General Scope of Services Requirements. 2.1.1.1 Review existing curriculum. 2.1.1.2 Form a focus group of tribal attorneys and use contract funding to compensate focus group members to help contractor adapt and develop the curriculum. 2.1.1.3 Adapt or develop a fact pattern intended to illustrate issues that arise in dependency cases governed by the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and Indian law specific issues that may arise during representation of tribes such as, tribal rights and participation, ethical and professional issues in representing and obtaining instructions from a tribal entity. 2.1.1.4 The fact pattern must address issues at each hearing throughout the life of a case including emergency removal/detention, disposition, status review hearings, hearing to terminate reunification services, and Welfare and Institutions Code section 366.26 hearing. Specific legal issues to be addressed will include active efforts, ICWA placement preferences, qualified expert witness testimony, and permanency planning. 2.1.1.5 Skills to be addressed in the curriculum include evaluating a case plan to determine whether it meets the standards of active efforts; direct and cross examination of a social worker regarding case planning, delivery of active efforts, tribal engagement and collaboration and efforts to meet the ICWA placement preferences, evaluation of a qualified expert witness report and direct and cross examination of a qualified expert witness. 2.1.1.6 Materials to be developed include case file materials to be developed include sample delivered services logs, case plans, court reports and qualified expert witness reports. 2.1.1.7 Final work product will include an instructor guide for the trial skills trainers including ICWA and California specific law and legal standards. 2.1.1.8 Serve as faculty for the developed curriculum and help JCC staff recruit and vet other tribal experts as faculty for the delivery of this curriculum.

Contractor will plan, consult on, and create a culturally appropriate training curriculum (“Curriculum”) for a new training series that is from 10-12 hours in length at the direction and instruction of Judicial Council. The curriculum and training topics must include: 1) Child sexual abuse. 2) Physical abuse. 3) Emotional abuse. 4) Coercive control. 5) Implicit and explicit bias related to parties involved in domestic violence cases.

