VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING. When a permanent full-time vacancy occurs in the Emergency Department, it shall be posted in accordance with Article 10.07 of the Collective Agreement and for the tour length and type which is vacated on the schedule. For purposes of clarity, should the vacated line be a normal tour line (8 hours), the position will be posted as a normal tour position and if it is an extended tour line (12 hours) it will be posted as an extended tour position. This information will be included on the Job Posting. If there are no applicants to the Job Posting, the Hospital may change the tour length and type, after discussion with the Union, and based on the operational needs of the Department. Between: And: Should a Unit/Program be unable to fill a temporary vacancy in accordance with Article 10.07(d) and the Nurse Manager/Director in her/his discretion determines to fill the temporary vacancy with an employee from outside the Unit/Program, then, full time employees may express interest to fill the vacancy and will be considered in the same manner as regular part time employees as per Article 10.07(d). Any self- scheduling schedules will follow the applicable scheduling conditions outlined in Article F- Hours of Work. Should the one time funding be made permanent, the parties agree to meet to discuss continuing or discontinuing this agreement. (a) Employees working the ten (10) hour tour rotations are covered by the Collective Agreement except as amended in this Article. (b) The procedures for the introduction or discontinuance of ten (10) hour tour rotations will be the same as for Extended Tour Rotations outlined in Article F-2, with the understanding that should the schedule have a monetary impact, Article F-5 (2) shall apply.

VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING. A vacancy is defined to mean any permanent full‐time or part-time job opening within the job classifications in this Agreement, which the Employer determines to fill. The Employer reserves the exclusive right to determine if a vacancy exists. Vacant bargaining unit positions on a given shift will be posted on a designated space for five (5) calendar days to give current qualified employees on other shifts or departments the opportunity to apply for the open position. Seniority of current qualified employees will prevail in selection for shifts or positions. The Employer may recruit applicants concurrently from outside the Bargaining Unit during the internal posting time and if no bargaining unit member is qualified or accepts the offered position, the Employer may hire from the outside pool. All Employees who apply for a vacant position will be notified that their application is being considered. Seniority of current employees will prevail in the selection of shifts or positions; provided the employee is qualified for the position based in the job description (education and experience requirements) as well as skill set and previous performance (including attendance and discipline in the previous eighteen (18) months). The application process will be determined at each Center during the Labor Management Committee (Article 4 – Labor Management Committee).

VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING. Section 1. Postings and Vacancies: A position vacancy is defined as one anticipated to last more than six (6) months. A temporary or substitute vacancy is defined as one anticipated to last less than six (6) months. A Temporary LOA Paraprofessional is defined as a paraprofessional who is hired for a position vacated by a specific Chaska Student Support Association paraprofessional who is on a short term or long term leave of absence. A Temporary LOA Paraprofessional position will last one (1) year or less. Postings will clearly state the type of position being posted.

In all vacancies in the Maintenance Department where a trade qualification is required, employees possessing the necessary shall be deemed to have achieved an equal level of skill and ability. Notice of vacancies Subject to Article notices of vacancies will be posted on the bulletin board for a period of four (4) working days prior to any appointment of such job, and copied to the Union Chairperson. Employees will make their application in writing no later than noon of the fourth working day following the day the notice is posted. VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING. 26.1 All newly created or vacant existing bargaining unit positions shall be posted on the Human Resources web page for two weeks, with an electronic copy to the UCPEA office. This specifically exempts positions that may be created and filled within a single unit. An UCPEA applicant for a bargaining unit position who meets the stated minimum qualifications and identifies him/herself as a member of the unit on his/her vita shall be granted an interview. 26.2 An employee, upon request, shall be given the status of her/his application or the reason he/she was rejected for a position. 26.3 In no case shall the failure to obtain the position or a disagreement with the reasons for being rejected be grievable or arbitrable under this agreement.
VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING. ‌ 9.01 Where the Employer determines there is a bargaining unit position vacancy which it wishes to fill, or a new bargaining unit position is created, the Employer shall post such vacancy or new position for a period of five (5) business days on the bulletin board designated for such and agreed upon by the Union and the Employer. The Employer also shall have the right simultaneously or subsequently to advertise publicly the position posting or otherwise give notice to non-bargaining unit persons of the position posting. The position posting shall set out an anticipated job description, anticipated hours of work, the wage rate range, and the qualifications required and/or preferred for the position. When a part time position or posting becomes a full time position it will be re- posted as above. When a part-time position becomes a full-time temporary position, for a duration of three (3) months or less, the following process shall be followed:  For single incumbent positions, the existing incumbent shall be offered the temporary full-time position;  For multiple incumbent positions, the temporary full-time position shall be offered on the basis of seniority. Any employee who is on authorized leave at the time a posting occurs, and who has made a request in writing specifying an interest in a particular position, prior to or during such leave shall be considered for that job posting occurring during the period of such leave. It is understood and agreed that there shall be no “standing” notice and that a fresh notice must be given in advance of such leave granted. 9.02 A position posted in accordance with Article 9.01 shall be filled by the employee with the demonstrably highest level of skill, ability, qualifications, education, and experience to perform the duties of the position. Where two or more employee applicants have the same level of skill, ability, qualifications, education, and experience to perform the duties of the position, then the Employer shall award the position to the applicant employee with the greatest seniority.
