Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. 6.2.1 Employees are entitled to Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave in accordance with the NES and this clause. 6.2.2 Full-time Employees will accrue 10 days Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave per year of service. Part-time Employees will accrue Personal/Carer’s Leave on a pro-rata basis of the full-time entitlement. 6.2.3 Casual Employees will also be entitled to 2 day’s unpaid carer’s leave. 6.2.4 To be entitled to Personal Leave the Employee must, if the Employer so requires, produce a medical certificate or statutory declaration in support of any absence or absences due to illness or injury. Absences of more than 2 consecutive days must be supported by a medical certificate or statutory declaration. 6.2.5 Where practicable the Employee shall notify the nominated representative of the Employer of any absence prior to the commencement of the Employee’s next period of work and the Employee shall within 24 hours of the commencement of such absence, as far as practicable, state the nature of the illness or incapacity and the estimated duration of the absence.

Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. Permanent Employees are entitled to personal/careers leave in accordance with the National Employment Standards contained in the Fair Work Act. a) Personal leave is any leave taken in the circumstances of:  personal illness or injury (sick leave); or  to provide care or support to a member of their immediate family or household, because of a personal illness, injury or unexpected emergency affecting the member. b) If the employee is a full time employee, the entitlement to this leave accrues on a pro-rata basis from when the employee commenced employment. Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. Entitlement (a) Under this part, an employee is entitled to paid leave (sick leave) because of a personal illness or injury or paid or unpaid leave (xxxxx’s leave) to provide care or support to a member of the employee’s immediate family, or a member of the employee’s household, who requires care or support because of: i. A personal illness, or injury, of the member; or ii. An unexpected emergency affecting the member. (b) For the purposes of clause (a), the following are members of an employee’s immediate family: A spouse of the employee; or child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the employee, or spouse of the employee (c) Personal/Carers leave of 10 days’ paid leave a year will be accrued after 12 months service. (a) The employer is not required to pay personal/carer’s leave entitlements for any period during which the employee is absent from work because of a personal illness or injury for which the employee receives workers compensation payments. (b) Employees must notify the employer by telephone or arrange for the employer to be notified before the start of work for that day of their inability to attend for work, the nature of their illness or injury and the estimated length of their absence. Wherever practicable, such notification should be provided on the previous day so as to enable the employer to make alternative staffing arrangements. (c) Employees must provide a medical certificate from a registered health practitioner or a statutory declaration if it is not reasonably practicable to obtain a medical certificate, after one (1) days absence as proof of personal illness or injury, or for any day prior to or after a public holiday, or as otherwise specifically requested by the employer. (d) Payment for personal/xxxxx’s leave may be withheld where the employee does not provide a medical certificate as proof of personal illness or injury.
Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. 28.1 Except as otherwise provided (below), the provisions relating to personal/ carer’s leave and how and when it is to be taken will be in accordance with the NES. Entitlements shall be allocated to employees each month at 5.833 hours per month and pro rata on a monthly basis for employees in their first year of employment. 28.2 An employee shall receive up to 35 hours personal/ carer’s leave credits for their first completed year of service on a pro rata basis calculated from commencement date to the 30 June next occurring (or a pro rata amount) depending on the starting date. As of 1 July 28.3 The pro rata credits will apply to the nearest two hours. 28.4 Where an employee terminates employment with the Company for any reason, their personal/ carer’s leave credit in respect of their final year of service shall be applied on a pro rata basis up to the date of termination. 28.5 Out of this entitlement an employee who is absent from work on account of personal illness or injury or approved carer’s leave shall have their entitlement reduced by the number of ordinary or rostered hours absent and shall be paid for such hours at the rate of ordinary time for such absence subject to the following conditions: (a) The employee shall not be eligible for such payment for any period in respect of which there is an entitlement to Work Cover. (b) The employee shall prove to the satisfaction of the company that they were unable on account of such illness or injury to attend for duty on the day or days for which such payment is claimed. 28.6 A doctor's certificate is preferred to verify all absences. However, it is accepted that not all single day absences require a visit to the doctor. For two or more days off through illness or injury, a doctor's certificate must be produced. 28.7 The employee shall personally advise the company, insofar as it is practicable: (a) Prior to the commencement of their absence, of their inability to attend for duty, stating as far as practicable the nature of their illness or injury and the estimated duration of their absence; (b) Prior to their recommencement after such absence, at least 16hrs before their normal starting time, of the employee's intention to report for duty; and (c) If advice or notification is not received by the company in accordance with either of these requirements above, the employee shall prove to the satisfaction of the company that they were unable to advise or arrange for the company to be so advised. 28.8 Such p...
Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. 45.1 Employees (other than casuals) shall be entitled to personal/carer’s leave in accordance with NES. The entitlement to personal/carer’s leave is equivalent to 10 days leave for each twelve months of continuous service for working an average of 38 hours per week over a 52-week period. 45.2 In the case of other Employees (excluding casuals), a pro rata amount of personal/carer’s leave will accrue in accordance with NES. Personal/xxxxx's leave includes sick leave for the Employee when ill or injured and leave for the Employee to provide care or support to a member of the Employee's immediate family who is sick or injured or who has an unexpected emergency as defined in the FW Act. 45.3 Entitlement to carers leave under this clause is in respect of a member of the Employee’s family or household as defined by the FW Act.‌‌‌‌ 45.4 An Employee will be granted sick leave up to the limit of his/her accrued entitlement if he/she is absent from work due to personal illness or injury (other than injury covered by Xxxxxx's Compensation), or he/she is required to care for an ill or injured family member, subject to: 45.4.1 The Employee notifying the Company within 24 hours of the commencement of sick leave; and 45.4.2 Providing to the Company's satisfaction that the sick leave is/was justified; and 45.4.3 Providing a Doctor's certificate for any multiple day absence, or single day absences in excess of two single day absences per year or a statutory declaration, where the Company accepts it as appropriate. 45.5 Sick leave is paid at the Employee’s ordinary time Wage Rate.

