Overtime and Meal Allowance. (i) Overtime shall mean all hours worked in excess of a regular tour of duty, and shall be paid for or accumulated in a Time Bank at time and one-half (1 2) for all such hours worked, save and except as otherwise expressly provided for in this agreement.
(ii) Members who are on regularly scheduled time off, or annual holiday may voluntarily agree to work during their time off for overtime rates.
(b) When members are required to be on duty for any period in excess of one-quarter (3) hour after their normal tour of duty they shall be credited with one-quarter (3) hour of overtime for the next following one-quarter (3) hour and if overtime continues in excess of one-half (2) hour beyond their normal tour of duty such overtime shall be calculated from the end of their normal tour of duty.
(c) Banked time shall mean all overtime, court time and call out time, that the member deposits to his or her time bank. In any event, a member’s time bank shall not exceed sixty (60) hours of banked time, without permission of the Chief of Police, to be taken as time off in lieu. Members may ask the Chief of Police via written request to have their time bank reduced by cashing in a maximum of half of the members accumulated time, to a maximum of thirty (30) hours, twice per calender year. Such written request shall be delivered to the office of the Chief of Police at least two weeks prior to the pay period in which the money is to be received. The Chief of Police will determine the status of the present budget, and overtime accounts prior to granting a pay out of the banked time. If the Chief of Police denies a written request for cashing in of the time bank, the member will receive reasons for the decision in writing.
(d) Call Out shall apply when a member who has completed their regular tour of duty and left the place where the regular tour of duty is terminated and who is required to report for duty as ordered by the Chief of Police or designee, shall be paid in any event not less than four (4) hours for the first hour or any part thereof. Overtime rates shall apply to all time worked over the first hour.
(i) Members called in four (4) hours or earlier before the start of a shift shall be paid call out under clause (d) of this article, until the proper commencement time of their shift.
(ii) Members who are assigned to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, or who are called back to duty for reasons of Police Team Meetings shall be entitled to the Call Out provision...
Overtime and Meal Allowance. 27.01 Any employee who is required to work overtime 3 hours or more beyond the end of his regularly scheduled shift shall be granted a meal allowance equal to one hour of pay at straight time.
Overtime and Meal Allowance. 4.5.1. All authorised time worked in excess of or outside of the ordinary hours of duty prescribed by clause 4.1 shall be overtime and shall be calculated in accordance with this clause for the purposes of Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) as detailed in clause 2.14.
4.5.2. Generally, overtime worked will accrue Time Off in Lieu of payment, however in circumstances deemed appropriate by the employer, overtime worked in accordance with clause 4.5 may be paid, rather than accrue TOIL.
4.5.3. Where the ordinary hours of duty are fixed, each day's work shall stand alone in computing overtime and overtime rates shall apply to all time worked in excess of or outside of the fixed hours.
4.5.4. Where daily ordinary hours of duty are flexible the total hours worked in a work cycle as defined in clause 4.1.4 shall be computed and overtime rates shall apply to all time worked in excess of the ordinary hours of duty prescribed for the work cycle.
4.5.5. Any period, of overtime which is continuous with ordinary duty and which extends beyond midnight shall be deemed to have been performed on the day the overtime commenced.
4.5.6. Where overtime is not continuous with ordinary duty and involves duty before and after midnight, the overtime shall be deemed to have been worked on the day for which the higher rate is payable.
4.5.7. Overtime shall be calculated to the nearest quarter of an hour of the total amount of overtime worked in a work cycle.
4.5.8. An employee in receipt of a salary in excess of that prescribed for the top sub-division of SUE 7 shall not be eligible to receive payment for overtime but shall be allowed time off equivalent to the period of overtime worked.
4.5.9. The salary of an employee for the purposes of computation of overtime shall not include the casual loading prescribed by clause 2.

Overtime and Meal Allowance. Employees shall be provided with a Meal Allowance by the Employer or remuneration of $12.00 when:
i. they work two (2) hours of overtime in any continuous shift;
ii. for each additional four (4) hours overtime in any continuous shift; or
iii. they work four (4) hours on any call out.
Overtime and Meal Allowance. 13.1 All time worked outside ordinary hours of work prescribed by clause 10 is overtime and will be paid for at the rate of time and one-half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. For work after 12 noon on a Saturday the rate is double time.
