Xxxx Leave Sharing. This program shall permit district employees to donate sick leave to a fellow district employee who is pregnant or recovering from childbirth, or who is suffering from or has a relative or household teacher suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition which has caused or is likely to cause the employee to take leave without pay or to terminate employment. An employee shall receive the donated days before being docked the cost of a certified substitute for 20 days. The sick leave sharing guidelines are as follows:

Employees are granted the right to donate sick leave in order to come to the aid of another employee who is suffering from, or who has a relative or household member suffering from, any of the following circumstances which has caused, or is likely to cause, the unit member to take leave without pay or terminate his/her employment.

Xxxx Leave Sharing. Certificated employees with at least 22 days in reserve may voluntarily donate any amount that does not cause the employee’s balance to fall below 22 days to pools established for individual employees who qualify for shared leave under WAC 392- 136A-030. Eligible employees must first exhaust all sick leave unless the employee is allowed, because of the reason for the leave, to maintain up to forty (40) hours of sick leave by state law. The intent is that pools be established on an individualized basis once genuine need is established and qualifies under state law. Leave shall be donated on a day-for-day basis. A leave recipient must not receive more than five hundred twenty-two (522) days of shared leave during total district employment.
Xxxx Leave Sharing. The District will establish and administer a leave sharing 837 plan in which eligible employees may donate excess sick leave for use by a staff 838 member who is suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, 839 impairment or physical or mental condition only after all other leave is 840 exhausted. Shared leave shall be extended to employees who are sick or 841 temporarily disabled due to pregnancy disability or for the purpose of parental 842 leave to bond with a newborn, adoptive, or xxxxxx child. The value of leave 843 transferred is based upon the current salary rate of the person receiving the 844 leave. The value of any leave transferred under this policy which remains 845 unused shall be returned at its original value to the staff member who donated 846 the leave. 847 848 Parental Leave means to bond and care for a newborn child after birth or to 849 bond and care for a child after adoption or xxxxxx care, for the maximum 850 number of weeks allowed under the law, after the birth or placement and 851 within the first 12-months after birth or placement. Xxxx Leave Sharing. 37 38 An employee who has an accumulated sick leave balance of more than 22 days may request the 39 Superintendent to transfer a specified amount of sick leave to another employee authorized to 40 receive leave. Such transfer request must be made in writing. In no event may an employee 41 request a transfer that would result in his/her sick leave accumulation going below 22 days. 42 Transferred days shall be deducted from the employee's sick leave accumulation and will be 43 credited to the sick leave accumulation of the employee to whom the days were transferred. The 44 value of the leave transferred shall be based upon the leave value of the person receiving the 45 leave. In situations where more than one (1) employee is offering to transfer sick leave to 46 another employee, sick leave transfer shall be implemented in an equitable manner. 47 48 This shall be implemented consistent with any applicable RCW or WAC regulations.
Xxxx Leave Sharing. Bargaining unit members who have accumulated more than 176 hours of sick leave may donate accumulated sick leave to other employees in College Place School District bargaining unit. The employee may not donate more than six (6) days of leave during any school year. (RCW 41.04.
