health and Welfare Fund, the sum of seven dollars and twenty-five cents ($7.25) per hour for each hour worked or paid for by employees covered by this Agreement when they are employed in the territorial jurisdiction of Local 181. Aforesaid contributions shall be paid by the fifteenth (15th) of the month following the month of accrual and failure to pay by the thirtieth (30th) of the month shall be considered a violation of this Agreement. The welfare fund shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. Contributions to the welfare fund shall not be deemed wages due the employee.
WELFARE FUNDS a. Effective December 16, 2009, the Board will increase the annual contribution to the CSA Active Welfare Fund by two hundred dollars ($200) per annum per active employee and to the CSA Retiree Welfare Fund by two hundred dollars ($200) per annum per retired employee.

WELFARE FUNDS a. Welfare fund contributions shall remain uniform for those employees whose respective certified unions have elected to receive the uniform contributions provided by this Article. Upon the execution of an election, welfare fund contributions shall be made uniform for those employees whose respective certified unions have not heretofore elected the uniform contributions. Under such election, welfare fund contributions shall be permanently reserved for citywide bargaining. This shall not, however, preclude the right of any certified union to bargain for welfare fund coverage for groups of employees not now included in welfare fund agreements.
