JOB POSTING AND BIDDING PROCEDURE. SECTION 1 All job vacancies will be posted on the bulletin boards at each work site. The Superintendent will post a descriptive notice which includes number of hours, classification, and work site on the bulletin boards for five (5) work days; and applications to fill the job will be received on forms provided by the Board. The Superintendent will be responsible for the distribution of application forms to those who wish to apply. The employee with the greatest seniority within the job classification posted who is qualified or qualifiable after a six-(6) week training period will be assigned to the job. All other applicants, whether internal or external, will be given equal consideration. After the first six-(6) week period, a second six-(6) week training period may be assigned. This clause shall cover vacancies caused by retirement, discharge, death, or promotion and also newly created permanent jobs or the training of personnel to fill in as replacements within the bargaining unit. Employees outside the classification may be considered for hire if the employee takes a qualifying test by Michigan Works, Northern Michigan University, or similar agency acceptable to the district. Supervisory positions will be filled insofar as possible from the ranks of the qualified employees. The Superintendent will notify the employee’s bargaining committee of supervisory positions to be filled within a reasonable time prior to the official appointment. Final authority to select and approve all personnel rests with the Board.
SECTION 3 Effective with the signing of this Agreement, the District shall have authority when an employee has been absent due to personal illness or a work-related injury for a period of ninety (90) calendar days to post that employee’s position as being vacant, recognizing that should the employee return to work within the terms of the existing contract the employee would be entitled to claim a position equal to that held prior to the extended absence. Likewise, any employee posting for and being assigned to fill such a vacancy shall be entitled to retain such a position on a permanent basis should it be known that the employee on extended leave will definitely not be returning. Further, should the employee on extended leave return to regular employment, the person who had been awarded the position of the absent employee would be entitled to return to a position similar to the one he or she held previously.

JOB POSTING AND BIDDING PROCEDURE. A) At least one (1) week prior to the start of each academic school year, a meeting, called by Administration, will be held for employees within their classification to bid by seniority (most senior first) on an assignment as posted by Administration.
B) All permanent vacancies and newly-created positions within the bargaining unit shall be filled on the basis of seniority and qualifications. All job vacancies and/or newly-created positions will be posted for a period of seven (7) calendar

2) His ability to perform the job; The position vacated through compliance with this Section shall not be construed to be a newly-created position or vacancy, shall not be subject to the posting requirements as herein provided, and thereafter shall be filled from the recall list if applicable.
C) In the event the senior applicant(s) is denied the position, reasons for the denial shall be given in writing to the employee(s). In the event the senior applicant(s) disagrees with the reasons for denial, it shall be proper subject for the Grievance Procedure.
D) The Employer shall provide the Union's Chapter Chairperson with a copy of each job posting, a copy of the applications for the position, and to whom the position was awarded.
E) All vacancies and/or newly created positions shall be awarded or denied within ten (10) calendar days from the end of the posting period.
F) During the four week trial period, the employee shall have the opportunity to revert back to his former classification. If the employee is unsatisfactory in the new position, notice and reasons will be submitted to the employee in writing by the Employer with a copy to the Union. The matter may then become a proper subject for the second step of the Grievance Procedure.
G) During the trial period, the employee will receive the rate of pay of the job they are performing.
H) In the event a problem arises with an employee which cannot be resolved with discussions between the parties, a conference shall be held between the affected employee(s), the teacher, if involved, the Administrative Supervisor, and the Union in an attempt to resolve the problem. If the problem remains unresolved, the Administrative Supervisor may transfer the employee(s) to another position within the classification provided there is no loss or change in hours, pay or work year. If the Union feels the transfer is unjust, it may submit a grievance to the final step of the grievance procedure.

JOB POSTING AND BIDDING PROCEDURE. (a) A position assignment vacancy is a position created by an employee who resigns, is promoted, terminated or retires, or the creation of a new position. When such vacancy occurs, the vacancy will be posted district-wide for a period of five (5) working days. Such position vacancy shall be awarded on the basis of seniority.
(b) A promotional vacancy is defined as a position in a higher classification which results in a higher base rate. Said vacancy shall be posted district-wide for a period of five (5) working days. The Employer will award the job on the basis of qualifications, skills, past performance, experience and seniority. If a senior applicant is not selected, he/she will be notified in writing as to the reasons(s) for his/her non- selection. His/her non-selection is grievable.

JOB POSTING AND BIDDING PROCEDURE. (a) All pelmanent vacancies and newly-created positions within the bargaining unit shall be posted for five (5) working days. The posting shall indicate the classification of work and rate of pay. Interested bargaining unit employees may make application for such vacancy by notifying the Probate Judge of their desire for the position within the posting period. Regular bargaining unit employees shall be give preference provided they made all the criteria and requirements of the job. The Probate Judge will be the final appointing authority. In making his selection the Probate Judge shall consider the following factors:

JOB POSTING AND BIDDING PROCEDURE. When a permanent vacancy occurs or new jobs are created, they will be filled by the Company in the following manner:
A. The Company will post, for a period of three (3) working days, a notice declaring the vacancy and advising that eligible employees may bid for the vacancy.
B. Within (5) working days after the expiration of the three (3) day bid period, the Company will select from among all employees who bid for the job, the most senior bidder providing ability, experience, physical fitness and dependability are relatively equal.
C. The successful bidder will be given up to 45 days trial period to demonstrate his qualifications for the job, and will receive the corresponding rate for that classification during the trial period. Additionally, during this trial period, the successful bidder will be given a performance review within a 15 day and 30 day interval and advised as to whether his work performance is satisfactory.

E. In the event an employee is absent from work at the time a job is posted, he will be allowed (5) working days to enter his bid for the position after he has been notified that the vacancy exists.
