ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. 3.1 As a condition of continued employment, all employees shall pay to the Association monies equal to the established dues of the Association. 3.2 The dues referred to in 3.1 shall be deducted each pay from the employee’s salary and remitted to the Association within thirty (30) days following the deduction. 3.3 The payment of dues does not require the employee to become a member. Should an employee’s membership be refused or revoked by the Association, the employee’s continued employment shall not be affected. 3.4 The Company shall not be liable for any claims that may be made against the Company for amounts deducted in accordance with the above. 3.5 The Company shall not discriminate against any employee because of the employee’s connection with the Association, or the employee’s activities related thereto which are permitted by the Company, sanctioned by the terms of the Collective Agreement or are in accordance with those rights and privileges defined in the Employment Standards Code and the Labour Relations Code, nor shall the Association discriminate against any employee because of the employee’s non-membership in the Association. 3.6 During the life of this Agreement, the Company shall not cause or direct any lockout of its employees, nor shall the Association cause, permit, or in any way encourage employees to participate in any strike, walkout, slowdown or suspension of work. 3.7 The Company shall provide the Association with all policies and directives that affect the employees covered by this Agreement. 3.8 The Company shall advise the Association or appropriate Job Discipline Representative (JDR) or Unit Coordinator (UC) of all new hires. JDRs and UCs shall be given time to privately meet with new employees working in the area. 3.9 The Association shall provide the Company with a current list, and amendments, containing the name and location of each Association representative employed by the Company. 3.10 A joint committee comprised of management and Association representatives will meet on an as needed basis up to three times per year to discuss the ongoing labour/management relationship. 3.11 At Management discretion the Company will approve and pay for labour relations training for AltaLink employees who are UUWA representatives if it is beneficial to the employee, the UUWA and AltaLink and if it is within the overall training time and budget priorities and limitations. 3.12 The Company shall pay for the cost of embroidering a Fire Resistan...

ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. A. Subject to the provisions that Association business shall not interfere with the normal and routine operation of any District-authorized program in any building of the District and, further, that Association business shall not be conducted at District expense or on school time, provision is hereby made to authorize Association use of District facilities, equipment and services. The Association shall pay to the District all costs incurred incidental to such use. B. The Association shall be supplied, upon written request, with a copy of the current Annual School District Financial Report (Form B), reports or information prepared by the District for public distribution, together with information which may be necessary for the Association to process any grievance. It is agreed that the foregoing shall not be construed to require the District to compile information or statistics not already compiled. Original records of the foregoing are to be examined only at the office of the District. Further, the Association agrees that it shall pay the District for any expense involved in the preparation of information for the Association's use. C. The Superintendent, or his/her designee, and if he/she so desires, the Superintendent's Cabinet of the District shall meet with the executive committee of the Association, or their designee, upon the request of either party, to discuss matters of mutual concern relating to the administration and interpretation of this Agreement. The time, location, and subject matter of each meeting shall be by mutual agreement. These meetings shall not supplant any of the provisions in Article XI (Grievance Procedure) or other provisions and requirements of the parties as set forth elsewhere in this Agreement. D. The Association shall be granted fourteen (14) days per year for use by Building Administrators participating in Association activities. A charge will also be made against this leave bank whenever a substitute is hired because of negotiations.
ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. A. Upon request, the Association or any committee thereof shall have the right to use school buildings and facilities on days school is in session, without charge, for professional purposes. Bulletin boards in teachers' lounges, interschool mail, and teachers' mailboxes shall be made available without censorship for Association use. If the building principal desires to control access to mailboxes, he/she may either designate available office personnel to place Association materials in mailboxes as soon as possible or ask that the Association designate a single person to place materials in mailboxes whose name shall be submitted to the principal by September 1st of each contract year. B. Duly authorized representatives of the Association and its affiliates may transact Association business on school property any time before, after, or during the regular school day; provided, however, that no such business shall be transacted on any class time, nor shall such Association business in any way interfere with scheduled student-teacher, parent-teacher, or administrator- teacher conferences. All visitors, including Association representatives, must report to the building office during open office hours before transacting such business and sign in. C. The Association may have the right to use school-owned equipment and facilities providing that: 1. Such use does not interfere with the normal school functions. 2. The cost of expendable supplies and repairs for damage caused by misuse of equipment will be the obligation of the Association. When special custodial services are required, the Board may make reasonable charge therefore. 3. Prior clearance for any such use is first obtained from the building principal, provided that no such request shall be unreasonably denied. Simple copying or faxing does not require prior approval where copying/faxing equipment is available.
ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. The Managers hold positions of trust given to them by their employers, inter alia vis-à-vis workers. As a result, the Managers cannot be covered by the undertaking's collective agreements for non-managerial workers.
ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. A. A joint Administration-Association Committee shall be established and meet as needed to discuss the interpretation and administration of the Agreement. This committee will be appointed each September 1, with three (3) members to be appointed by the Association and one (1) by the Board. Each party has a right to request that additional meetings be held; both parties can mutually agree to cancel a meeting if there are no matters to discuss. These conferences are only advisory in nature and are not meant to be an extension of the collective bargaining process but are meant to provide a forum for such matters which may directly affect the Agreement and its implementation. B. The Association and its members shall, upon proper application and/or approval, be permitted to hold meetings in school facilities, such use shall be free of charge, provided no additional custodial service cost is involved for the school district. The Association agrees that no Association activities will be conducted during the normal working hours. This Association shall have the ti8!!! to use on the school premises, C. The Board and the Association mutually pledge themselves to continue to recognize the full constitutional and civil rights of all employees. No religious or political activities in the personal life of an employee, or the lack thereof, shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the employment of such employee. The provisions of this Agreement shall be applied without regard to race, creed, religion, color, sex, age or national origin, but within the provisions of the Constitution of the United States. D. Any employee who feels she/he has been unjustly treated with respect to any or all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement may seek redress under the provisions of the grievance procedure. E. The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests all available official information concerning the financial resources of the district and such other information as will assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed and constructive programs on behalf of the employees, together with infonnation which may be necessary for the Association to process any grievance or complaint.
ASSOCIATION RELATIONSHIPS. A. It is the purpose of this article to establish certain Association-District relationships which will insure the most productive results of their joint and individual efforts to improve the educational program of the District. In addition to certain staff relationships, provision is made to authorize Association use of District facilities, equipment and services as hereinafter stated, subject to the general restriction that unless specifically exempted, Association business shall not interfere with the normal and routine operation of the educational program of any building or of the District; nor shall Association business be conducted at District expense or on school time. The rights granted herein shall not be granted or extended to any other teacher organization except where a valid question concerning representation has been clearly raised. B. The Association may use the buildings of the District for meetings. C. A bulletin board shall be designated in each building for use by the Association for the posting of notices (meetings, elections, vacancies, and social events), reports, and information. All posted items shall carry an indication of responsibility for the item. Posting shall be the responsibility of the Association Representative in each building. Classroom or hallway bulletin boards shall not be used for these purposes. D. Regular District publications may be used for notices of meetings, elections and social events. E. Association materials may be circulated through the regular school distribution system and/or teacher mailboxes. F. The Association is authorized to use District equipment to prepare notices, the regular publications and reports, to use communications systems for making announcements, and to use District audio- visual equipment. G. The Association shall be supplied with reports or information prepared by the District for public distribution to assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed, and constructive programs on behalf of the teachers, together with information which may be necessary for the Association to process any grievance. This shall not preclude distribution of reports or information to the Association prior to public distribution where the Association may have a special concern.
