At the conclusion of a successful trial period the employee will be advised in writing that their promotion has been made permanent. 9.2.3 Should an applicant for promotion or transfer be unsuccessful, it is agreed that Management will discuss with the employee, if so requested, why their promotion or transfer was denied and will bring to the employee’s attention any shortcomings which may affect their opportunities for advancement.
