Work Week/Work Day. The regular work week shall be forty hours composed of eight paid hours per day, Monday through Friday, unless hired specifically for fewer hours per day. The regular work day consists of 8½ hours which includes two fifteen-minute breaks (as described below) and a non-paid lunch period of thirty minutes. The regular work day for employees at the Administration Center shall consist of 8½ hours which includes two fifteen-minute breaks and a one-hour lunch period, thirty minutes of which shall be paid and thirty minutes of which shall be non-paid.

Work Week/Work Day. (a) The regular work week shall be a forty (40) hour week, Monday a.m. through Friday p.m. The project starting time shall be established in the pre-job conference (Article XIII). Once established, the project starting time shall not be changed without mutual consent of both parties. (b) If an Employee is required to start work prior to the regular starting time established in the pre-job conference, said Employee shall receive one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay for each hour worked prior to the regular starting time. (c) At the pre-job conference, the Contractor shall be entitled to elect working his Employees under one of two options. 1. (e) If the Contractor elects Option 1, all hours worked by the Employee in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day (exclusive of lunch period) or over forty (40) hours in one work week (Monday through Saturday) shall be paid at the rate of one and one half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay. Saturday shall be treated as a make-up day if, due to inclement weather, the Contractor has not worked the regular work days and hours Monday through Friday. If Saturday is scheduled as a make-up day, no less than eight (8) hours of work will be scheduled. Overtime pay will be determined by the regular crew overtime. If any other craft of the contractor is receiving time and one half wages on the make-up day, the Employees covered by this Agreement shall also be paid at time and one half. (f) If the Contractor elects option 2, all hours worked by the Employee in excess of ten (10) hours in any one day (exclusive of lunch period) or over forty (40) hours in any one work week (Monday through Friday) shall be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay. Work Week/Work Day. A. A normal workweek shall be defined as: 1. Standard Work Week - Five (5) consecutive days beginning on Monday and ending on Friday. There shall be two (2) consecutive days rest period between standard workweeks.
Work Week/Work Day. The normal teacher work week is 40 hours. However, the parties recognize the desirability of flexible scheduling, and it is their intent to continue reasonable flexibility in the work day and the work week. 1. Teachers may conduct occasional personal business off campus during the regular paid work day without using any paid leave time. 2. The teacher is not required to describe the personal business. The expectation, however, is that the teacher will use good professional judgment. 3. This time off campus must not interfere with any of the teacher’s professional responsibilities such as scheduled staff meetings or IEP meetings, and a substitute cannot be used to cover the teacher’s time off campus. 4. Teachers will notify the school office regarding the duration of their time off campus. 5. An effort shall be made to schedule IEP meetings during the regular work day. 6. The district will make a reasonable effort to limit the number of meetings a teacher is expected to attend each month. School events such as open house, and curriculum nights can be scheduled outside the contract day. 7. The district honors and respects the commitment and professionalism of its teachers and values their need to balance work and personal life. Teachers will attend meetings during their work day unless excused by their supervisor. For meetings that extend beyond the teacher’s normal workday, teachers will work with their supervisor if circumstances preclude their attendance. 8. As long as there is district structured collaboration time (e.g. PLC) it will typically occur during the normal workday when students are not present.

Assignments, dependent upon classification and program, may be scheduled up to seven (7) hours per day. Work Week/Work Day. Section 1. The normal workday shall be seven and one half (7½) hours and, except where special schedules are in effect, the normal workweek shall begin at 12:00:01 AM Friday and end at 12:00 midnight Thursday, with thirty seven and one-half (37½) hours in the normal work week. Bid Shift: A regular set of consistent shifts which may include days, afternoons, and/or nights and a regular set of calendar days shall constitute a bid shift. All open shifts will be posted by the Employer by Friday when the schedule is posted. Open shifts will remain posted until the following Tuesday. All Employees are asked to sign up for desired shifts within this posting period. For purposes of filling a shift on a straight-time basis, shifts will be assigned according to job classification seniority, i.e. the most senior employee in the job classification signing up for the shift on a straight time basis will be assigned the shift. Second, shifts not signed up for, shall be assigned on a straight time basis in reverse job classification seniority order to employees not holding bid shifts and to employees who have advised the Employer in writing, on a form to be provided by the Employer, of their willingness to work the shift(s). Work Schedules for all regular full-time and part-time employees shall be posted on Friday. Continuous work with in a classification on regular shift within a department shall, after three (3) consecutive months, result in the employee’s assumption of such bid shift, at the employee’s option, unless the employee is replacing a regular employee on a approved leave of absence. For seven and one half (7½) hour employees, the annual work year shall be one thousand nine hundred fifty (1,950) hours. Section 2. All employees shall receive two (2) fifteen (15) minutes paid breaks during a seven and one half (7½) hour work shift, to be taken as determined by the supervisor or charge person. Those employees working seven and one-half (7½) hours shall receive one half (½) hour unpaid meal periods unless otherwise agreed to with the department head. Section 3. Any schedule change proposed by the Employer shall be submitted to the Union for review on a meet and confer basis. Section 4. The Employer will make a reasonable effort to schedule mandatory training during or at times convenient to employee’s work schedule.
