EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. Teachers shall have the right to join or refrain from joining the Association. The Association agrees to represent equally and without prejudice all members of the bargaining unit.
EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. X. Xx employee elected to a state or national office of a bona fide professional organization is eligible for a leave of absence without pay under the provisions of the leave of absence policy of the Board of Education.
B. The Cedar Cliff School Employees Association, through a designated representative, shall have the right to all regularly scheduled or special meetings of the Board to speak to any issue opened for public discussion.
C. The President of the Employees Association shall be provided with a copy of an agenda for each regular or special Board meeting.
D. The President of the Employees Association shall receive from the Board a directory listing the names and job assignments of all employees of the Board. This directory will be provided on or before October 1 of each year.
E. Names and addresses of new employees shall be provided to the Employees Association president as early as practical following Board approval of their contracts.
F. The Employees Association or any committee thereof, shall have the right to use school buildings and facilities without charge for meetings during the custodian's scheduled work time. At other times the Employees Association may use the building according to regulations established by the Board with no rental charge except reimbursement to the Board for custodial wages.
G. The Employees Association shall have the right to use the bulletin board in the school offices and lounges for Employee Association announcements. All grievances or matters having to do with the management of the personnel of the Cedar Cliff School system shall first be taken up with the proper administrative officials prior to being brought before the Board of Education. Employees or groups of employees desiring to address the Board of Education on any matter shall direct their communications in care of the Treasurer and not to any individual board member, except that copies of any such communication would be sent to all board members and Superintendent by the Treasurer.

EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. 4.1 Bargain in Good Faith The employer recognizes that the GEO has the unlimited right to bargain in good faith on matters, which relate to wages, benefits, hours of work, and other terms and conditions of employment.

EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. 19.1 The Association shall have the following rights in addition to the rights expressly contained in any other portion of this Agreement:
19.1.1 CSEA shall have the right of access to District employees at reasonable times. The term, “reasonable times” as used herein means employee meal or rest periods and any time before or after an employee’s assigned duty time. CSEA shall not interfere with the normal work duties of workers or the operation of the employer.
19.1.2 The right to use instructional bulletin boards, mailboxes, and other lawful means of communication for the posting or transmission of information or notices concerning Association matters. All costs shall be paid by the Association. This right shall include the use of the District email in compliance with the District’s technology use policy. All the Association uses of District equipment and resources shall conform to all requirements of law. The Association agrees not to post or distribute information which is derogatory or inflammatory of the District or its personnel. Such material shall be immediately withdrawn or removed if distributed or posted.
19.1.3 The right to use without charge, instructional equipment, facilities, and buildings when available with prior approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.
19.1.4 The right to review employee personnel files when accompanied by the employee or with written authorization signed by the employee.
19.1.5 On an annual basis, or upon written request by CSEA, the employer shall, without charge, furnish CSEA with an alphabetical list of all members in the bargaining unit; identify them by name, months per year in paid status and annual salary, and indicating the amount deducted, if any, and whether such deduction is for dues.
19.1.6 The Association agrees to provide the District with the names and titles of all officers and other official Association representatives.
19.1.7 The Association officers and officials shall make arrangements with their immediate supervisors before leaving their work stations to perform Association business authorized by law.

EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. Every employee covered by this Agreement shall have the right to present grievances in accordance with this procedure. The Association shall also have this right. The Association President shall be furnished a copy of said grievance before presentation.
EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. A. The District agrees to the employee’s rights with respect to hours, wages, terms and conditions of employment conferred by laws of Michigan or the Constitutions of Michigan and the United States. The District will not discriminate against any employee by reason of:
1. Membership in the Association;
2. Participation in activities of the Association, including collective negotiations with the District;
3. Institution of any grievance, complaint, or proceeding under this Agreement, or otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment;
B. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any employee rights he/she may have under the Michigan General School Laws or applicable Civil Service Laws and Regulations. The rights and resultant responsibilities granted to employees hereunder shall be deemed to be in addition to those provided elsewhere.
C. The parties recognize that the availability of good school facilities for both students and employees are desirable to insure a high quality of education.
1. Smoking shall be allowed, outside of school buildings but on district property, after 6:00 p.m. on school days and at all times when school is not in session. At such time as the Board adopts a District-wide smoke-free environment policy, smoking shall no longer be allowed anywhere on school property.
2. Telephone facilities shall be made available to employees for their use.
3. Vending machines may be installed in employee rooms at the request of the Association. The profits will be used as designated by the employees using the facility.
4. Sufficient parking space shall be made available to employees for their use. Snow will be removed to provide access to parking, sidewalks, and gas pumps.
5. First aid supplies shall be available at each work site.
D. The provisions of this Agreement and the wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment shall be applied without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national origin, sex, marital status, age, physical characteristics, disability, and membership in or association with the activities of the Association.
E. The employees shall have the right to wear insignias, pins, or other identification of membership in the Association either on or off school premises.
F. The Association shall be provided with bulletin boards, or sections thereof, for the purpose of posting Association materials.

EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. A The District and the Association recognize the right of employees to form, join, and participate in lawful activities of the employee organization and the equal alternative rights of employees to refuse to form, join, and participate in employee organization activities. Therefore, each party agrees that neither will impose or threaten to impose reprisals, to discriminate or threaten to discriminate, or otherwise interfere with, restrain or coerce the employees of the District exercising this right. B The Association and its members shall have the right to make use of school equipment, buildings, and facilities subject to the Civic Center Act. Equipment shall include those items which are available for Civic Center use or are used by employees in the regular course of their duties when such equipment is not otherwise in use. C The Association shall have the use of a bulletin board at each school site in an area frequented by employees. The Association may use the District internal mail system and employee mail boxes for communications to employees. D Authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property.
1. During regular duty hours, Association representatives shall register with the office as a visitor upon initial entrance on site and provide information about the length and place of the visit.
2. Unless on association or district leave for union business, Association business shall be conducted at times outside of unit members’ work hours, regular teaching duties and obligations. E The District agrees to provide the Association with one copy of documentation relevant and material to the negotiation process. G The President of the Association shall have up to seven (7) days of leave for Association business per year. The Association shall pay the cost of a substitute unless the Association president is conducting business for the District.
EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATION RIGHTS. A. B. The Association shall have the right of access to District employees at reasonable times. Reasonable times shall mean rest, meal periods, and periods during which an employee is present at the school site but not expected to perform service or to be ready to perform service for the District. Any representative of the Association, prior to entering a school site, shall report to the school site office and provide appropriate credentials for identity purposes. The Association representative who is exercising the right of access to employees shall not disturb, disrupt or otherwise interfere with the work of any employee of the District.
C. The Association shall have the right to utilize a bulletin board at each work site used for communicating with District employees, teacher mail boxes, and District mail service. A copy of the material shall be provided to the site administrator or designee prior to being posted.
D. The Association may utilize the District’s email system to disseminate communications of general information to unit members, provided the communication:
1. Complies with the District’s policies and regulations for appropriate use of District computers, technology, and email systems;
2. Is sent by the ETA President, who shall first obtain advance authorization from the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources to ensure compliance with the District’s appropriate use policies and regulations;
3. Is prepared during non-working hours;
4. Is sent before or after student instructional hours;
5. The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources is copied on the communication when sent to members;
6. Prevents against a “mass” response to all recipients as opposed to an individualized response to the ETA President; A failure by ETA, including its officers or members, to abide by these requirements shall result in revocation of this privilege and benefit.
E. The District will provide the Association with a single copy documentation relevant and material to...
