HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. Section 1 of this Article supersedes Section 1 of Article 12, (Hours of Work) in the Central Region of Teamsters United Parcel Service Supplemental Agreement; the remaining sections of Article 12 apply.
Section 1. In the case of each full-time seniority employee the standard work week shall be forty (40) hours per week, and the standard work day shall be eight (8) hours per day. Work shall be scheduled for five (5) consecutive days – Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. An employee may be required to work in excess of an eight (8) hour day or forty (40) hour week and in that event, he/she shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) his/her regular straight time rate for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a day or forty (40) hours in a week. The Company shall continue its efforts to reduce overtime where requested. If the review does not indicate that progress is being made in the reduction of assigned hours of work the following language shall apply: “An employee shall have the right to file a grievance if the Company has continuously caused him to work over nine and one-half (9-1/2) hours per day.” If the grievance cannot be resolved at the District-Local Union level, it will go directly to the Region level of the grievance procedure. This procedure will not apply in the peak season of November and December. The first 90% of seniority, of full-time seniority employees called or put to work on the first full work day of the regular work week, (Monday or Tuesday depending as to whether the employee has a Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday work week), shall be guaranteed forty (40) hours of straight time pay each week they are required to report. The Employer shall be exempt from such weekly or daily guarantee if:
(A) an employee of his/her own initiative, takes off a regular scheduled work day during such work week or is suspended or discharged for just cause.
(B) due to conditions beyond the Employer’s control, such as, but not limited to, fire, floods, strikes, which reduce the volume, destruction, or snow storm, which as approximate result thereof caused a complete stoppage of all or part of the Employer’s operation.
(C) to the weeks of Christmas and New Years.
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. Employees shall not be scheduled to work with fewer than eight (8) hours between shifts except by mutual consent between the Employee and Employer. The Employer will maximize full time shifts. In addition, full time employees may access part time shifts as a result of losing shifts due to lack of production.
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. The normal hours of work for all full time employees shall be eight (8) hours worked (exclusive of unpaid breaks), and eighty (80) hours per two
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. As a fulltime employee, you are required to work 40 hours per week. You are required to work any other irregular reasonable additional hours as directed by the Company, in order for you to perform all of your duties and functions and discharge all allocated responsibilities with the required attention and skill. You and the Company agree that the hours you may be required to work under this Employment Agreement (including any irregular additional hours) are reasonable having regard to all relevant factors including but not limited to:
i. the nature of the position you hold, and the duties and responsibilities associated with that position;
ii. the nature of the Company's business and the operational requirements of the business;
iii. the remuneration paid to you which you acknowledge has been calculated taking into account the hours required to be worked by you;
iv. you agreeing, under the terms of this Employment Agreement, that any additional hours worked are reasonable and necessary to properly perform your obligations under this Employment Agreement and meet the requirements of the Company. You shall be available to carry out your duties during normal business hours and at other times as necessary and reasonable in order to satisfy the requirements of your position. The requirement to work 40 hours per week and any other irregular reasonable additional hours has been taken into account in calculating your Remuneration Package and you are not entitled to receive any additional remuneration for any reasonable additional hours you may be required to work.
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. The Employer will maximize full-time shifts. In addition, full-time employees may access part-time shifts as a result of losing shifts due to lack of production.
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. 12.01 Standard Hours of Work The standard hours of work shall be (as per site requirements);
(a) Twelve (12) hours shifts and forty-eight (48) hours per week. A week shall commence at 12:00:01 am Friday and end at 12:00 midnight on the immediate following Thursday.
HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. Section 1 - Shifts
a. The work week for all full time employees shall be defined as forty (40) hours in any period of five (5) consecutive days or less. The Employer may utilize the following schedules for full time employees in its operations.
1. Five (5) eight (8) hour days;
2. Four (4) ten (10) hour days;
3. Three (3) thirteen (13) hour days; or
4. Two (2) twelve (12) hour and two (2) eight (8) hour days. (The number of such shifts shall not exceed two percent (2%) of the total number of existing shifts system-wide.)
b. When the above schedules do not meet the needs of the opera- tion, the Company may utilize part time employees, to the extent they exist. Split shift vacancies shall not exceed five (5) system-wide. Any acceptance of the split shift will obligate the employee to remain on the shift until he has the ability to bid to another vacancy under Article 14. If no employee accepts a split shift, the Company may hire additional employee(s) to cover it, or utilize an outside service to cover the work.
c. Split shifts will be limited to gateways with three (3) or less full time AMTs. UPS will notify and discuss with the Union all split shifts prior to implementation.
d. The Company may include as part of any Annual Shift Realignment bid, the number of annual schedules for AMT and Utility relief positions provided for elsewhere in this Agreement for the purpose of coverage for known absences due to vacation, disability leaves, worker’s compensation, FMLA, military leave and training. The actual weekly schedule for the first quarter for each employee will be developed and provided to the employees who bid these schedules within one (1) week after the vacation schedules are awarded. The weekly schedules for the remainder of the year will be provided prior to the first quarterly preference bid.
e. The relief schedules shall provide, at least, forty (40) guaranteed hours each workweek. The workweek shall be determined by the schedule of the employee being covered. Each relief sched- ule shall have a designated home shift for the year for those weeks when coverage is not being provided. At least, two (2) scheduled days off will be provided in each workweek. Regular overtime rules will be applicable to these shifts. Employees bid- ding these shifts shall not be eligible for field service or TDY assignments.

HOURS OF WORK FULL-TIME. 13.01 The normal hours of work shall be seventy hours in a two-week period. The seventy (70) hours shall be actual hours worked and shall not include meal hours and shall be arranged to include no more than two (2) evenings per week and alternate weekends, except by mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee. Employees may be required to work either Saturday or Sunday on alternate weekends. On alternate weekends, when an employee works on Sunday instead of on Saturday, Sunday shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's regular rate, except that full-time employees shall be compensated in equivalent lieu time for any hours in excess of seven (7).
13.02 The Employer shall schedule in a normal day two (2) rest periods of fifteen

Employees shall not be required to work more than two (2) evenings per week except by mutual Agreement between the Employer and the employee. Employees shall not be required to work more than two (2) weekend shifts out of eight in a four (4) week period. By mutual Agreement between the Employer and employee, an employee may be scheduled to work more than two (2) weekend shifts out of eight (8).
13.02 The Employer shall schedule in a normal day two (2) rest periods of fifteen(15) minutes each, and an unpaid meal period of one (1) hour.
