HOLIDAYS AND FLOATING HOLIDAYS. For federally regulated employees, the parties agree that Article 39 meets the requirements of Part III, Division V, General Holidays of the Canada Labour Code and that the Civic Holiday is substituted for November 11 (Remembrance Day).

A statutory holiday falling within an employee's vacation period is not counted as part of the vacation, but is taken as an extra day of holiday. Payment for statutory holidays will be on the basis of straight time for the normal hours of work per day.