The Activity Book revision must include any significant changes to the descriptions of legal proceedings in the Activity Book and incorporate any additional appropriate content for children of all ages. The Contractor will create, update, and modernize illustrations, interactive games and activities as appropriate. The Contractor will present and finalize the Activity Book based on feedback from the Judicial Council staff. This final version should be print friendly. Tasks Meet with and obtain input from CFCC staff regarding outcomes for this project. Design and develop the draft outline of changes and updates. The Contractor is expected to update content based on current court procedures and commonly accepted publication standards for children’s books, including child-based images and activities across all age levels. Make modifications to draft outline based on feedback from CFCC staff. Develop full draft of the Activity Book update and provide to CFCC staff for review. Incorporate CFCC attorneys’ input and present a second draft of the Activity Book for review by CFCC staff and constituents. Working with CFCC staff, incorporate feedback and present final of the third edition of What’s Happening in Court? An Activity Book for Children who are Going to Court in California that is print ready, with guidance for how it might be adapted use online or mobile use.
General Scope of Services Requirements. The contractor will be expected to develop and deliver one, some, or all the three items listed below. Contractor will meet regularly with the Judicial Council and keep them updated on progress of the training series. Contractor will consult on, create a plan for delivery, and develop material for all or some of items 1 through 3: Live trainings: Deliverables 1-8 in Section 2.1.2 Six to eight-hour live interdisciplinary regional trainings (in person or by webinar) over one or two days for individual counties or regions depending on the county or counties. The curriculum developed for the interdisciplinary regional trainings must cover at least six topics. This same curriculum must be delivered at no fewer than six (6) regional or individual county trainings in Year 1 as determined by the Judicial Council. For Year 2 through Year 4, Contractor is only required to deliver 4 regional or individual county trainings. Topics for the regional or individual counties trainings can be any of the areas listed in (a)-(m) below negotiated between Contractor and the Judicial Council. Six 60-90 minute live Statewide Webinars in Year 1 based on the live interdisciplinary training topics: Contractor will present live statewide webinars based on the training topics delivered in Section 1. a above. For Year 2 through Year 4, Contractor is only required to deliver 4 live Statewide Webinars trainings. Six live or prerecorded 60-90 minute statewide webinars per year in addition to item 1 above. The six webinars can discuss any of the topics listed in (a)-(m) below negotiated between Contractor and the Judicial Council. Please see Deliverables 1-2, and 9-14 in Section 2.1.2 below. Work with E-Learning contractor on one 90 minutes distance learning course per year. Topics delivered can be any of the areas listed in (a) – (m) below negotiated between Contractor and the Judicial Council. Understanding the changing landscape of child welfare proceedings, including understanding current data and the impact on attorney and judicial practices and how to incorporate best practices into court proceedings. Advanced Team Building and Role Identification. Training shall build upon the directed concepts of: Legal and ethical requirements of interdisciplinary participants regarding reporting and confidentiality. General Scope of Services Requirements. The training program must encompass those aspects of the roles and responsibilities of attorneys in the juvenile justice system that can usefully be discussed in educational sessions by judicial officers, attorneys, and probation officers. The training curriculum must focus on topics such as an overview of juvenile delinquency law and process, new case law, and legislation as well as adolescent development, competence and capacity, confessions, probation terms and conditions, placement in xxxxxx care, transfer hearings, cultural competency, and implicit bias. The curriculum must include a distance learning component on each aspect of the curricula. Contractor must develop curriculum in a minimum 12-hour training session over one or two days in consultation with Judicial Council Staff. Contractor will present and finalize curriculum based on feedback from the Judicial Council staff. Trainings must encompass a mix of classroom-style instruction and group exercises and participation. (Year 1 and Year 2) The distance learning components must also include exercises and case scenarios based on role of the participant. (Year 2) Trainings are expected to last one or two days and approximately 12 hours and presented in a venue that will accommodate a minimum of 50 up to 120 participants. The distance learning component must be at least 1 hour in length for each component of the curricula. Curriculum development and one live training must be presented in Year 1. The training must take place in either Northern, Central, or Southern California. Two (2) live trainings must be presented in Year 2. One training must be presented in each of the following areas: Northern (ex. Sacramento or Xxxxxxx), Central (ex. Fresno, San Bernardino, Riverside), or Southern California (Los Angeles or San Diego). The final selections of all venues will require Judicial Council approval prior to any venue selection being finalized. The following key topics must be covered: an overview of juvenile delinquency law and process, new case law, and legislation as well as adolescent development, competence and capacity, confessions, probation terms and conditions, placement in xxxxxx care, transfer hearings, cultural competency, and implicit bias. General Scope of Services Requirements. The workforce study should include detailed data and analysis of that data on: the current state of the interpreter workforce; their availability to provide services in the courts; and projections and recommendations regarding the future court interpreter workforce. The Contractor shall utilize existing court interpreter data assets to identify areas in which additional data collection may be necessary, propose methods to obtain additional data to meet study requirements, and conduct interviews and focus groups. The Contractor will need to obtain their own license for a secure data collection platform and provide a copy of all data collected to the Judicial Council. The data collection is expected to begin as early as November 2024 and must be completed no later than July 31, 2025. The Contractor is expected to analyze the data and provide a draft report to the Judicial Council by August 29, 2025. A finalized, edited version of the report is due to the Judicial Council no later than September 30, 2025. Throughout the contract period, the Contractor is expected to meet with the Judicial Council Program Manager approximately on a monthly basis and provide a summary of project progress status on all aspects of the study, including but not limited to research proposals, data collection including surveys, summaries and findings of data analyzed, and interviews and focus groups. All research plans must be approved by the Judicial Council Program Manager prior to performing work. All written reports should adhere to the latest version of the Judicial Council Style Guide and any other related report guidelines, templates, etc. as directed by the Judicial Council Program Manager when submitting written work. All written work must be transmitted in a hardcopy format, as required by the Judicial Council, and electronically in an editable Microsoft Word format. Any proposed survey should be submitted to the Judicial Council in survey format for review and approval. All charts, tables, and graphics must be submitted in an editable format as well. The Contractor must submit an annotated bibliography and hard copies of all source materials used with each deliverable (and include an electronic link to an online source if available). General Scope of Services Requirements. Contractor will meet regularly with the Judicial Council and keep them updated on progress of the training series. Contractor will consult on creating a training curriculum (“Curriculum”) on four distinct topics at the direction and instruction of Judicial Council. Contractor will help with curriculum design and serve as co-faculty at the four training sessions, which will be based on the Curriculum. Contractor personnel who will present a training webinar (“Presenter”) will be a subject matter expert representing lived experience related to the curriculum and the Presenter will be agreed upon in advance by the parties. Contractor will not be responsible for training logistics or recruitment of other faculty. Training dates and times may be changed by oral agreement by both parties. Contractor will help develop resources and materials on the training topics specific to their subject matter expertise.

  • General Scope of Services Consultant promises and agrees to furnish to the City all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and incidental and customary work necessary to fully and adequately supply the services necessary for the Project ("Services"). The Services are more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. All Services shall be subject to, and performed in accordance with, this Agreement, the exhibits attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

  • Scope of Services The specific scope of work for each job shall be determined in advance and in writing between TIPS Member, Member’s design professionals and Vendor. It is permitted for the TIPS Member to provide a general scope description, but the awarded vendor should provide a written scope of work, and if applicable, according to the TIPS Member’s design Professional as part of the proposal. Once the scope of the job is agreed to, the TIPS Member will issue a PO and/or an Agreement or Contract with the Job Order Contract Proposal referenced or as an attachment along with bond and any other special provisions agreed by the TIPS Member. If special terms and conditions other than those covered within this solicitation and awarded Agreements are required, they will be attached to the PO and/or an Agreement or Contract and shall take precedence over those in this base TIPS Vendor Agreement.

  • General Scope of Work The Scope of Work and projected level of effort required for these SERVICES is described in Exhibit “A” attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this AGREEMENT. The General Scope of Work was developed utilizing performance based contracting methodologies.

  • Scope of Services and Term Subject to the provisions for early termination as set forth herein, the Contractor agrees that it will perform the Services enumerated in the scope of services attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference (the “Scope of Services”) for a term of one (1) year beginning , 2024 through , 2025 (the “Term”). The Authority in its sole discretion may extend the Agreement for two (2) additional one (1) -year periods, for a potential maximum term of three (3) years. The Authority will provide any such renewal notice in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to expiration of the Agreement. The maximum payment for the Term is set forth in Section II(a). All work shall be diligently performed by the Contractor in an economical, expeditious and professional manner.
