- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 14.01 Employees shall not be scheduled or required to work in excess of normally scheduled hours or days without consent except in case of emergency. 14.02 Premium payment of one and one-half times her/his regular straight time hourly rate shall be paid to an employee as follows: (a) for all work performed in excess of seven and one-half (7½) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period except as stated otherwise herein; (b) for all work performed as a result of a change in a posted schedule where an employee is not notified at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of such change in schedule (this does not include additional call in shifts for Part-time Employees); (c) for all work performed on scheduled days off. A full-time nurse who works on her or his scheduled day off on a day which is a paid holiday shall receive two (2) times her or his straight time hourly rate. (d) for all work performed on her/his second consecutive and subsequent weekend worked (full-time); for all work performed on her/his third consecutive and subsequent weekend worked (part-time). (e) for all work performed in excess of thirty-seven and one half (37½) hours in a one week period (part-time).

- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 19.01 (a) A nurse will not be scheduled or required to work in excess of normally scheduled visits or days without her consent. A full-time nurse shall have the option of selecting compensation or time off at the appropriate premium rate in lieu of payment. Time off must be taken within four (4) pay periods of the time owed. A part-time nurse will receive pay only. Premium payment shall be paid as follows: i) work in excess of seven and one half (7.5) hours in a standard day or seventy-five (75) hours biweekly shall be compensated at the rate of time and one half (1½) of the nurse's regular straight time hourly rate; ii) the nurse is pre-authorized by her Supervisor to work overtime; iii) time up to and including fifteen minutes shall not be counted; iv) time in excess of fifteen minutes shall be counted as total time worked; v) Nurses shall not claim any overtime as a result of missing paid rest periods. vi) Where a nurse works overtime as set out above, the nurse shall be paid one and one-half times the nurse’s regular straight time hourly rate for the overtime worked. Overtime premium shall not be duplicated for the same hours worked, nor shall overtime be pyramided with any other premiums payable.
- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 15.01 (Article 15.01 applies to full-time nurses only) (a) Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their regular straight time hourly rate shall be paid for all hours over the hours daily tour as defined in Article 14.01 or all hours beyond 75 hours in a bi-weekly period, averaged over the length of the schedule. If a nurse is authorized to work in excess of the hours referred to in Article 14.01 they shall receive overtime premium of one and one-half (1 ½) times their regular straight time hourly rate. For purpose of clarity a nurse who is required to work on their scheduled day off shall receive overtime premium of one and one half (1 ½) times their regular straight time hourly rate except on a paid holiday the nurse shall receive two (2) times their straight time hourly rate. (b) (Article 15.01 (b) applies to part-time nurses only.) If a part-time nurse is authorized to work in excess of the hours referred to in Article 14.01, they shall receive overtime premium of one and one half (1 ½) times their regular straight time hourly rate. A part-time nurse (including casual nurses but not including part-time nurses who are filling temporary full-time vacancies) who works in excess of seventy-five (75) hours in a two (2) week period shall receive time and one half (1 ½) their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of seventy-five (75). (c) (Article 15.01 (c) applies to temporary full-time nurses) A part-time nurse who is filling a temporary full-time vacancy shall receive time and one half (1 ½) their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of an average of 37 ½ hours per week over the full-time nursing schedule determined by the Home. Such averaging will commence at the conclusion of the two week period following the nurse’s transfer to the temporary full-time position and will end at the conclusion of the two week period prior to the nurse’s return to their former position. Overtime premium will not be duplicated for the same hours worked under Article 14.01 nor shall there be any pyramiding with respect to any other premiums payable under the provisions of this collective Agreement. Nothing herein will disentitle the nurse to payment of the normal tour differential provided herein. 15.02 An employee shall be paid a shift premium of two dollars and thirty cents ($2.30) per hour for each hour worked which falls within the hours defined as an evening shift and two dollars and seventy cents ($2.70...
- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 18.1 Nurses will receive over time pay at a rate of time and one-half the nurses straight time hourly rate (1½) for hours worked in excess of eight (8) scheduled hours per day or forty (40) hours scheduled per week. 18.2 A nurse may request compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the number of overtime hours worked. The scheduling of such time off shall be by mutual agreement of the Centre and the nurse. Failing agreement, the nurse shall receive overtime pay rather than compensatory time off.
- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 19.01 Subject to approval by the Ministry of Labour under Section 22.1 of the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time, work in excess of eighty-eight (88) hours in a two-week period shall be compensated at the rate of time-and-one-half of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate. - OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 17.01 Authorized hours of work in excess of an employee’s regular workweek shall be compensated for on the following basis: a) Employees who work in excess of their regular workweek and up to forty-four (44) hours in a week shall be paid at straight time for each authorized hour worked. b) Employees who work more than forty-four (44) hours in a week shall be paid at the rate of time and one half (1½) the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay for each authorized hour.
- OVERTIME AND PREMIUM PAYMENT. 9.1 Insofar as is reasonably possible, the Company shall endeavor to distribute overtime work equitably among employees in each job classification and/or work group, who are capable of performing the work and who are available at each primary work area. The amount of overtime work assigned to employees at each primary work area shall be posted bi-weekly. An employee who declines overtime when asked to work will be charged with the hours that are worked. Those hours will be posted along with the bi- weekly report of overtime hours worked and distribution of overtime.
