Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants. The School District shall provide uniforms to employees assigned as School Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants at no cost to the employee. Employees will be required to wear uniforms during the workday. Employees will be responsible for cleaning the uniform(s) provided by the District. Uniforms will be replaced on an as needed basis due to normal wear and tear or if lost through no fault of the employee. For replacement purposes, employees must turn in the appropriate garments. Any employee issued a uniform(s) who is leaving employment will be required to turn in his/her uniform(s) prior to receiving his/her last check. An employee who fails to comply with the Uniform Policy will be counseled and given a reasonable opportunity to comply prior to disciplinary action.

Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants. A. Bus drivers will be notified as soon as the District is aware of any student passenger who suffers such serious illness or epilepsy, heart condition, or diabetes. Attempts will be made by the administration to arrange for alternate transportation to the home of students who shall become ill during the school day.
Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants assigned routes during a scheduled summer school session shall be allowed use of accumulated sick leave benefits. There shall be no accumulation of additional benefits as a result of working a summer school session.
Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants. These employees are classified as Hourly, Non- Exempt, and are compensated based on the total number of hours worked at an appropriate hourly rate. They are not exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act Overtime Rule and will be paid accordingly. However, Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants cannot receive concurrent pay (double dipping) nor compensation for on-the-clock absences (payment for not working). ROUTE SCHEDULE TIME (RST): This form is utilized by management to define the unique start and end times of each employee's regular scheduled workday, which must be no less than 7 ½ hours. The RST should not be interpreted as an employment contract between individual employees and SDOC guaranteeing a fixed basic pay. Employees are expected to work the entirety of their regular scheduled workday. Tardiness or leaving the worksite early will result in deductions from Sick Leave balances and, for employees with no Sick Leave balance, will be unpaid.
Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants shall be required to submit to all physical examinations required by the Employer or by the law.
Bus Drivers and Bus Attendants assigned to directly support students in special education programs shall receive a copy of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) at a glance and/or a copy of the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) on file prior to the start of the school year for the purpose of informing the employee of the appropriate methods of support relevant to the student(s). A copy of the IEP and BIP will be provided to the Director of Transportation and shared with the appropriate Bus Driver and/or Bus Attendant assigned to support the student.

  • First Aid Attendants a) Designated First Aid Attendants shall receive their job rate of pay plus the Ticket Premium rate. All other employees holding valid First Aid Tickets shall receive a premium of five cents (5¢) per hour over and above their job rate. There shall be no stacking or pyramiding of premiums.

Preventive screenings include but are not limited to: • mammograms; • pap smears; • prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests; • flexible sigmoidoscopy; • double contrast barium enema; • fecal occult blood tests, screening for gestational diabetes, and human papillomavirus; and • genetic counseling for breast cancer susceptibility gene (BRCA). This plan covers colonoscopies in accordance with R.I. General Laws § 27-18-58. Covered healthcare services include an initial colonoscopy or other medical tests or procedures for colorectal cancer screening and a follow-up colonoscopy if the results of the initial test are abnormal. Contraceptive Methods and Sterilization Procedures for Women This plan covers the following contraceptive services: • FDA approved contraceptive drugs and devices requiring a prescription; • barrier method (cervical cap, diaphragm, or implantable) fitted and supplied during an office visit; and • surgical and sterilization services for women with reproductive capacity, including but not limited to tubal ligation. Breastfeeding Counseling and Equipment This plan covers lactation (breastfeeding) support and counseling during the pregnancy or postpartum period when provided by a licensed lactation counselor. This plan covers manual, electric, or battery operated breast pumps for a female member in conjunction with each birth event.