An immediate family member is a: (a) Spouse or former spouse, de facto or former de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild, siblings; or (b) child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the Employee’s spouse or de facto partner (or former spouse or defacto partner 43.3. This definition also includes step-relations (e.g. step-parents and step-children) as well as adoptive relations. 43.4. An Employee will be granted personal leave up to the limit of his/her accrued entitlement if he/she is absent from work due to personal illness or injury (other than injury covered by Worker's Compensation), or he/she is required to care for an ill or injured family member, subjectto: (a) The Employee notifying the Company as soon as possible of the commencement of personal leave; and (b) Providing to the Company’s satisfaction that the personal leave is/was justified; and (c) Providing a Doctor's certificate for any multiple day absences, or single day absence in excess of two single day absences per year or a statutory declaration, where the Company accepts it as appropriate. 43.5. Personal leave is paid at the ordinary wage rate. 43.6. For the purpose of clarity an Employee’s anniversary date is the date of commencement of employment.

Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. Personal leave /carers leave (which may also be known as sick leave) on full salary will accumulate at the rate of 10 work days for each completed year of service and proportionate amount for an incomplete year of service and the following will apply: (a) Leave may be taken for part of a day; (b) Entitlement to Personal/Xxxxx’s leave is conditional on the VMO promptly notifying Mater of their absence and of its expected duration; (c) An application for Personal/Xxxxx’s leave of more than 3 days must be supported by a medical certificate or other acceptable evidence from an independent medical practitioner; (d) Personal/carers leave is not paid out on termination of the VMO’s employment for any reason.
Personal Leave / Carer’s Leave. (1) Personal leave entitlement may be accessed for personal illness or injury, to provide care or support to a member of the Employee’s immediate family or household who requires care or support due to an illness, injury or unexpected emergency affecting that family or household member, unanticipated matters of a compassionate or pressing nature which arise without notice or planned matters where arrangements cannot be made outside of normal working hours or be met by utilising other leave, in accordance with the provisions of this clause. (2) Paid personal/carer’s leave does not apply to casual Employees. (3) Personal leave is not for circumstances normally met by other forms of leave. (4) Personal Leave will be pro-rated for Part-Time Employees according to their ordinary hours of work, and for fixed or Maximum Term Employees according to the period of their contract. (5) Employees, excluding casuals, shall be entitled to 114 hours (15 days) personal leave per year of service, pro-rated for Part-Time Employees. Personal leave shall be credited in advance as follows: (a) On day of initial appointment: 64.6 hours (b) On completion of 6 months continuous service: 49.4 hours (c) On the completion of 12 months service, and on completion of each further period of 12 months continuous service: 114 hours (6) Personal leave will not be debited for public holidays, which the Employee would have observed. (7) Personal leave may be taken on an hourly basis provided the Employee complies with any notice and evidence requirements. (8) Where Employees have exhausted their accrual of paid personal leave, they are entitled to two days unpaid carer's leave on each applicable occasion in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