(1) Employees whose fixed hours of employment are less than 38 hours per week may be worked without payment of overtime: up to 2 hours after the fixed finishing time on any 1 day ; or on, but not more than 4 days in any calendar month; or 8 days in any 2 consecutive calendar months.
(2) Overtime will be paid if the worker has to work more than 9 hours in any 1 day (between 6.00 am and 6.00pm) or more than 38 hours in any week; Provided further that such 9 hours must be worked between 6.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.
13.3 In computing overtime: any portion of an hour of less than 30 minutes will be paid as 30 minutes; and any portion in excess of 30 minutes will be paid as 1 hour in total.
(1) After overtime is worked employees should have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty if it is practical to arrange it.
(2) If an employee has worked so much overtime that they have not had a 10 hour break between the last shift on one day and the commencement of work on the next day, then the employee is not to commence work until they have had a 10 hour break. Ordinary hours due to be worked by the employee will be paid until the employee returns to work at the end of the 10 hour break.
(3) If it is necessary for the employee to resume working without a break of 10 consecutive hours then the employee is to be paid double time. This penalty rate will apply until the employee is given a break of 10 consecutive hours. While the break is taken the employee is to be paid their entitlement to ordinary pay for the duration of their shift not worked.
13.5 An Employee working overtime is to be paid a meal allowance in any of the following circumstances: when required to work after 6.00 pm - $10.55. if overtime continues after 10.00 pm - another $10.55.
13.6 This clause must apply to casual employees and in such cases overtime must be calculated on the casual rate of pay specified in subclause 9.1.
Overtime and Meal Allowance. 9.1 Subject to this Agreement, overtime shall be paid for all time worked outside of the Employees rostered hours in clause 8.1 above at the rate of time and one half (of the ordinary time rate of pay) for the first eight hours worked each week Monday to Friday inclusive, within a pay week of Saturday to Friday, and at the rate of double time (of the ordinary rate of pay) thereafter for that week.
9.2 A Meal Allowance will be paid at a rate of $7.80 per day (Monday to Friday) when an Employee works continuously ten (10) hours or more (excluding lunch breaks) in any one day.
9.3 When overtime work is necessary it shall, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that an Employee has a least ten consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days.
9.4 An Employee shall not knowingly commence work without having a minimum of ten hours break unless specifically authorised by their supervisor. In the event that an Employee is rostered or through other events is required to work such overtime that would result in a break between shifts of less than ten hours, they must immediately notify their supervisor, who will provide further direction. The supervisor may alter the Employee’s starting time for the following shift in order to provide a minimum ten hour break between shifts and be entitled to payment for the minimum of that day’s ordinary hours from the scheduled starting time.
9.5 If, on instructions of Boral, such an Employee resumes or continues work without having had such ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double rates until released from duty and shall then be entitled to be absent for such a period of ten consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for ordinary working time occurring during such absence.
Overtime and Meal Allowance.

b) When members are required to be on duty for any period in excess of one half hour of the normal tour of duty such overtime shall be calculated from the end of their normal tour of duty.
c) Any Member who, for operational reasons, is unable to take their lunch, shall be permitted to reschedule their lunch period with approval of their supervisor. If rescheduling is not possible, the Member will be paid at straight time for any portion of the lunch break not taken. Members shall be entitled to the following lunch periods based on duration of scheduled shift;
Overtime and Meal Allowance. 12.1 Employees who are required to work overtime of more than one hour and a half’s duration and who have not been notified of the requirement to work overtime on the previous day earlier will be provided with a meal allowance of $10.44.
12.2 The meal allowance will be adjusted in line with the decisions of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
12.3 Should overtime be cancelled prior to the start of overtime, if an employee can prove this caused hardship or loss the Employer will reimburse the employee for hardship or loss.
Overtime and Meal Allowance. (a) Monday to Saturday overtime shall be time and a half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Sunday overtime shall be paid at a rate of 2 times and Public Holiday overtime shall be paid at 2.5 times.
(b) Employees shall work reasonable overtime when requested by the Company
(c) A meal allowance of $10.35 shall be paid to employees required to work overtime without 1 days notice.
(d) An employee shall be entitled to a 10 hour break between the finish of one work period and the start of another. Where the Company requires the employee to work without such a break the employee shall be paid overtime rates until the work period ceases.
