Personal and Professional Leave a personal or professional leave may be granted to a resident upon review of the circumstances by the Program Director. All eligible Paid Time Off (PTO) for that year must be used during this period. The personal or professional leave not covered by PTO is without pay. (See Policy No. 2005.20 and 2005.21)
Personal and Professional Leave. 1. During each school year within the term of this Agreement, each full time professional employee is entitled to three (3) personal leave days with pay each year cumulative to a maximum of six (6) days. Personal and professional leave shall not be used during the first five (5) and last five (5) days of the student school year except at the sole discretion of the Superintendent on a case by case basis. Prior notification of intention to use said personal leave days shall be submitted in writing so that proper records can be maintained. An employee who has accumulated a maximum of six (6) personal leave days at the end of any school year shall automatically have a maximum of three (3) such personal leave days transferred and added to his or her sick leave as additional sick leave days.
Personal and Professional Leave. Teachers covered by this plan shall be allowed personal and professional leave not to exceed two (2) days' absence each year at the rate of the deduction per day in accordance with Section C, 1, a (2) of this article. Teachers planning to use a day or days under this provision shall notify their immediate supervisor at least one (1) day in advance, except in cases of emergency. Approval of such leaves may be withheld at the discretion of the Board. Unused personal and professional leave days shall be converted to retirement service credit at the end of each school year.
Personal and Professional Leave. Teachers shall be allowed personal and professional leave earned at the rate of one (1) day for each half year employed, which shall not accumulate from year to year. Teachers planning to use a day or days under this provision shall notify their immediate supervisor at least one (1) day in advance, except in cases of emergency. Approval of such leaves may be withheld at the discretion of the Board as outlined in TCA 49-5- 711. Unused personal and professional leave days shall be converted to sick leave days at the end of each school year.
Personal and Professional Leave. 20 Each certificated employee shall receive four (4) days leave annually during which time no salary 21 deduction shall be made for absences on account of professional or personal reasons. Beginning 22 in year two (2) of this agreement, this number shall increase to five (5). Staff working less than 23 full time will receive leave prorated based on their FTE. Beginning in year three (3) of this 24 agreement, up to three (3) paid personal and professional leave days not used will be paid in the 25 June warrant at a rate equal to the long-term substitute rate as defined in Article IV Section 12.
Personal and Professional Leave. A. The Board shall grant each employee two (2) days of personal leave as provided for in T.C.A. 49-5-711.
Personal and Professional Leave. The Principal will be allowed, on a non-cumulative basis, three (3) days of paid personal leave per contract year. Requests for such leave must be made in writing to the Superintendent as soon as possible, and not less than forty-eight (48) hours before the absence occurs, whenever possible. Such leave shall be allowed only when approved by the Superintendent. Approval for professional days, and other absences, will be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent.
Personal and Professional Leave. Personal leave shall be earned at the rate of three (3) days annually at full salary noncumulative. Principals wishing to take a personal day shall give the superintendent three (3) days written notice, except in cases of emergency. Principals who have not used their personal leave days by the end of the current contract year will be paid for up to two (2) of those days at the daily rate of pay. Temporary leave at full salary for professional business necessitated by school position and related to the individual principal’s assignment shall be made available to the principal at the discretion of the superintendent. Any principal granted professional leave shall be entitled to reimbursement from the school district for travel, meals, lodging and registration fees necessarily incurred in connection with such leave. Such expenses shall also be paid for attendance at professional activities during evenings or weekends when prior approval has been obtained from the School District.
