STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND ANNUAL VACATIONS. 24.01 The Employer agrees to provide all regular employees with the following Statutory Holidays, without loss of pay: New Years Day Dominion Day Remembrance Day Good Friday B.C. Day Christmas Day Easter Monday Labour Day Boxing Day Victoria Day Thanksgiving Day Family Day and any other day that may be stated a gazetted public holiday by the Provincial and/or Federal Government or as passed by Order-in-Council. 24.02 In the event any of the holidays enumerated in 24.01 above occur during the period of an employee’s vacation, scheduled days off or accumulated Statutory Holiday period, an additional day(s) vacation with pay will be allowed for each holiday so occurring. 24.03 Employees whose regular shift(s) require them to work on Statutory Holidays provided herein will be paid at (1 ½ x) times the regular rate for the time worked and will be granted equivalent time off at a time mutually agreed with the Employer.
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND ANNUAL VACATIONS. Section 1 – Statutory Holidays 7.01 All employees shall be paid for Statutory Holidays in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. 7.02 An employee who works on any recognized Statutory Holiday shall be paid time and one-half (1 ½) for hours worked plus a day’s pay or be paid time and one- half (1 ½) for hours worked with a lieu day for the Statutory Holiday or be paid eight (8) hours straight pay for the Statutory Holiday and time off at one and one-half (1 ½) times in lieu of the hours worked. Time off shall be given as soon as possible thereafter at a time mutually agreeable between the Regional District and the employee. 7.03 The recognized Statutory Holidays shall be as follows: Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day B.C. Day New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day Victoria Day or any additional day proclaimed by the Federal or Provincial Government or the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary. 7.04 When any such holiday falls during an employee’s vacation with pay, taken under Section 2, and he would have become entitled to pay for such holiday not worked had he not been on vacation, he shall receive an additional day’s vacation with pay in lieu thereof.
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND ANNUAL VACATIONS. 10.01 The following Paid Holidays will be observed: New Year's Day First Monday in August Good Friday Labour Day Easter Monday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Remembrance Day Dominion Day Christmas Day Boxing Day and any other paid holiday proclaimed by the Provincial or Federal Governments. When any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday and/or Sunday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day the preceding Friday and/or following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement, provided however, that the District has the final right to allotment of days in order to ensure orderly operations of the District. Part-time employees at the Transfer Station will be permitted to work the day following any statutory holiday that falls on their normal day of work. (a) One floating holiday for regular (full-time) permanent employees which must be taken prior to the end of the contract year. 10.02 Floating holiday shall be taken at a time which is acceptable to both the District and the employee and the date shall be confirmed in writing fourteen (14) days before its occurrence. However, the number of employees as described above, granted a floating holiday at any one time will, at the discretion of the District, be limited to ensure a productive and orderly operation of the Municipality. 10.03 An employee shall be entitled to Statutory Holiday pay for any of the above named holidays not worked, provided he/she meets all of the following eligibility requirements: (a) He/she has been in the employ of the District at least thirty (30) days and has earned wages for at least fifteen (15) days during the thirty (30) calendar days immediately preceding the holiday. (b) He/she shall have worked all of his/her last scheduled shift prior to and all of his/her next scheduled shift following such holiday, unless an absence from one or both of such shifts is because of sickness or accident of the employee (medical certification required). 10.04 Holiday pay for a holiday not worked shall be computed by multiplying the appropriate standard hourly rate by eight (8) hours in the case of a regular outside worker, seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours in the case of regular clerical employees and guards, or pro-rata in the case of regular part-time employees. 10.05 No holiday pay shall be paid to any employee for any holiday which occurs during a period of lay-off or leave of absence, or which occurs following the effective date of termination of ...
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND ANNUAL VACATIONS. Section 1 Statutory Holidays 11.01 Regular and probationary employees shall receive a day off with pay for all statutory holidays listed under Clause 11.02 provided that he worked or was paid wages (sick leave, vacation, authorized leave) for the scheduled working day prior to, or the scheduled working day after such holiday. This does not apply to employees on general leave of absence as outlined in Clause 9.01. For part-time employees, payment for statutory holidays shall be pro-rated based on actual hours worked in a normal work week. Temporary employees shall be entitled to receive a day off with pay for all statutory holidays provided the conditions of the Employment Standards Act of BC are met. 11.02 The Employer agrees to provide all employees with the following statutory holidays at the employee’s regular rate of pay: New Years Day Victoria Day Labour Day Christmas Day Good Friday Canada Day Thanksgiving Day Boxing Day Easter Monday B.C. Day Remembrance Day and any other day that may be stated a legal holiday by the Provincial, Civic and/or Federal Government. 11.03 Should any of the above holidays fall on an employee’s regular day off, the employee shall receive an additional day or days off, with pay, to be taken on the following Monday, or at a time mutually agreed with the Employer. 11.04 No work shall be performed by employees on the holidays mentioned except in unforeseen circumstances. Work performed on such occasions will be paid at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s regular rate in addition to the regular salary.

(c) When one of the statutory holidays noted in (a) preceding falls on a regularly scheduled work day during an employee's annual vacation, the employee shall be granted an additional day's vacation.

The Employer further agrees that should one of the above statutory holidays fall on either a Saturday or a Sunday or regular scheduled day off, the employee shall receive an additional day or days off, with pay, to be taken the working day preceding the holiday or the working day succeeding the holiday. The day(s) given will be determined by the Employer.
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND ANNUAL VACATIONS. 9.01 If an employee is required to work on Good Friday, Labour Day or Christmas Day, the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1.5) plus straight time for all hours worked. In addition, each regular employee will receive seven point two (7.2) paid hour off.

When any such holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Village and the employees shall designated a mutually acceptable alternate date (Friday or Monday) on which to observe the statutory holiday. 12.02 The recognised Statutory Holidays shall be as follows: New Year's Day Victoria Day Labour Day Christmas Day Good Friday Canada Day Thanksgiving Day Boxing Day Easter Monday B. C. Day Remembrance Day and all days proclaimed by Local Government, Provincial or Federal Government. 12.03 All work performed on any Statutory Holiday listed in this Article shall be paid for at the applicable rate of overtime pay for the work performed by the employee, in addition to the pay due for the Statutory Holiday.
